Dark Souls by From Software is the spiritual successor to Demon's Souls. The game is a dungeon crawler with an emphasis on its high difficulty levels and punishing the careless player. It is well known for its taunting trailers, telling the player to "Prepare to Die". Published by Namco Bandai for PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360, and a year later in 2012 for windows PC.
