Pink Paris Roses

These flowers are from Rue Cler Fleurs in Paris.

The Rue Cler is an absolutely wonderful neighborhood to peruse......................(more on that in a later post)
The flowers were blooming in the brightest colors and displayed in the prettiest presentation I've ever seen.
I actually got goose pumps!

Here I am on the left with Liz, and we are speaking with a shop staffer.
I haven't yet seen the pink roses that are behind me in this picture.
Here I turn and spot them..................

And now..........MINE!They were also a really good deal compared to what the price would be here in the USA.

How pretty is our shopping bag for the day in Paris.
I knew I wouldn't be able to just toss the pink roses when we departed Paris for home so I hung them up to dry in the window of our apartment.
So pretty there in our window all the time...................Some of the pink starts to change and show tinges of yellow...................View from Rue de la'Universitie, our Paris address.............

When I packed for home, I sprayed the almost dry roses with hair spray and tucked them gently in my carry-on bag.Now I'll have my pink Paris roses for a long long time.

I survived.......PARIS

We all survived Paris and our heads are spinning with wonderful memories! I must admit I'm proud that I planned it myself (except for the surprising side adventures.....) and we made it everywhere on our itinerary except Giverny. Very disappointing for me to not see Monet's gardens but it wasn't meant to be. The extremely confusing train system would not cooperate for us. Even a nice local French gentleman could not figure out why the 'billet' machines would not spit out the right tickets for us.

Oh well............now on to one of the highlights in Paris.......SACRE COEUR. If you ever go to Paris, this basilica is a must see.
The views down on Paris are amazing from the Monmartre hill it sits on.
The activities going on around Sacre Coeur were abundant.
From singing sideshows..................
to a Mime.......................

to a whole square full of artists and their awesome paintings.

Here are the two paintings I bought there...

.....a simple Eiffel Tower

{my silhouette was hand cut}and a gorgeous lavender field.

Stay tuned for more Paris/France postings to come.

Next will be about the lavender and sunflower fields in Provence.

Happiness Is...............

Four more days and I'm off to France with two girlfriends. It is the first trip there for each of us so what an adventure lies ahead!.I started planning and saving money in 2008 and it is finally here!

My stomach is doing somersaults with excitement. We are staying for 12 days in an apartment in the 7th arrondisement just 5 minutes from the Eiffel Tower.

We have day trips planned to Versailles, Giverny, Avignon, and Amsterdam. I'm so excited to see the Provence lavender fields in bloom and be surrounded by the fragrant blooms.

We will also be shopping the Paris flea markets and I am taking an extra suitcase to fill with treasures!I can't wait to share stories with you when I get back.

Bon Voyage!

WOO-HOO

I just have a quick second to share my good news.......................................(drum roll)......................I made my first sale on Etsy!!!!!! I was so excited to see that e-mail come through with the subject; Esty Sale. Ok, I know I am getting way to ebullient about this but that means I am a few dollars closer to 'Destination Paris.' Since I am confidently sure the buyer will show off her beauteous BLOOM~N~Bottle to everyone she knows I must get busy and create some more. In order to do that I need more vintage rhinestone jewelry so last night I went ebay shopping and won the 2 lots I bid on. Here they are.......................................................................

I am very anxious to get these so I can craft away an afternoon as my mind wanders off dreaming of the treasures to be found in Paris at the flea markets there.
