SWEET memories

Hello! Today I am sharing a canvas I've made using the Prima Bloom Girl ~ Summer stamp, by Jamie Dougherty.

I've used Prima Color Bloom sprays in Soft Teal and Tea Stain to create some colour. The red is Tim Holtz Distress Stain in Barn Door. These are all water based, so setting them with a matte medium was interesting!

Lots of texture created with a layer of tissue paper ...

... and Tim's Harlequin stencil, with some Prima 3D Gloss Gel.

The sentiment is a rub on.

Finished off my Bloom Girl with Prima flowers and resin butterfly.

monochrome journal

Good morning! This week at Crafts 4 Eternity  we have an anything but a card challenge.

So I made a journal with monochrome colours.

Papers: Basic Grey ~ Little Black Dress

I have given the base layer a bit of a mixed media treatment. So on top of the patterned paper, I have used ink, paint, rub-ons and texture paste to add a little dimension.

Papers have been trimmed with a Martha Stewart ~ Doiley punch and then curled.

I added some embellishments to the centre, including part of a Prima vine and a handmade frame, made using a Martha Stewart mold.

Finally, the journal. Stickers peeking out of a Tim Holtz pull tab.

dearest mother

Good morning! In honour of Mother's Day this Sunday in the UK, we have a theme of SPECIAL MOTHERS at Crafts 4 Eternity this week.

Well this is short and sweet from me today as I have taken the week off to paint the outside of my house, when it is not raining! I am feeling black and blue!

Papers and title: My Mind's Eye ~ Stella & Rose: Hazel.

Flowers & leaves: Prima

Graphic 45: a ladies' diary

Good morning! Today at Everybody Art Challenge, our theme is for a non-cute card.

I have used the Graphic 45 papers and the chipboard tag of the same name, to create this.

The top of the picture forms a scroll.

On the base layer, I have added a little mixed media dimension.

Prima wooden clocks complete.

now we are 7

Good morning to you! It's been a while since I was here. I've started many projects, but not managed to finish any until now. Things have been a bit busy.

Today at Crafts 4 Eternity, we have a sketch for you.

So, what better way than to come back with a Magnolia card.

I wanted to make this A5 size, so I struggled a bit with trying to fit in with the sketch, having just coloured up quite a large Tilda and not thinking about the final design! So, I have used a little artistic licence to squish it all in and hope the challenge police aren't after me.

Papers: My Mind's Eye ~ The Sweetest Thing.
Bling: Webster's Pages
Butterfly: Prima

I've got an extra little strip going down the right hand side, which isn't part of the sketch. This is because I cut the flowery paper down to size, but I had meant to cut a different paper! Rather than throw it away, I decided to cover up the join!

Image: Tilda with Hawaiian Flower, coloured with copics.

And look! The sun is shining! I have shadow on my card. Happy days :)

Thank you for looking.

I can't wait to see how you interpret the sketch.

how do I love thee?

Good morning!

Today I am back for the valentine challenge at Everybody Art Challenge.

I have used another Prima doll! I just can't get enough of them :) Waiting impatiently for the new ones to come out.

I applied paper to a Prima tag and then have added some layers to it.

Papers: Pink Paislee ~ Spring Fling. These are as old as the hills!

Love this gorgeous Prima flower!

baby ... it's cold outside

Good morning! Today at Crafts 4 Eternity, we have a tic tac toe challenge. Just choose any horizontal, vertical or diagonal line from the diagram below.

I have used: blue, paper piecing and stamping.

As you can see, I have used another Prima Doll. Rather belatedly, I think I am hooked! I have also used a tag fromthe Prima Tag Pad and covered it entirely in cardstock again.

Papers: Bo Bunny ~ Snowfall. These are GORGEOUS! I can't quite believe how long it has taken me to use them. The colours are right up my alley!!

The mitten is a Spellbinders die.

The snowflakes were created with a La-La Land ~ Ornate Snowflakes die. These are so beautiful! Very intricate.

she had Spring in her heart

Good morning! Today at Everybody Art Challenge we have a sketch for you to follow.

I decided to dig out my Prima doll stamps, not used before! I'm always the first to buy and the last to use it seems!! Anyway, I so enjoyed making this, that I went and bought some of the other doll stamps that I didn't yet have.

I used one of the tags from the Prima Tag Pad, but really, as I covered it with cardstock, I could have used any old scrap of card!

I then inked some patterns in black ink and inked some green leaves, both using Dylusions stamps. Then I painted on some script using a stamp and white paint. On top of that, I added some texture paste through a Memory Box ~ Texture Flourish stencil.

For the girl, I coloured her face and arms with copics and paper pieced the rest of her.

All papers are Glitz Design ~ Scarlett.

The flowers and butterfly are by Prima

I printed the sentiment from my computer and cut it out.

Thank you for looking.

no. 369 Broadway

Good morning! This week at Everybody Art Challenge, we have a new challenge which is RIBBON.

I decided to make a book card all tied up with ribbon. I've wanting to do one for ages and now that I have, I want to make more! So cute!

I have used Prima ~ Printery papers and die cut the frame with a die.

I painted the cute vintage image with clear crackle paint, but think I might have over done it a little!

Here's the inside.

The left hand side has a pocket with a little tag in it.

And here is the booky bit on the right.

Finally the back.

Thank you for looking.
