Hi peeps! Happy Tuesday! It's time for the Anything Goes Challenge. This week's theme is super easy- animals! Can't wait to see what you all come up with!

I think I saved the best til last as far as the sneak peeks go. I think this is my favourite card of all my makes for the new release. It's Scuba Riley! I've made a little shaker card with glitter and beads. I coloured him with copics and paper pieced his swimming trunks. I used the seabed from the Mermaid Sophie image. I PC-generated the sentiment.

Close up! How cute does he look?!

Another close up! Papers by MME.

My final card for this release is Showgirl Sophie! How glam does she look?! I coloured her with copics, lyra pencil for ground shadow. I cut off the stamped piece of her head-dress to add a real feather. Papers are glittery and by DCWV. I added silver mirror board to add more glitz and some gorgeous bling!

Lots of glitter on her train and little outfit!

Hope you've enjoyed the blog hop and have enjoyed visiting my time as GDT for Riley & Co! x

First up is Hollywood Star Riley! I love this image, it's so versatile and can especially be used for kids' cards. I've coloured with copics. Paper is by Stampin Up. Nestie star used in the background.

Close up! Definately the star!

Second up is Map Riley. I've made this for a friend's birthday. He actually lives in Canada now so I think Riley combined with the sentiment is just perfect!! As usual, coloured with copics with lyra ground shadow and I sponged the background. Papers by MME.

How cute is he????! He's definately pondering over that map!!!

Riley on vacation- sneak peek day 4 plus new Riley Challenge!

Hi ya! It's my second post of the day to announce it's day 4 of our sneak peeks of the new Rileycollection "Riley on vacation" which features 15 new Riley images and a set of Riley travel stickers. This collection will be released on Thursday 28th July. Do check out the Riley blog for all the happenings concerning the release.

So here is one of the newest stamps called "Welcome to Las Vegas". I coloured with copics and added ground shadow with lyra pencils. Again I've used these papers by Echo Park because instantly they remind me of Vegas. I really like the red polka dot paper around the image because it mirrors the lights round the Vegas sign. This will be a perfect card for my hubbie as we had a fabulous time when we went to Vegas so I'm sure it will bring back lots of memories for him.

I will be entering this into the Riley Challenge this week which is "R" is for "Riley Recipe": use a Riley image, red, ribbon and rhinestones. Do pop by the Riley blog and join in!

Close up! I used red hot fix crystals for a bit of glam and Stickles on the little lights around the Vegas sign.

Loving this funky ribbon too! :0)

Riley on vacation- sneak peek day 2!

Hello! Hello! It's day 2 of our sneak peeks of the new Riley collection "Riley on vacation" which features 15 new Riley images and a set of Riley travel stickers. This collection will be released on Thursday 28th July. Do check out the Riley blog for all the happenings concerning the release.

This is such a great image for male cards. I made this for a friend of ours who likes to have a little gamble! I coloured Riley with copics and added shading with lyra pencils. I added the "Vegas" with rubs ons. I chose these fabulous papers by Echo Park because they remind me of Las Vegas especially the main background paper- doesn't it look like poker chips?!

Had a brainwave as remembered hubbie had some poker chips so added one which I think just finishes the card off a treat!

Usual close up!

Hello! Hope you're all well! I'm very excited to be Guest Designer for the new release of Riley stamps that will be available this coming Thursday 28th July. The release is called "Riley on Vacation" and features a fabulous, fun and versatile collection of stamps.

I will be showing a sneak peek of the new stamps every day until Thursday when there will be a Riley & Co Blog Hop with stamps to be won!

So here is my sneak peek for Day 1...

Doesn't he look like he's having a whale of a time?! I coloured Riley with copics and added Glossy Accents to the water. Papers are by October Afternoon- I used the light blue paper around the image because I thought it looked like swimming pool tiles. I made the top sentiment on my PC and die cut the "splash".

Usual close up!

Cupcake anyone...?

Hi folks! How's it going? We're having glorious sunshine here in Essex at the moment! Things are going well here. My Mum's procedure went well. She's come home with another stent in (boo) but they removed the drain! Yay! She is even thinking of going home in the next week or so which will be a bit wierd as she's been living here for 4 months now!!!!!

So I've got a bit of a long post today. I've made 3 cards and a bookmark for you to view. I'm also doing alot of work on my next Bind-It-All project which is a craft organiser. I can't wait to share it with you as I think it'll be super useful and I haven't seen that anyone has done anything similar.

Onto my first card.....

First up today is an old fav Stamping Bella stamp- Cupcakeabella. My Mum has asked me to make a card for one of her friend's birthdays who is a bit partial to cakes so I thought this would be perfect! I coloured her with a mixture of watercolour pencils and lyra pencils and paper pieced her dress. The gorgeous papers are by Heidi Grace Designs. The sentiment stamp is Hero Arts from their cupcake set. Do please click on the image to see it in more detail, for some reason it looks a bit dark in this photo.

I'd like to enter this into:
Simon Says Stamp- 1 image, 2 papers, 3 types of embellies
Alphabet Challenge- use ribbon
Cupcake Challenge- pink polka dots (they're pink & lilac, hope ok!)

Here is a close up of her! Doesn't that cupcake look yummy?!!

Crafty stash used: Stamps (Stamping Bella, Hero Arts); Copics; Watercolour pencils; Lyra pencils; Papers (Heidi Grace); Assorted cardstock; Nesties; Ribbon (Stampin Up); Pearls (Wild Orchid Crafts?); Buttons (Walmart); Flowers (Prima); Gem (Prima)

Next up is a card for my friend's little girl using this cutie Penny Black teddy. I coloured her with watercolour pencils and lyra pencils. The papers are by My Mind's Eye. The decorative strip is by K&Co. The sentiment is Papertrey Ink.

I'd like to enter this into:

Next up is a card for our friend's 40th birthday using this fab Riley stamp. Riley is coloured with copics and his t-shirt is paper pieced. The sentiment is a Pink Petticoat one punched out with my Stampin Up window punch. The beer glass is a diecut I bought off Ebay ages ago. The little stars are a Die-namic strip which I cut into individual stars to decorate.

I'd like to enter this into:
Create4fun-sketch
Crafty Catz- special birthdays
Stamp Something- use something digi - my sentiment

Crafty stash used: Stamp (Riley); Sentiment (Pink Petticoat); Copics; Papers (Basic Grey); Stars (Die-namics die); Punch (Stampin Up); Beer die-cut (Ebay)

Lastly up is a non-card item!!! I'm doing really well this year for sticking to my crafting aims- one of which is to make some non-card gifts. I made this magnetic bookmark using the iTop Brad Maker I got in the US last year on hols. I was really chuffed with myself as I made the whole thing from scratch and had to figure out how the whole magnet thing was going to work.
I used scraps of papers which is great for using up your scrappy stash and used my sewing machine to add some texture. So I initially made the brad using the brad maker. Here you see my bookmark "at rest" lol....

Here you can now see it open and see the magnet which grips onto the back of the brad. I used one half of a magnet-daddy to do this.

Here you see the bookmark "at work"!! It grips really well to the page and the brad doesn't make the book bulge too much when the book is shut. I like how the flower looks onto the book page.

I'd like to enter this into:
Cutie Sunday- bookmark

I'm going to make more of these for friend's during the year so I will do a tutorial if anyone's interested to show how easy the iTop is to use.

Crafty stash used: iTop brad maker; brad daddies; magnet daddies; flower; paper scraps; assorted cardstock; sewing machine

And lastly some naughty new crafty stash. Really, all this stress is no good for my purse!!!!! Another one of my new crafty "resolutions" was to try some different things/styles so I decided I wanted to do some vintage cards, especially for Christmas. I looked around for some stamps that were really versatile and coordinated with each other and came up with this lot from Waltzing Mouse Stamps. I'm a bit reticent about using them now as it's so out of my comfort zone!!! Doh!!! Does anyone else have that problem? Watch this space!

Thanks so much for taking the time to drop by today- I know it's been a bit of a loooong post! Hope you have a fun week and get to enjoy some of this lovely sunshine we're having at the moment. xxx

Stamping is my therapy!

Hello everyone! Hope you're all having a fun week. The last week has been fairly quiet again here so I've managed to make a whole host of cards- well 4 to be precise! My Mum is back in Basingstoke Hospital. She went in yesterday to have her stent in her liver replaced and we found out today that they will be taking her drain from her liver out tomorrow!!!!! This is HUGE news! Mum has had this drain in since November and has been painful and awkward for her. It has also prevented her from getting chemo. This is a really big step to hopefully things starting to move forward. One worry though is that last time she had the stent put in she developed pancreatitis so we are desperately hoping this won't happen again - last time it developed overnight so I hope she will be OK tonight.

Anyway, onto this week's cards...

My first card is for one of my blogging buddies and is using the cutest stamps from Elzybells. Don't you just love the sentiment?! I miss Elzybells!! I've coloured her with copics and used watercolour pencils on her hair. The papers are by MME. Do you see how she has the same designer papers as me??!! lol.

I'd like to enter this into:
Crazy 4 Challenges- use flowers
Crafty Catz- for a friend
Stamptacular Sunday- use a frame

A little close up! I love how she looks in a total crafting frenzy!!

Crafty stash used: Stamps (Elzybells); Copics; Watercolour pencils; Papers (MME); Assorted cardstock; Nesties; Flower (Poppicrafts); Button (Bunny Zoe's ?)

Next up is another card for my brother's birthday- from my Mum. I coloured Riley with copics and paper pieced the couch and cushion. Do you like the room I created? I used copics on the carpet and sponged brown ink for the walls. The sentiment is by Papertrey Ink. Papers are by Papermania.

I'd like to enter this into:
Sentimental Sunday- anything goes & sentiment
Alphabet Challenge- quote or saying

Crafty stash used: Stamps (Riley, Papertrey Ink); Copics; Papers (Papermania); Assorted cardstock

Next up is my first Christmas card of the year!!!!!! I've never made Christmas cards before October before but I was determined to start early this year. I'm dead chuffed with myself. So I used, who else, but Stamping Bella's Snowbunnybella which I got for Christmas. I've coloured her with watercolour pencils and paper pieced her coat and boots. I added Stickles to her and Faux Snow on the ground. The snowflake and stripey paper is by 3 Bugs in a Rug, I can't find where the pink is from. Sentiment is Elzybells.

I'd like to enter this into:
DieCutDreams Christmas club- sketch & pink & blue
Papertake Weekly- anything goes & something old/not used before
Cutie Sunday- your favourite stamp (anything by Stamping Bella!!)
Christmas cards all year round- 3 papers & 3 embellies

Crafty stash used: Stamps (Stamping Bella; Elzybells); Watercolour pencils; Papers (3 Bugs in a Rug); Assorted cardstock; Snowflake die (Sizzix); White snowflakes (The Works); Brads (Woodware); Pearls (Wild Orchid Crafts); Buttons (Walmart); Stickles; Faux snow (Art Institute)

Wooo! Four cards this week! I'm on a roll. I made this in a bit of a hurry today. I've made this for the new tenants in my Dad's shop. We finally have some tenants who have refitted my Dad's shop- it's now a wet fish shop!- and have their opening this week. We thought we'd send them a card to say good luck and congratulations. It will be bittersweet really. Obviously for business reasons, it's good to have tenants (!) and it's nice to have a new business in their instead of it lying empty and neglected but it will be a bit emotional seeing someone else in there with a new sign up. I think my Dad would be proud that we've kept the business running so I'm sure he'll be pleased.

So I've used this Forever Friends image I had and coloured with watercolour pencils. The papers are by My Mind's Eye. The sentiment is Papertrey Ink, the scalloped edge by Die-namics and I've rounded off with a corner punch.

I'd like to enter this into:
Mojo Monday- sketch
Pals Paper Arts- use scallops

Crafty stash used: Stamp (Papertrey Ink); Image (Forever Friends); Watercolour pencils; Papers (MME); Assorted cardstock; Corner punch; Nesties; Scalloped die (Die-namics- MFT); Button (Walmart); Stickles

Thanks for dropping by this week. Have fun! xx

It's Riley coloured with copics and then some lyra pencil shading on the background. This card is for my brother's birthday. He's a gardener so I bought this stamp with him in mind. These beautiful papers are by Basic Grey. The sentiment stamp was a freebie with Craft Stamper magazine- I use it so much!

Sweet Stop Sketches- sketch and theme of spring

Crafty stash used: Stamps (Riley, freebie); Copics; Lyra pencils; Papers (Basic Grey); Nesties; Black fine liner; Button (Walmart); String

Next up is a card for our friend's little boy. I coloured this Elzybells image with copics. I can't remember where the background paper is from. I dragged out my Cuttlebug embossing folders which I hardly ever use. The sentiment is Pink Petticoat punched out with my new Stampin Up word window punch.

I'd like to enter this into:
Spoon Full of Sugar- birthday wishes

Crafty stash used: Stamp (Elzybells); Copics; Paper (?); Assorted cardstock; Cuttlebug embossing folders; Sentiment (Pink Petticoat); Punches (Woodware, Stampin Up); Star die (Die-namics)

Last card is for another friend's little boy. I've again used Riley and coloured him with copics. The background I sponged with blue ink to give the effect of sky and clouds. I used individual transfer letters to spell "alex". The papers are Making Memories.

I'd like to enter this into:
Stamp Something- funky and bright

Crafty stash used: Stamps (Riley; Elzybells); Copics; Ink; Papers (Making Memories); Punch (Woodware); Transfers; Star die (Die-namics); Tab die (Die-namics); Buttons

Love is in the air!

Hello all! Hope you're all well and being creative this week. I'm quite pleased with myself as I've been working on some non-card projects which was one of my goals this year. I've made a necklace and earring set and a bookmark which I'll be showing you soon and a Bind-It-All project which I'm hoping to complete in the next week. I've also got some sneaky peeks at my craft room to show you. Also been a bit naughty and bought some new goodies (so soon after Christmas as well!) I've been a bit stressed and I'm afraid that sometimes comes out by buying crafty stash!!!! Ooooooops! Haven't photographed them yet but will show you next post.

First up is a Valentine's card for my wonderful hubbie. I adore this cute bear from Elzybells. I coloured him with watercolour pencils, the heart with lyra pencils and outlined with a grey copic. These papers are by American Crafts. The heart is cut with a new Bigz die I just bought to use for some fabric projects I want to do. Am hoping it doesn't look too girlie, I think the use of brown tones down the girly-ness!

I'd like to enter this into:
Papertake- Anything Goes
Simon Says Stamp- Love is the air
Paperplay- Stamp It Out
Stamping for the Weekend- Valentine's Day

Crafty stash: Stamps (Elzybells); Copics; Lyra pencils; Watercolour pencils; Papers (American Crafts); Assorted cardstock; Nesties; Heart die (Sizzix); Zig zag die (Die-namics); Buttons (Walmart)

My second card is for a friend's birthday. He lives in Canada so I wanted something fairly simple for posting! This Riley stamp is perfect for him as he does love a cup of tea!!! I coloured Riley with copics and paper pieced the polka dot sofa. The paper is by Cloud Nine Designs. The sentiment was a freebie with Craft Stamper magazine.

I'd like to enter this into:
Crafty Pad- something for the boys
ABC- nesties
Charisma Cardz- no embellies
CRAFT- in the roll of a die

Here is a close up of Riley. He looks very comfy doesn't he?

Crafty stash: Stamps (Riley, freebie); Copics; Paper (Cloud Nine Designs); Assorted cardstock; Nesties

Now onto some sneaky peeks at the changes in my craft room. First up shows you new organisation for my embellies....

Second up is...well... see if you can guess.....

Thanks so much for dropping by today. Hope you're all having a fabbie week! xx

Last minute Christmas cards...

Hi! So how's everyone in craft-land? I've made the last of my Christmas cards now (though there a few I've yet to show you) so relief all round. I've got at least one gift I want to make though so will be making a start on that later this week.

My Christmas preparations are coming along OK. My in-laws, sis and partner and bro are all coming and the latter 3 are staying for 1 or 2 nights so I've been planning food and drink!! I now know what we're having, what I'm making and what's ordered so I feel a bit more relaxed. I did a trial run of a Bailey's Cheesecake at the weekend which was gorgeous if I do say so myself. Hubbie took it into work as I didn't think we should try and eat a whole cheesecake ourselves (!) and it went down a treat so I'll be making that. Am also going to try a Nigella Lawson Chocolate Fruit Cake which seems to have a gazillion ingredients and Mum's trifle recipe. Am not making a pudding or mince pies- M&S will see to that!!!!

Mum is feeling a bit better this week but the drain from her liver still has showed no sign of easing up so she has to go and see her surgeon again on Tuesday. He will decide whether she needs to have further surgery. Every day we have to measure what comes out of Mum's drain (yes it is as horrible as it sounds) and I hope that it will be going down but no such luck as yet. If she has to have further surgery, we are worried it will delay her chemo AGAIN!

Anyway, enough ramblings... onto cards!!! yay!

I think this is one of my favourite Christmas cards I've made this year- even though it was my last one and one of the simplest, I just love this unusual paper and, of course, this gorgeous Penny Black stamp. She is coloured with copics and I paper pieced her dress and the Christmas tree with some coordinating paper. I added lots of Stickles to match the background paper and to bling her up!

I'd like to enter this into:
One Stop Craft Challenge- Sassy Christmas
Cupcake Craft- Non traditional Christmas
Lots To Do- Glitz
Allsorts- Last minute Christmas cards

Here's her close up! How gorgeous and stunning does she look? I wish I could do my hair like that!!

Crafty stash used: Stamp (Penny Black); Paper (DCWV); Watercolour pencils; Assorted cardstock; Gold Stickles

Here's my second Penny Black girl. I just adore these stamps! I'm particularly proud of this one as I stamped her dress on Christmas ribbon! Then I used a 3-D foam pad to make the dress pop out like a prom dress. What do you think? She's coloured with watercolour pencils and glammed up with Glamour Dust.

I'd like to enter this into:
Penny Black Saturday- Holly and Ivy
Sweet Stampin- recipe
ABC Christmas- H for Holly
Stamp With Fun- Christmas!

Crafty stash used: Stamp (Penny Black); Watercolour pencils; Papers (Doodlebug, Artic Frog); Assorted cardstock; Glamour Dust; Gold Stickles; Leaf (Prima); Ribbon (The Altered Element); Flowers (?); Gem (Lakeland)

And here's her close up! Do you like her dress and gem as her belt?

One final Riley card... Riley is coloured with copics and the papers I've used are all DCWV I think.
I'd like to enter this for:
Daring Cardmakers- Snow much fun
Pink Elephant- Winter Wonderland

Crafty stash used: Stamp (Riley); Copics; Papers (DCWV); Assorted cardstock; Sentiment (Craftwork Cards); Brad (Lakeland)

And I like the Sketch Saturday sketch so much I used it for this card too!! Do you like how the paper matches his jumper?!

Crafty stash used: Image (Penny Black); Copics; Papers (DCWV, Doodlebug, Artic Frog); Assorted cardstock; Sentiment (Craftwork Cards); Embellie (freebie)

I'm not sure if I'll have time to do a post next week but I just wanted to wish each and every one of you a very Happy Christmas! Thank you all for following me, leaving comments and giving me support throughout the year, I really do appreciate it. Have fun!
