COFFEE Spoon is the exact name and not just Spoon. My apologies for the incorrect name in the earlier post. The ice cream selection here looks good. In the background, you the check-in desks for Finnair flights. The cafe is found near the international terminal deperature hall 2.

As in most airports, there is no problem finding a cab from Helsinki-Vantaa Airport.

New Beginnings

Hi all, I’m back in Vantaa. It was a wonderful 3 month holiday in Singapore. I had wanted to post some pictures of my holiday but that didn’t take off too well. So hopefully I’m back to posting regulary for this new site.

First, a change in the blog title. Why Helsinki-Vantaa? I live in Vantaa and go to school in Helsinki. The cities are very close to each other. For example my school is 30 minutes away and i spend a considerable amount of time in Helsinki: be it shopping, visiting friends or dining out. Helsinki, Vantaa, Espoo, and Kauniainen make up the Helsinki Metropolitan Area. View the map.

The apt start for this new site would have to be the Helsinki-Vantaa airport which is situtated in Vantaa. The airport however is internationally just known as Helsinki (HEL). This was taken yesterday on my arrival here.
