Name that Designer

Dearest blog friends, can you help me?
I really like these two images and haven't a clue
as to whom the designers or photographers were?
Please help me identify them so that I may give them proper credit for their amazing work.

If I recall correctly the top image was on the cover of Southern Accents several years ago.
Anyone have a back issue that can look this up?
(Things that Inspire, I'm counting on you for this one--there are intaglios!)

Now, the twin beds with the bookcase--how great is that! I know several of you have featured this on your blogs, but for the life of me, I can't remember who did this work.

(Oh, and for those interested: The brunch was wonderful. We had sausage and egg quiche, cream cheese danish, pineapple, honeydew, strawberries, grapes, shrimp and grits, pumpkin bread, assorted juices including tomato, orange, and pomegranate--and of course hot, hot coffee! I'm so sorry I didn't take one picture. I did good just to have the table set. Wish you could have seen it. I used china from the late 1800's, etched crystal, old sterling flatware and white linen. I broke a coffee cup. Boo. Oh, well. I say USE IT! What good is it sitting in a cabinet or drawer?)

UPDATE:
Thank you, Rindy, for helping me to identify the first photograph.
"The designer is Jackye Lanham. It was the cover of the Jan/Feb 2006 issue. I just happened to have my copy out! Rindy"

Now, what about the twin bedroom shot?

Lovely Luxurious Linens

Who doesn't want to fall into this bed?

I can't begin to tell you how the peace and serenity of it is calling my name!  What a few weeks it has been.

Does your bedding have color or are you a purist?  This duvet reminds me of a cottage garden.

My bedding changes like my china.  I'm seasonal.  Spring in my bedroom is pure ivory.

Thank you, Sferra.  I adore you.

Rest well this wonderful weekend, dear friends.

Honest

What a kind award from Hopsy or Kappa Prep from Manicures and Monograms! She's such a doll and fun blogger.  We seem to share a similar design aesthetic as well as several other things!  If we were in the same town, we would be museum pals for sure!  She has bestowed upon me the Honest Scrap Award: brilliant in content or design. Wow!
(Here's Hopsy.  Is she cute, or what?)

I do hope that all of you have a good time looking at my blog. I think it is so important that we surround ourselves with things of beauty. DON'T GET ME WRONG--I'm not just talking about material possessions--I'm talking about wonderful, loving people too! Life is too short for us not to embrace one another and the lovely all around us! (That beauty includes the smiling faces of little people with mashed bananas and cereal all over the place!)

Now I'm supposed to give you some honest facts about myself.  Well, here goes:

1.  I'm particular about my shoes.

2.  I only drink Coca Cola when I eat pizza.  Other than that, I don't consume soft drinks.

3.  I need at least nine hours of sleep to be a decent member of society.

4.  Today is my birthday.
Antique silver goblets hemstitched monogrammed linens by Leontine Linens and a colorful floral arrangement give the table timeless appeal.
(and this is my fall china pattern-but just a web picture)

5.  I love good conversation: story telling , front porch sitting conversation more than food.

I have a Thing for a Pretty Table

Every year, a local church has a Christmas preparations party showcasing great recipes, floral ideas and my favorite, table settings! Here are a few tablescapes for you to enjoy.

Look, the charger is a serving tray.  Each place setting was different on this table.

I'd love to see your tables this season!

Goodness Gracious!

Gracious Style features some absolutely lovely monogramed dinnerware.   Also the pattern called Si Kiang is simply beautiful.  Who wouldn't just love this monogramed stemware?  Now, their prices aren't TJMaxx or Homegoods, but the sale prices aren't that bad.  We can be inspired though, can't we?

Tags aren't just for packages!

I've been tagged by  The Rauths
I'm supposed to tell you 6 random things about me.

Here are the "rules."

1. Link to the person who tagged you.
2. Post these six rules on your blog.
3. Write 6 random things about yourself.
4. Tag 6 people at the end of your post and link to them.
5. Let each person you have tagged know by leaving a comment on their blog.
6. Let the tagger know when your entry is posted.

Well, let's see:
1.  I can write backwards with my non-dominate hand.  Freaky, I know.  I must be borderline ambidextrous or something.

2.  I canceled my cable.  I am now the biggest fan of APPLE TV.  If you haven't looked into it, DO.  You'll save money, have no commercials, and watch only what you want to watch.  For example, I saw the first episode of the new season of MAD MEN--and now have it on my Apple TV--and can watch Don and Betty Draper again and again!

3.  I have a very old chocolate labrador.  Seeing my dog decline in his old age is much more depressing than I ever thought it would be.   Dogs are such a constant in our lives.  In this case 12 years and counting.

4.  I'm addicted to coffee in the morning and sweet tea in the afternoon.  I just can't get through my day with out them--and believe it or not, the tea is always decaffeinated.  I'm a purist too--no artificial sweeteners will do.  I need sugar!

5.  Unlike Mrs. Rauth, I hate to do the dishes.  I can't stand the thoughts of touching dirty dishes.  I ALWAYS wear gloves when I HAVE to do them.  I sometimes go to the extreme of not cooking, just to avoid the clean up.  Plus, who wants to mess up that beautiful, clean kitchen

6.  I'm a bit obsessive about china (yet, I still don't like to wash it!).  I have numerous sets that I change out seasonally or with the theme of a party, etc.  I've gone a bit over the top and really need to edit.

Now for the six that I am going to tag:
1.  Troy at Good Home, it's like we are old friends--and he's an amazing Southern writer!
2.  Copy Cat Chic, oh, so fun.  I wish I could shop and compare like this one can.
3.  Style Court, love it!  That's all there is to say.
4.  Monograms and Manicures, who doesn't just love this one?
5.  Southern Inspirations, a gal after my own Southern design heart!
6.  The Inspired Room, yes, I am SO inspired.
