Hello everyone! In 2020, when lockdown was just setting in and things seemed quite bleak we asked you to join us to create a community quilt. 🎨 Empowering Art Projects for Kids on Instagram: "Let me just say, this project packs a punch! 💥 The combination of learning about the collaborative efforts of the Gee’s Bend Quilting Bee and then seeing their own art get strengthened in community with others is powerful.  Inspired by the history of Gee’s Bend, Alabama, this paper quilt project combines Social Studies, Art, and SEL!  Kids will practice the principles of design when they make their own uniquely patterned quilt blocks out of paper scraps.
