Summer Fun 2

Summer is the time to spend outside the home, in nature. This year one of friends and I decided to take our kiddos somewhere at least once in a week. So, they can enjoy together without any electronics. After visiting Lindsey museum we decided to go somewhere in nature, might be a little hike.  I found out one little hike little outside of the city bustle.

Tassajara creek trail is not for any serious hiker. There is not much hight to climb, no long distance to walk, basically nothing is there to attract any serious hiker. It is a very short trail, which cannot satisfy them. May be for that reason when we reached there, the parking area was empty. The park is in on Tassajara Road on Dublin.

The trail is little far from locality, so the cars on road were very few. I took my son and his friend there on an afternoon.

This is a good outdoor place for the children. My son, and his friend really enjoy that afternoon on that little trail. From the parking area, we entered the narrow trails with trees. The most interesting for the children was a little wooden bridge over the creek. They enjoyed the little flora and fauna there. We saw bright dark blue color dragon fly there. I’ve done many hiking till date, but I’e never seen such beautiful bright little dragon fly.

At the end the children were little disappointed as the trail came to an abrupt end.  They wanted to sit somewhere to have the lunch, but we didn’t get any place. While coming back we got a chance to see the family of wild turkey with little ones. That was a cute site. As they were little disappointed, we took them to nearby park.

It's nice to get the children out in nature and leave the electronics behind. I know some who won't take their children on a vacation with out them, and that is all the children do is play games on them.
Looks like a pretty area to see and the children enjoyed it and had their lunch at a park, sounds like a healthy full day for all of you.
The dragonflies here were more than plentiful this year and they seem to be very friendly about getting close and not afraid of humans. I would water the flowers and they would flitter about the spray coming from it. I love seeing the dragonflies.
Happy week ahead

Dearest Krishna,
Kudos for taking your son and his friend out in nature to lean about things peaceful and natural.
Guess nowadays it gets all kind of dictated that everyone must hike and so on.
No, it is already sufficient to go out on a little trail, just away from the hustle and bustle.
Funny that you mention Dublin, as we too live in Dublin but there are 32 Dublins in the USA...
Stay well and enjoy your quality family time like this.
Hugs,
Mariette

Outdoor activities can be so fun! I would love outdoor activities more if it wasn't so hot and humid here during the Summer lol!
