In the vibrant community of Oak Park, where principles of equity, inclusivity, and sustainability flourish, a remarkable transformation has occurred with the unveiling of the new Oak Park Community Recreation Center. This architectural marvel is a testament to innovation and community engagement, representing a monumental step towards enriching the historic city outside Chicago.

Perkins+Will, Gensler, and CannonDesign top BD+C’s ranking of the nation’s largest university sector architecture and AE firms, as reported in the 2017 Giants 300 Report.

Located in Northglenn, Colorado, Northglenn Recreation Center offers the community a performing arts theater, swimming pools, senior center, and more for them to use. Max Compact Exterior HPL panels from Fundermax were combined with other woodgrain and plain color panels, giving the facade this sense of modernity through the natural material decor AF Patina. When Encode commissioned the creation of a new headquarters in Cordóba, they gave architecture group Avendaño-Boffi-Ferreyra two challenges. The first was to retain the artistic cache of the building, formerly the Cocine des Culturas cultural center, while building in flexible work and recreation spaces for its 150 or so employees. The second was to do it, from planning to finishing, in six months.
