Dani was his. Oh, they might yet belong to someone. To Julian. But she belonged to Finn. Always.

These re-releases have seriously become my crack. And Lexi Blake is my favorite dealer. I can't get enough. I loved finally getting Julian's story, even if I did want to throttle him for most of the book.

Ever since I got a good peek into Julian's kinks, I've been downright salivating for his book. He's such a closed off mystery that I couldn't wait to peel away the layers and find out the true man underneath. He's also so controlled, downright cold, that you can't help but know that this front hides something extremely painful and hot blooded. And I was so happy to realize I was not wrong. Julian is an enigma, but he's not one without a weakness, and he certainly found that when what he planned as his vacation turns into him harboring a runaway bride and the bisexual man that's been in love with her since they were kids. Sounds delicious? That's because it is.

Finn has been in love with his best friend, Danielle, for as long as he can remember. Danielle shares those feelings, but has also been convinced that he's gay since he never disclosed his desire for both sexes to her. When Danielle realizes that the man she's about to marry is not the one she's meant to be with, she makes a run for it. Literally. Right into the arms of the first available stranger and his car.

Being the imposing Dom that he is, it doesn't take Julian long to realize Danielle's true submissive nature. And when Finn comes after her and finally admits his feelings, it also doesn't take him long to figure that two submissives does not a happy couple make. But Julian is also too broken to offer anything permanent. And then there's the added danger of someone clearly being after him.

Siren Enslaved was a deliciously kinky romance full of suspense and sizzling hot MMF loving. I loved Finn's determination and love for Danielle and Danielle's backbone and ability to give as good as she got. She may be timid at times, but she's no pushover. Though I couldn't help but want to slap her sister each time she made an appearance on the pages. Julian's aloofness bothered me, however. While I get his reasoning for being how he is, it didn't make it any less frustrating to experience for the entire duration of the story. I wanted to shake the man and make him finally see reason.

All in all, the ending was satisfying and left me with a craving for the next book. I'm totally addicted to this series and already salivating for Lucas and Lexi's book.

descriptionThis is my favorite book in this the series, and therefore it is also the one I reread most often. I LOVE Julian. So sexy. So hot. Such a lovable pain in the ass (lol). Both Finn and Dani are also strong, likable characters. Although, Finn needed to get his head out of his a$$ way sooner than he did. It was packed full of the type of angst I eat up. There was no OW or OM drama. The sex scenes were SMOKIN' (MMF, M/M, and M/F). And the ending was sweet.

description

That brings me to my feelings about the extra material. Out of all the rereleased books so far this had THE best additional scenes. We get to see Alex (and my heart broke for him), and we get to see quite a lot of Ian (and my heart broke for him as well). The two very heartfelt scenes with both of those guys kicked this book up an extra notch for me. Therefore yours truly is going to give this one two very solid thumbs up.description

2 stars!!

Almost DNF. Fuck. I expected Julian Lodge has interesting story and lovers. But?? My expectation is lower than reality. Simply, I really hated this book. So this is why 2 stars...

description

1. Insta-fucking-lust. It didn't click for me. Even their first meet is pure coincidence, but I didn't like how Julian treated Danielle like a delicious steak after his celibate for months.

2. Their menage didn't work for me. Julian-Danielle-Finn didn't make any sense. I didn't think their bonding time is enough. Too rushed. Finn firmly closed minded with BDSM but he's too busy drooling over Julian's perfect body? Ugh.

3. Finn has been friend-zoned for years because he didn't tell her that he's a Bi? Ughhh...

4. Danielle is very naive. It's hard to believe she always forgivable especially with Julian. And how quickly she's become a pervert woman. I just... couldn't... #facepalm

5. My hate for Julian is the problem. He seemed fine in the previous books; he even jokes around Jack and Sam. But in this story, he's very intense. He use BDSM as an excuse for his feeling. Damn man, you're 40++ years old so act like it! Again, age didn't define your maturity and this case for Julian. His attitude is really childish and frustrated me until the end. He always push Danielle and Finn away but didn't care about their feeling. Me personally, will run at very first. I'm not a patient woman. LOL

Luckily, the story held my interest. Their relationship didn't. It bored me until the end with the hollow sex & BDSM that I didn't find it hot. No chemistry between Julian and Danielle-Finn. Finished with disappointment.

This was book 3 in the Texas Siren series. Julian Lodge is a hot sexy billionaire who is also a dominant. At the beginning of the book he cuts is slave loose to another Dom. When he goes on vacation to a ranch that's owned by one of his friends Jackson Barnes in Willow Fork, Tx. Danielle "Dani" Bay runs out of her wedding to local redneck Jimbo with her best friend Finn Taylor running after her. Dani jumps into a car with a strange and tells him to drive. Turns out she jumps into Julian's audio R8 he takes her to the ranch with him. I didn't like her sister Val she was a spoiled brat who thought of no one but herself and I wanted to slap her. Finn has been in love with Dani for years but he is too afraid to tell her that that he is bi and not just gay. Dani and Finn are both submissive and Julian see it in both of them he is use to having one male slave and female but only with a contract in place he doesn't have sex without it until he meets Dani. I love that Finn was protective of her. When Val conspires with one of Julian's ex Jeremy to get Dani out of the way first he puts a snake in Finns car and he is bitten. He also kidnapps Lexi who is Abbey's daughter and Dani along with Val. I loved that I got a Ian sighting. The sex scenes in this book were hot Dani learned to stand up for herself. Finn learned that it's ok to be a freak and Julian learned it's ok to let people in and love him. I liked that Ms. Blake went into Julian's past and why he is the way he is. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I also liked the narrators of this book as I listened to it on audio. I am looking forward to reading about Lucas and Lexi.

“That contract won’t hold me to you. My love will hold me.”

GOD, I forgot how much of a hold Julian Lodge has on my heart! That man…he is tortured and yet so stubborn. You will want to punch him just as much as you’ll want to hold him tight and never let go. Julian, Finn, and Dani’s complex but beautiful story recaptured my heart and soul all over again! With some new scenes to include appearances by some of your all time favorite Lexi Blake characters, reading SIREN ENSLAVED was like coming home. The connection and the chemistry that these three characters have is unbelievably addicting and oh so romantic. A beautiful blend of eroticism and romance with a dash of suspense, SIREN ENSLAVED brings out all of the FEELS! It’s full of passion, love, and heart. There is no way that once you start, you will be able to put it down. I was in love years ago when I was first introduced to these characters, and if it’s possible, I’m even MORE in love now. This addition to the Texas Sirens series will bring you to your happy place and keep you there until the very last page has turned.

I am definitely learning as I read the books in this series, that I definitely need to be in the mood to read ménage a trois books, let alone a cowboy ménage a trios. However, I really enjoy Lexi (Sophie) and her writing so while at times I wasn't really "feeling" this book, I enjoyed the writing - if that makes any sense.

Siren Enslaved is Julian's book. I was looking forward to learning more about Julian and his mysterious background. While he annoyed me at times in this book, I had a slight of understanding behind his reasons. Finn has been in love with Dani for what seems like forever but has never uttered a word. Danielle reciprocates those feelings but always thought Fin was gay and never acted upon those feelings.

Now Dani is running away from her own wedding with a total stranger and Finn comes running after her. Julian immediately takes to Dani and her submissive tendencies. Add in Finn to this equation and well, this is one hell of a entertaining story - and not just in the bedroom. While I love the suspenseful side of Willow Fork and the characters, I definitely enjoyed Bliss and their quirky characteristics.

Lexi (Sophie) is the master of blending BDSM into a suspenseful story and making it all blend perfectly. If I am not feeling ta strong connection between characters, I am still thoroughly enjoying the suspenseful plot line running along side of it. And that never happens in any other books. And that's just the because of Lexi's writing.

As I said earlier, I have come to learn that I need to be in the mood to thoroughly enjoy a book of this nature but I still liked what I read overall. And it's with that reasoning I gave it the rating that I did because I know if I was in the right head space, I would be drooling all over this book.

I am looking forward to the next book in the series.

After meeting Julian at The Club in the previous book I was really curious to find out more about him. I wasn't convinced I'd be a huge fan of his because he came across as so harsh with his "Slaves" and he was quite cold towards them but I was curious to see who would be able to capture his heart. I really liked both Dani and Finn, they've been best friends since they were at school together and were both always treated as outsiders by the rest of the town. Dani has been in love with Finn for as long as she can remember but since he's gay she knows they'll never have more than friendship. What she doesn't realise is that Finn is actually bi and has been secretly in love with her for their entire relationship, he just doesn't think he could be happy with just one woman and doesn't think it's fair to start something with her when he needs more.

Julian is the catalyst that brings the two of them together, he's more than dominant enough to handle two subs and he knows exactly what they need to make a relationship work. I did like getting to see more of Julian, learning about his past makes it easier to understand why he acts the way he does and we do see him breaking a lot of his own rules when it comes to Dani and Finn so from that you can tell he really does care even if he's not willing to admit it. I did feel like it took him a little too long to properly show his true feelings towards them both though, I wanted him to warm up a little faster than he did but he keeps himself at a distance until very near the end of the book. It was good to see Dani and Finn fighting for what they wanted and I'm glad Julian came through for them in the end.

I still don't like Willow Fork as much as Bliss, in general a lot of the town are incredibly judgemental and they still all look down on Jack, Sam and Abby's relationship so immediately Julian is tainted in their eyes by his association with them. They've also never accepted Finn because he was gay and even Dani, who has never done anything but bend over backwards to look after her ungrateful younger sister since the death of their mother, was looked down on because their mother was unmarried. Bliss has more fun and quirky characters and is more of an anything goes type place so the stories set there feel lighter and more humorous. I'm enjoying the suspense side of the Willow Fork books though and Julian's life is turned upside-down by the reappearance of a not so friendly face from his past.

I have been eating up these rereleases of Lexi Blake's old books and I can't seem to get enough of them. Next up in this series is, Siren Beloved, which stars Lexi (Abby's daughter), Logan (Jack's brother) and Aidan, the ex we haven't met yet but have heard about in previous books. I have very high hopes for their story and can't wait to get hold of a copy!

The book was kind of predictable. I knew how certain situations would go on from the first couple of pages and that drew me away from this book. I hated that I had to wait for almost half the book for the triad to happen. I hope that in the next book things will be smoother, but judging from the history that triad seems to have that is close to impossible and it makes me sad. I have come to the conclusion that maybe Sophie Oak is not for me. I expected something more explosive for Julian's book. I might have liked the book more if Finn and Dani had some sort of relationship before Julian entered the picture. It could have established the characters and their relationships better.

The brightest spot in this book was my favorite man aka Ian. He even mentions his dead wife and my heart broke for him. I should try to find some time to read his book because this story was a nice tease to his. I like how the author connected the worlds she created.

I don't feel like giving 4 stars to the book, but 3 seems too little for it, so I will go with 3.5 rounded to 4.

I thought this was a great addition to the Texas Sirens series. Julian really does play an excellent caveman right up until the very end. I loved it...now, in real life, I would have to kill him--but in fantasy land, it gets me all fired up!

After reading a little about Julian's past, it made me like him even more than I already did. I thought it was a nice change that the Dom was the one with the tortured past as opposed to the heroine being the damsel in distress.

I really love Sophie Oak's writing style. I have yet to be disappointed with her work.

Danny, Julian, and Finn
I quite enjoyed this story the back and forth between the three and how they all had to trust. It was a good story of give and take.
I loved that Julian was so very DOM, he is so set in his ways he doesn’t even notice how different Danny and Finn were to him until it was almost too late.

Finn and Danny together are sweet but you can tell they were missing that one thing to make them whole and that one thing was Julian.

I enjoyed the narration for the most part but when CJ. Does her male twang it just doesn’t work at all. Everything else is ok but when she does that voice it's odd.

Julian Lodge has the world . . . and his submissives . . .at his feet. Yet, something is missing. Since he uncollared his latest submissive, Julian hasn’t been himself. He decides that perhaps a change of scenery will do him some good and heads to his friend’s ranch in Willow Fork, Texas. He’s not sure what he’ll do on a ranch, but he’s willing to see what happens. He never expects to pick up a runaway bride on the way.

Danielle Bay is a people pleaser. She’s done everything she can her entire life to make everyone around her happy. But, she just can’t go through with her wedding to Jimbo Smart. As she runs from the church she knows she has nowhere to go . . . but as fate has it, a convertable is stopped at a red light. Dani is willing to do just about anything to avoid facing her sister nd the town busy bodies, so she hops in begging the man behind the wheel to just drive.

Finn Taylor has been in love with Danielle for years. He hates that she is marrying Jimbo and tries to talk her out of it so he can convince her to move away from Willow Fork and to Dallas with him. There’s one big problem, however, she thinks he is gay. While he is bisexual, Finn’s never told Dani his secret or that he loves her as more than a best friend. Now she’s skipped out on her wedding and run off with a stranger leaving Finn behind and trying to find out just where she’s gone.

Julian knows right away that he’s attracted to Danielle like he’s never been attracted to another female before. But, he doesn’t do permanent. He’s too damaged to commit to anything more than a contract and guards his heart fiercely by pushing people away. He also finds himself attracted to Finn and knows that Finn cannot be all the man that Danielle needs. Finn loves Dani and will give her the world . . . and if that means trying to give her Julian Lodge as well so be it . . . he has no problem being topped by the sexy master. And Danielle, she wants them both!

As this sexy trio begins exploring one another, they are also faced with danger from both Julian’s past and Dani’s present. Can they keep one another safe and give each other time to grow as a triad or will they be torn apart by not only the threats against them but by Julian himself who has locked himself away from ever feeling anything that could break his heart in two?

Ahhhhh, so, Julian Lodge may just be one of the sexiest and commanding men I’ve read to date . . . even when he’s being a total jerk because he can’t open up to himself about his own feelings. He’s truly the glue that binds Dani and Finn together and gives them both what they need in a relationship to keep them happy. I loved watching all three main characters transform and become bolder and more in touch with their own needs while trying to please their partners. Lexi also keeps the plot steam rolling along with enough suspense to have readers on the edge of their seats.

Fans of the series will enjoy catching up with Jack, Sam and Abby as well as getting to know more about Lucas and Lexi. And, fans of the author’s Masters & Mercenaries series will simply adore the newly added glimpses of a young McKay-Taggart crew. 5 stars!

4 Star Review Siren Enslaved (Texas Sirens #3) by Sophie Oak
We were introduced to Julian Lodge in the previous books and I was certainly intrigued with him from the start. This is his, Fin Taylor and Danielle Bay’s story.
What a tangled web we weave when we cannot admit to our friends the truth. Fin has worked himself into a corner by not admitting to the woman he loves that he is in fact bisexual, rather than gay as Dani believes.
Dani has decided to marry a man she really doesn’t want to all because she believes Fin is gay. When she decides to flee the wedding before the ceremony, she jumps into a car being driven by Julian who is on his way to visit Jack, Sam and Abby.
Interestingly enough Julian doesn’t want to commit to a relationship due to his past and yet he finds himself drawn to Fin and Dani. This is a M/M/F story so be prepared.
Although Siren Enslaved is not a particularly long read, I found myself reading well into the night; a story of acceptance, passion, strength and determination. There was romance and suspense woven into the story and the scenes were smoking hot.
I really enjoy Ms.Oak (Lexi Blake’s) style of writing and Siren Enslaved was one of those reads I could not put down.

In high school, Finn came out as gay, facing harassment and prejudice. In college, he realized he was more bisexual, but neglected to share that fact with his best friend Dani. Dani once had a crush on Finn, but is now settling for marrying a man named Jimbo, who she doesn't love. Discovering that her fiance cheated on her, Dani runs away from the wedding and is rescued by passerby Julian Lodge, who is friends with Dani's boss. Julian is an expert dom and recognizes the need for submission in Dani and starts to teach her -- until Finn comes to her "rescue" and Julian realizes that Finn needs a master, too.

There are similarities in the menage relationship in this book and Siren in Waiting (which I read out of order before this one), but while I thought that Bo was a jerk for friend-zoning Bethany for ten years, the relationship between Dani and Finn is much better. He doesn't take her for granted, and he's even willing to put aside his happiness when he thinks she wants to marry Jimbo. They're great together, and Julian completes them. Breaking through Julian's walls was probably the hardest job either Dani or Finn ever accomplished, but to get to the relationship they all need, it was worth it

Very rarely do i find an author that is able to really capture the essence of what an alternate lifestyle is all about. On the ups and downs, and how different individuals will complete you when you least expect it. I'm not saying that i've never found authors who were able to do the same, i have, but Siren Enslaved spoke to me on so many levels.

While part of the Jack-Sam-Abigail story line, we finally get the a look into the elusive billionaire Julian's mind. I have always been curious about him, always wanted to know why he does the things that he does and of course, i wanted to see him break his own rules for something that is bigger than what he's comfortable with. Needless to say that this book was engaging to the point where i didn't want to say goodbye to these characters. I want more of them. I want to be able to see what they'll do in the future. To be able to see their evolution as they discover their limits and even push them to the point of questioning their own sanity as they realize that their hang ups aren't there anymore when it comes to the ones they love.

The fact that Dani, Finn and Julian are so different from one another and at the same time, it kept them grounded and it made them real, even relatable. I loved this book. I absolutely love this series. But most of all, i absolutely love how Lexi Blake (AKA Sophie Oak) managed to make this book absolutely touching to the point where i can't get enough of it.

Why is it I have such a soft spot for a tortured Dominate, alpha male? I love Julian and want him all for myself. Well I might share him with Finn. I really, really like this story. Julian captured my attention in Siren in the City. I am glad that he found so many people that wouldn't give up on him or let him give up on himself. The story made me laugh and cry and curse Dani sister and Jeremy. I really hope that Dani sister gets what she so richly deserves. Ms. Oak did a great job of keep up the suspense again and blending if a love story and the full background on Julian. I have to go read the next book in the series which is Lucas and Lexi's book. I am also hoping for a book for Leo. He also has me intrigued now. I also loved seeing Jack, Abby and Sam again as well as the children that they have had. Again this book is not for those that do not enjoy m/m in a story. There is plenty of this type of encounters in the story.

2014, August 3

The problem with these books is that they are like peanuts or potato chips you just can’t read one, you want to read all of them one after the other. This book has gotten to me more than the others have so far. The scenes with Danielle and Julian being torture crying. I will also warn those that haven’t read this story it is an m/m/f story, there are sex scenes between Julian and Finn. There is some Domination and submission but it is fairly light. There is spanking and toy use as well.

This is the third book in this series and the first that isn’t about Jack, Sam and Abby. This is Julian Lodge’s story. He is restless and miserable even though he wouldn’t admit that to anyone even himself. He goes to Willow Fork to spend a week with the Fleetwood-Barnes family. Jack has been after him for some time to come and see the ranch. While is there he meets his soul mates in Finn Taylor and Danielle Bay. These are both new characters and I like both of them very much. Julian isn't prepared for the upheaval that Dani is going to bring into his life. He is also not prepared for how drawn he is to Finn. Julian fights this attraction for all he is worth. He is so damaged by what losing his parents and the neglect that he endured from his uncle he just can’t see himself as being able to love anyone. The problem of course is that he is afraid to let anyone close. He can’t stand the thought of losing someone that he cares about and he cares about a lot of people. Julian is all alpha male and he shows that side of himself over and over with both Finn and Dani. Julian is the type of tormented hero that I love to read about finding the one person or in this case the two people that can love them.

Dani is a true submissive. She has let people take advantage of her all her life. She is always trying to help those in need even when they reject her. She nursed her Mom when she was dying. She put her future aside and worked to take care of her sister. She put Valerie through college, making sure that she had what she needed. Dani is caring, compassionate and loyal to those friends and family that she has let into her heart. She is also very open minded. She is willing to experiment sexually and with the idea of being the third in the Julian and Finn sandwich. I loved that she was willing to do whatever it took to help Julian when he needed it most.

Finn Taylor is a bisexual switch and he doesn't realize it. He has been confused and ashamed most of his life. I mean he grew up in a small town of closed minded hypocrites. Finn has worked hard to make something of himself and he loves his life in Dallas. His only regret is that he doesn't have Dani with him. I loved that he was willing to stand up to Julian when they first met. I know that it was very hard on him to take on such a forceful personality. Finn proves that he is capable of taking care of Dani and Julian when he has to. I also like Finn quite a bit.

This story like ONE TO KEEP is difficult to read toward the end. There are a few instances of torture that are very hard to get through. The villain we have met both and he has finally lost his mind. I am not surprised he was a little weasel in Siren in the City. We get to see more of Leo Meyer. I will be glad when he gets his own story. He is way too happy interfering in other people’s lives to be left single for very long. This is a great story and for those that love this type of story won’t be disappointed.

I have to start my confessing my love/hate relationship with one tortured and stubborn Dom! Julian Lodge is both exasperating and awe-inspiring. He is such a complex character - one that readers have to work hard to get beneath his layers in order to understand his complicated past and how it has lead to the creation of this controlled, closed-off alpha male. But as much as I wanted to throttle Julian in various parts of Siren Enslaved, I also wanted him to find his happy…to find a way to work through his issues and find someone or in his case, two someones, who could add so much light and love to his life that he would be a fool not to hold on tight and weather the storm of anything this threesome faces.

Finn Taylor and Danielle Bay may be in love with one another but their respective submissive tendencies don’t quite add up to what they both require in a romantic relationship, which makes Julian’s vacation to the Barnes-Fleetwood ranch well-timed, partly because he serves as the runaway driver for Danielle, but also because Julian’s dominant personality makes him quite capable of handling both a male and female submissive, bringing three people together who can explore their kinky sides in a multitude of deliciously decadent ways.

Siren Enslaved showcases what readers have come to love about Lexi Blake’s stories, characters, and writing. There’s suspense, angst, steam, and romance, and while some readers may not be able to accept Julian’s cold demeanor, they won’t be able to deny how much Julian seems to benefit from having both Finn and Danielle in his life and how much the two submissives come to life under Julian’s command.

Oh the shame! I broke down and bought this book right after I read the first two in this series today. It was great! I like Julian. He is a fantasy dom in many ways. He's rich, runs an exclusive discreet BDSM club and he's gorgeous. I know; I know. Many of my fellow readers are tired of these fantasy doms. I have to say I usually am too. But there is just something about Ms. Oak's Julian that I like.

Finn and Dani added to the mix makes a very hot night. Once again, the sex in the book was flaming hot for me. It's more the domination part that gets me off. The punishment of course is always a pleasure. Butt plugs and anal sex is a definite turn on.

What did kind of turn me off was Julian's emotional problems. The way he kept trying to leave his two new subs is not cool. He could have really damaged them. I was a bit mixed at this part of the story because he kept breaking the trust. His two subs are already slight damaged with insecurities about how worthy they are. For him to mess with them due to his own messed up issues bothered me.

Still, I did enjoy this book and I can't wait to read the 4th book with Lexi and Lucas. I know I'll enjoy it. Thank goodness it isn't available at Amazon yet or I'd be reading it right now...

I really liked how this one started. I loved how Dani ran and ended up running into Julian. I did have to suspend my belief soon after. I really had a hard time buying into that Dani, who had no knowledge of the BDSM/D/s lifestyle would allow herself to be spanked by a complete stranger in front of her boss's husband. I knew it allowed the story to go forward, so I just went with it.

I really liked Dani and Finn. I can see why Finn hid so much of himself. I really loved that both of them were able to be found by Julian, but I hated how Julian's issues kept coming up and he kept trying to run away. The bad thing is that every time he did this he ended up hurting both of them.

I was surprised to see an element of Julian's past come into play. I thought that it had been dealt with. It was too bad that Julian was lax in keeping tabs on things.

I found myself laughing at all the advice that Julian kept getting from Jack, Sam, Leo, and even Abby. It was everything that he didn't want to hear.

I liked the ending, like how Dani is finding her place in the world, that Finn has his BFF and a Dom, and that Julian quite running, but the best was Julian's revenge. It couldn't have happened to a nicer person!

This book really grew on me. I started off thinking, this is okay or pretty good. I finished this book thinking, this was awesome. I felt each character effect me in different ways. Julien wasn't necessarily my favorite character in the beginning but as the story developed and I learned more about him I began to change my mind. When things with him and Finn and Dani began to change, he really grew on me.

Finn was one where it was easy to like him. He was supportive and strong and yet vulnerable. You could definitely count on him which is a good trait.

Dani was just awesome. Usually I'm more drawn to the dominant ones, but her whole personality was loveable. She really cares about others and is self-sacrificing without being annoyingly so.

This book is a prime example of why I don't like to stop a book until it's finished and don't really like to give up, especially if it's an author I normally love. Because all it takes sometimes is a line, a word, or a shift in the relationship to change everything and take a book from okay to awesome.

While all three of the novels in this series can be read as stand alone books, they do involve characters that have already appeared in each of the stories. As with the first two novels, the characters have a connection to an exclusive BDSM club in Dallas but the story takes place in a little community in Texas and has a strong element of mystery in it. Someone is bent on murder and that along with other elements in this novel make it a complicated but fascinating look at the formation of what many call an "alternate" family. All three of the main characters are broken in some fashion and are engaged in a search for inner healing. As always, Sophie Oak seems to have her finger on the pulse of her characters and while the text is very erotic, there are so many evidences that she understands the basics of human nature and relationships and brings that understanding into her writing. Just a really good book.

I had some reservations about reading the third book in this series. Julian just seemed like such a control freak and so uptight in the other stories. In this story he is all that and then some and could be such a alphole that at times I wanted to slap him. As I read though, I found out the reason why he is the way he is and just wanted to cry for him. Dani was kinda a doormat but she was also sweet, loving and kind and she was just what Julian needed even though he didn't want to admit it. Finn turned out to be the perfect man bits Julian needed too even though Finn originally only loved Dani.
The three of them had to overcome a lot of baggage and deal with a killer bent on revenge.
I really liked this book and am now looking forward to the next story. Could it be about Lexi, Lucas and ?

Just did a re-read and still love this story.
Did another re-read.

•••••••••

REVIEW: 3.75 stars--SIREN ENSLAVED is the third instalment in Lexi Blake’s contemporary, adult TEXAS SIRENS erotic, BDSM, romance series focusing on the of an upscale Dallas spa and resort known as The Club, which doubles as a BDSM club. This is billionaire businessman and Dominant Julian Lodge, and submissives -attorney Finn Taylor, and medical receptionist Danielle Bay’s story line. SIREN ENSLAVED can be read as a stand alone without any difficulty. Any important information from the previous instalments is revealed where necessary but I recommend reading the series in order for back story and cohesion. The Texas Sirens series is a spin-off from the author’s NIGHTS IN BLISS, COLORADO series.

NOTE: SIREN UNLEASHED is the re-release of the 2011 book authored by Sophie Oak aka Lexi Blake with new content. There is also a slight cross-over with the characters from the author’s Masters and Mercenaries series, and Nights in Bliss, Colorado.

WARNING: SIREN UNLEASHED contains scenes of M/M/F sexual situations that may not be suitable for all readers.

Told from several third person perspectives (Julian, Finn and Danielle) SIREN ENSLAVED follows in the wake of Danielle Bay’s actions as a runaway bride. Jumping into a stranger’s car Danielle will come face to face with her future in the guise of billionaire businessman Julian Lodge. With her best friend by her side, Danielle and Finn would become the submissives to a man who struggles to let go of his heart and fall in love. When Julian’s past demands vengeance for perceived sins and rejection, Danielle will find herself a willing sacrifice to save the man with whom she would fall in love. What ensues is the building relationship and love between Julian, Finn and Danielle, and the potential fall-out as Julian continues to hold everyone at arm’s length including the Finn Taylor and Danielle Bay.

Finn Taylor is a bisexual male who has lusted after his best friend for as long as he can remember but Finn struggles with his attraction to Dani knowing she may never forgive him for his lie of omission. Julian Lodge is a powerful man who has yet to find his own happily ever after. Unable to let go of the memories of the past, fearing rejection, Julian refuses to let any one close to his heart. Danielle Bay has struggled all of her life to look after her younger sister since the death of her parents but marriage to a man she doesn’t love finds our heroine on the run, into the arms of a stranger who turns into something more.

The relationship between Dani and Finn is a friends to lovers; between Dani and Julian, and Finn and Julian is one of insta-lust and submission. Julian is also a bi-sexual male is who willing to enter into a contracted relationship with Dani and Finn but the heart wants something more than rules and regulations, the heart wants passion, love and a happily ever after. From the minute Dani jumps into his car, Julian senses a woman that is willing to submit to everything he demands. The $ex scenes are intimate, erotic and intense; passionate and steamy, without the use of over the top, sexually graphic language and text.

There is a large ensemble cast of secondary and supporting characters including Lucas and Lexi; Sean and Ian Taggart; psychiatrist Leo Meyer; Jack, Sam and Abigail; Dani’s ex-fiance Jimbo; her sister Val; as well as brother and sister Jeremy and Tricia Walker.

SIREN ENSLAVED is a story of betrayal and revenge; love, heart break and obsession; relationship and acceptance. The premise is entertaining and bewitching; the characters are energetic and charismatic; the romance is captivating but fraught with torment and pain.

3.5 stars. This book was a pretty good addition to this sexy, fun series! This is an MMF romance between Julian, Finn and Dani/Danielle. Julian Lodge is a bisexual, BDSM club owner and dom. He has recently let his sub go and feels at loose ends so he goes down to visit some friends (Jack from earlier books in this series) in their small Texas town to regroup. Finn and Dani have been best friends since they were kids. Finn has always been out as gay. Now he is living in the city and Dani is left in their small hometown. She is getting married to a jerky guy from their town. Finn comes down to her wedding. He plans to tell her that he is really bisexual and he doesn't want her to get married, and that he is in love with her and wants to be together. But before he can object at her wedding, Dani turns runaway bride and runs out of the church. She happens upon a man driving a car and jumps in to get away. The car belongs to Julian and he wants to help the upset bride so he takes her with him to his friends' home. They quickly begin a D/s sexual relationship, and when Finn shows up and professes his love to Dani, he joins in the group as a second sub. The group has a good bit of drama, trying to work out how their relationship will be, if it can last, and also trouble with Dani's mean sister and someone from Julian's past with evil intentions, but it all works out in the end.

The story was very good and interesting. The writing was great, as always with Ms. Blake's work.
I did like Julian, Finn and Dani. Julian was very closed off with Finn and Dani throughout the whole book. He had to learn to love and let them in. I had a hard time feeling the love between him and the other characters because he never let his guard down or acted like a normal person. He was in full, strict dom mode all the time. I had a hard time understanding how Dani and Finn could love him when he was so closed off. I believed Dani's love for Julian, even if I didn't understand why, but it took me awhile to feel the love from Julian to either of them or from Finn to Julian. I did feel Finn's love for Dani, and vice versa, but I didn't feel a lot of chemistry between them. They had a very "buddy", BFF vibe. Finn was supposed to top Dani in the relationship, but he seemed too weak to be above her in the relationship chain. There was not enough happy times shown between the three of them. Also, there was so much focus on Julian's character, that I didn't feel like I knew much about Finn's character. I just didn't love the way the characters' relationships developed and didn't feel like they were a cohesive menage trio until the end. I did feel like most of the wrongs in the relationship were righted by the end and I did feel them finally come all together. I just wanted that to come a little sooner for me to enjoy the book more.

Overall, though, I did enjoy this book for the interesting, enjoyable, engrossing story and the very good writing. The characters were complex with lots of depth. I was happy with where Finn, Dani and Julian ended up and felt secure in their HEA. I look forward to more from this fun, sexy series and Ms. Blake!

I forgot how much I both love and hated Julian at times, but I mainly loved him. I love that I am rediscovering books that I read years before and that I am loving them just as much as I did back then and in some cases even more. Siren Enslaved still had me laughing at times, on edge during others and well needing wardrobe chances pretty much the entire book.

Julian, Dani and Finn are characters that I still really love, even years later. Julian and his inner battle when it comes to his slaves, yes I said slaves as he doesn’t just do subs, he has contracts and he doesn’t ever get into an agreement without one, well that is until Dani hops in his car, but will he be able to change his ways? That is why I both hated and loved him; because I wanted him to be happy, truly happy and believe that he could be in a relationship not just an agreement. When Dani and Finn come into his life, they turn his world upside for so many reasons, but are they able to heal what is broken inside of Julian? You will have to read it to find out. Dani and Finn are best friends and there is a huge secret that Finn has kept from her, one that when she learns the truth she is not only hurt but also add to the intensity between the three of them. Let me tell you there are some HOT scenes in Siren Enslaved, you will be squirming in your seat.

I can’t wait to continue rediscovering these books, and if you have never read the series before now is the time to start!

It was very emotional to me. I like a story where there is a journey... and Julian sure had to take a big one. I love how he struggled, denied himself and then finally gave up. That moment was the sweetest of the book!

I loved seeing Julian fall. I never really felt the chemistry between these three but still enjoyed the story because While It has lots of sex it had a little suspense added in.

I was hesitant to get started with this one, not sure about Julian as the hero. But I enjoyed it and was happy with the story. Looking forward to the next one now!

I listened to the audio and enjoyed it. I much prefer Ryan West's performance over CJ Bloom's but she is growing on my a little.

A review done for The Romance Reviews:

Oh wow! Just when I thought she couldn't keep getting better, Sophie Oak has blown me away with the latest installment of the Texas Sirens Series, SIREN ENSLAVED. I laughed, cried, cringed, shouted, and everything else in between as I watched Master Julian's nice and orderly world come down around him--and I loved every minute of it!

I have to admit, I was a bit skeptical when I found out that this book was about Master Julian and two unknown characters. I wasn't quite sure that I would be invested enough in the characters, and boy, was I ever wrong! I should have known better than to doubt Ms. Oak, the new queen of the menage, as she not only made me interested in the characters, she also made me care about what happened to them.

This is the story of Master Julian, aka the owner of The Club, aka Mr. "Every Sub has to know his or her place". This is about four years after SIREN IN THE CITY, the second book in the series, and Julian has given his last sub over to a permanent master. He now has no sub and he's restless. He decides to take a vacation in Willow Fork, the town where Abigail, Jackson and Sam live (the triad from the first two books in the series). While he's there, he decides to go through the applications he's taken for the next two subs he will put under contract (really, applications?!?). On his way, he happens upon an interesting scene of a woman running away from her wedding, and who Julian thinks is her groom since he's in a tuxedo. The bride, Danielle, gets in his car and orders him to drive away, and his life will never be the same.

Danielle is an untrained sub who makes Julian long for things that he knows he can't have, and when her best friend Finn is added to the mix, he gets a taste of what could be. However, Julian is scared of the feelings they all have for each other and tries to push his two subs away. And when Julian's past comes back to haunt them all, he may realize too late that the one thing he's been running away from may just be what he needs the most.

This book was incredible. The characters were very tangible and three-dimensional. Master Julian, who I thought was a bit cold and detached in the last book, had so much depth and longing that he made my heart ache more than once. For all his money and success in business, he only had a few people that he could truly count on. He kept himself firmly guarded due to a very traumatic childhood.

Danielle, on the other hand, had many disappointments in life as well, but she continued to love because that's what made her happy. It made her complement him quite nicely. And Finn, poor guy, finally gets the nerve to tell the woman he loves that he's actually not gay, and he finds out she's getting married. And when she runs away from her wedding, it's not into his arms but the arms of an uber Dom, mega billionaire, sex god! Talk about bad luck!

But watching Finn come to terms with his own sexuality and dark desires was a fascinating process. The plot was very riveting and and very well paced. I just couldn't stop reading. There was a good amount of suspense to the story even though we knew who the bad guy (or guys) were. We also got to revisit some favorite characters from the previous books in the series. Abby, Jack and Sam are very prevalent in the book as well as Abby's older daughter Lexi and Jack's brother Lucas. It was especially nice catching up with all of them, but I'm very intrigued and what's happing with Lucas and Lexi. I'm sure there's more to that story, I just can't wait to read all about it.

Now, I would be remiss if I didn't mention the smokin' hot lovin' that is in this book. Very erotic but also very emotional, I was taken aback by the depth of feeling that this seemingly cold character (Julian) displayed through the act of making love. This is a M/M/F menage so there is M/M interaction as well, but all of it was sizzling, making you sweat and fanning yourself hot. There are some BDSM elements but they were surprisingly mild. And everything just came together to make a phenomenal, highly suspenseful and wonderfully erotic read.

Sophie Oak has made quite the name for herself with her erotic romances that have great plots. She's an automatic buy for me, and I continue to be impressed by the amazing work she's done with this whole series. If you haven't tried them out yet, go ahead a take the change. I promise you, you will NOT be disappointed!

DNF. I don't usually do this and I was actually really upset with myself that I didn't stick with it. But...I just couldn't. I have had this book on my To Read list for a long time, especially since it is so popular and has a ton of great reviews. The series itself even has a good overall rating. I like my menage books with an emphasis on the MM in MMF. So I knew I was going to skip right to the book that had m/m action.

I am very careful about the erotica menage books I buy that have bdsm elements. It is a really fine line to walk for the Dom characters to not become too "Fifty Shades"-esque, which is everything wrong with BDSM erotica. I was fine during the introductory chapters. Julian seemed like a normal Dom who had lost his purpose, Finn had the standard "I'm bi but all the hicks can't tell the difference so they think I'm gay" issue, and Dani...well the only introduction chapter we got with her was after she hopped into Julian's car...which was when the book went downhill for me.

Julian's Dom switch was hit in reaction to Dani's submissive nature and all of a sudden he became a class A dick. News Flash: Dominants are not ass holes! Also News Flash: Submissives are not meek little idiots who can be easily seduced or trampled on. They have personalities and opinions. After she was shushed and shamed like a dog, in front of her boss AND her husbands, after the massive emotional and mental trauma of fleeing her own wedding, she still says ok to sleeping with Julian. I can't. I mean, didn't anyone think it was odd that Julian was laying it on the line in front of her boss and Dani just totally accepted that?

I understand the dynamics of D/s relationships and this was not a D/s relationship. This was a man, taking advantage of a woman in a vulnerable state with her friends standing by and letting it happen because they don't respect her enough to make her own decisions. I stopped reading at that point.

Maybe something happened in the next chapter that would have made me respect the characters more. Maybe I should have stuck with it. If someone can prove to me that these characters are redeemable I will by the book again (returned my ebook, because you can do that on Amazon)and try to power through those humiliating pages to the light at the end of the tunnel.

You want a GOOD Dom/sub menage: Try Ragged Edge by Sara Brookes...or hell ANY Tymber Dalton book that has D/s in it. It pisses me off when D/s relationships are portrayed like this because it is false advertisement. This review has turned into a rant...apologies...but I'm not deleting it.

PS- When you can't stand the book so much to even wait for the sex scenes...you know its bad...

An offshoot of the first two novels in this series, featuring the owner/Dom of the BDSM club in Dallas, TX and the man who was heavily involved in Jack Barnes & Sam Fleetwood's life (heros of the first two books. Julian Lodge is just about the most uptight Dom there is -- he has contracts with ALL his subs and will not go outside very carefully constructed boundaries in dealing with anyone, including Jack and Sam. Now he encounters Danielle who throws him completely for a loop--when he is vacationing at Jack's ranch, and then he meets up with Dani's long-time best friend, Finn. This is not an easy relationship journey nor is it an easy story to read. There's lots of discovery going on with these three people along with a former friend who is seeking to kill Julian and who puts Finn and Dani in mortal danger along with Jack's step-daughter. I like Sophie Oak's writing and have enjoyed her stories. Lots of loving and a remarkable process of change for many people in the group of characters.
