• Les stewards peuvent maintenant faire en sorte que les blocages de comptes globaux causent un blocage automatique global. Cela va aider les stewards à prévenir des abus d'utilisateurs qui ont été bloqués globalement. Cela inclut d'empêcher les comptes temporaires bloqués globalement de quitter leur session ou de changer de navigateur pour effectuer des modifications ultérieures pendant 24 heures. Tool of the week

• Wikidata One Click Info is a multilingual extension that enables you to search for any item or word that you come across while reading or browsing online. It's an extension that makes Wikidata's data easy to retrieve and access. Install on Chrome browser or Firefox browser. A short video about the usage of the extension.
• CAT🐈: most frequent properties a simple Observable tool which shows the most frequent properties for a set of Items.
• Are you able to learn languages with Wikidata content? In Ordia there is the "Guess Image from Pronunciation" game you can use to learn a few words from various languages.

Other Noteworthy Stuff

• A small project on benchmarking query engine performance on useful Wikidata queries is asking for queries from the Wikidata user community to potentially be part of the benchmark. If you are a user of any Wikidata SPARQL service please send queries that you find useful to Peter F. Patel-Schneider. Say what you used the query for and whether you would like to be noted as the source of the query. Queries that take considerable time or time out are especially welcome, particularly if the query caused you to switch from the official Wikidata Query Service to some other service. • Mobile statement editing: We are making progress on the technical investigation for how to make it easier to edit statements on mobile. A lot more work to be done after that though.

• Codex: We are continuing with the migration of the Query Builder to Codex, the new design system. The migration of Special:NewLexeme is almost finished.
• Query Service: We have updated the list of languages for the language selector in the UI (phab:T358572)
• Vector 2022: We are continuing to adress issues of the Item UI in dark mode (phab:T369385)
• Wikibase REST API:
  • We are moving from v0 to v1.
  • We have finished the work on the new endpoint for creating Properties.
• Action API: We’re improving the way the wbformatvalue API handles invalid options (phab:T323778)

• Plus tard en novembre, l'extension Chart sera déployée sur les wikis de test afin d'aider à identifier et corriger le moindre problème. Une révision de sécurité est en cours pour ensuite activer le déploiement sur des wiki pilotes pour des tests plus larges. • Les wiki peuvent utiliser l'extension Guided Tour pour aider les nouveaux arrivants à comprendre comment modifier. L'extension Guided Tour est maintenant compatible avec le mode sombre. Les mainteneurs de Guided Tour peuvent vérifier leurs tours pour s'assurer que rien ne semble étrange. Ils peuvent aussi mettre emitTransitionOnStep à true pour corriger un ancien bug. La Wikimedia Foundation mène une enquête auprès des wikipédiens afin de mieux comprendre ce qui incite les administrateurs à contribuer à Wikipédia, et ce qui affecte la rétention des administrateurs. Nous utiliserons ces recherches pour améliorer l'expérience des wikipédiens et répondre aux problèmes et besoins les plus courants. Nous vous avons identifié comme un bon candidat pour cette recherche et nous vous serions très reconnaissants de participer à cette enquête anonyme.

Vous n’avez pas besoin d’être administrateur pour participer.
