Python 3.8.x or higher1, preferably the latest stable2 version from the Python website's Downloads page (eg. ) The latest version of Python is 3.11.

A capable Windows, Linux or M1/M2/Intel Mac computer. You can also use a Pi3.

Windows Vista/7/8/8.1/10/11, Linux (Ubuntu, Debian, including Raspberry Pi OS, Arch Linux, Fedora, Gentoo, openSUSE or Mageia) or MacOS <10.9 Mavericks. Just about any OS will work.

A compatible Python IDE (eg. Spyder Anaconda4, Thonny or Python IDLE).
All errors come in x64 (64-bit) and x86 (32-bit) varients, depending on what you set the processor type to.
