Bonjour, Hello, J'étudie pour ma mairie la façon de mettre à jour la carte OSM de Lannion à partir du fond de carte (tracé, rue) que nous possèdons déjà parfaitement mis à jour. Comment dois je procéder pour ne pas refaire un travail déjà éxistant. I'm investigating, on behalf of my Town Council, how to update the OSM map of Lannion from a base map (layout, street) that we already possess, and which is perfectly up-to-date. How should I proceed to avoid duplicating existing work? |

Bonjour, Hello, currently there are no easy way to do so. I would suggest that you look at http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/BMO for more information on how to do an incremental import. In addition, you may want to evaluate how different the data sets are currently to see how you can maximize the use of OSM and of your dataset. You should contact some members of the French community who have experience over those topics through the French mailing list. Actuellement, il n'y a pas de méthodes qui permettent de faire cela facilement. Je te conseillerais de regarder a ce qui a été fait sur la métropole de Brest http://wiki.openstreetmap.org/wiki/BMO afin de voir les méthodes utilisées pour un import différentiel. De plus, tu devrais regarder les différences entre les deux jeux de données et voir comment les utiliser afin de profiter a fond de OSM et de ton jeu de données. Tu devrais contacter certains membres de la communaute Française qui ont déjà une certaine expérience de ce genre de méthode via la mailing list française. |
Can you tell us in what form your fully updated map is? Paper, bitmaps, PDF, vector or shape files? And where did you derive your own map data from, is it all created by yourself or your town officials? Or did you use (old) data from OpenStreetMap or other sources and you added streets and others?
