Big Cat Anatomy Sculpture

Hi there! I've been working on a Big Cat Anatomy Sculpture for a few months now.  My intention was to create a model for artists and students interested in learning animal anatomy. This is a tool that can help with understanding the complexity of big cats anatomy. Professionally I am an animator and anatomy consultant at Dreamworks Animation. Given my background and experience I felt compelled to sculpt the lioness. The prototype is done and I've started a Kickstarter campaign that will allow me to produce my sculpture. Here is my Croods showreel.

The first scene is the longest scene I've ever done in animation: 34 seconds!

It follows the Tar pit sequence. In that sequence I animated Grug and Jakob Jensen animated Guy.

Everything else is all animated by me.

Lion on the ball

Some of you might recognize this character from my "Animal Blog" sketchbook".

The lion was started in Sculptris and finished it in Zbrush. The ball is all Maya.
