This project was created as a way of stimulating them to take advantage of London's most famous cultural institutions and making them aware of the importance of learning things in Portuguese and through Portuguese. The idea was to select some of the most important London Museums and create a guide with activities in Portuguese for Portuguese-speaking students. The guides aim at enabling them to learn in a different environment, other than the traditional classroom. At the same time, we wanted to get parents involved as recent research indicates that parental involvement in out of school learning significantly contributes to school attainment.
