Car parts
Studies are in progress to establish new composite materials that associate the granulates obtained from used tyres with thermoplastic matrices, compounds that can be used in the manufacture of spare car parts. The aim is to provide these parts with properties that they do not have naturally and that the use of granulates makes it possible to generate, such as flexibility or noise reduction for example.
The products that will be manufactured on the basis of this research have promising potential in the car industry and major car equipment manufacturers are already interested in this work. It should be noted that in parallel, technical studies have also been carried out on odours, the deformation of the compound and the recyclability of these future spare car parts.
