Some Progress

Things have been going a little slower than I had hoped on the Vogue dress, thanks mostly to kids being on vacation and demanding to be entertained needing things to do. But I have made some progress. Here's the dress so far:
It needs a neckline band (more on that in the review later) and it needs to be hemmed and pressed, so hopefully I'll finish it tomorrow or thereabouts. More later...

Happy sewing!

Mmmm. Very Jackie O. I love it.

UGH neckline bands. I tossed a Vogue pattern back in November because I could not get the band to attach properly. (Not discounting user error, but...)

You must post a pic of yourself in this one. It's shaping up to be a stunner!

Very pretty - I love the neckline. I want to make something with that neckline, but I have been waiting for warmer weather. For some reason, I think of wearing dresses more when it gets warmer. I guess I layer in the winter!

Did Renoir have to deal with kids on vacation? I think not. And yet you manage to create an item of beauty. I'm looking forward to seeing it finished.
