These wooden tile mosaic murals are all 60-100 square feet and permanently mounted in schools where they were created. For each of them I created a "big picture" concept beforehand. I spent 1-2 weeks at the school teaching classes on portraiture, landscape painting, color mixing and composition to students. The resulting works the students created then became the pixels for my preconceived "big picture."

So this story of Winter Mural Collaborativity begins with a simple request from my amazing music teacherin' friend: to create a piece for the winter program. Today I wrapped up week #3 of school! Man oh man - do I miss the summer! Waking up at 5:15am every morning just isn't really my cup of tea..
