According to the World Health Organization, 29% of people die in cars, which constitutes almost a third of the total number of people killed in road traffic. The representation of young drivers under the age of 24 is much higher compared to other age groups in accident and fatality statistics. According to the European Commission, the risk factor of young drivers is two to three times higher than the risk factor of drivers with more traffic experience. Young drivers at their age are in good health, like social life, tend to test their own limits, consume more opiates than other age groups, break the rules, and engage in volatile and risky behavior. The aforementioned factors and risk factors are transferred by young people in cars, either as drivers or passengers, which, together with inexperience in a dynamic traffic environment, makes young drivers the riskiest group of drivers. Accordingly, in this work, a survey was conducted with the purpose of gaining insight into the attitudes and traffic behavior of young drivers in the Šibenik-Knin County.

It has a very important traffic position, where the state roads DC8 (Adriatic tourist road) and DC33 towards the cities Drniš and Knin are of great importance for the traffic connection with the Šibenik-Knin county and the rest of the Republic of Croatia. The development of tourism, economy, culture, and traffic in the last ten years has led to difficulties in the functioning of road traffic and the creation of large traffic jams at the main road entrances to the city, especially during the tourist season. Due to the increased traffic demand and the number of tourist arrivals, the city of Šibenik began to invest significantly in the reconstruction and construction of the traffic infrastructure. Realized projects at the entrances to the city are the Rokići junction and Meterize intersections, while the reconstruction projects of the Njivice and Mandalina intersections are planned in the near future. By investing in road traffic infrastructure, the city of Šibenik improves the quality of life in its area for the resident population and all visitors.

One of the health system's goals is optimisation without reducing the quality of service for the patient. Supply chain and logistics, a scientific and economic activity that optimises supply, storage, inventory management, transportation, demand forecasting, and distribution, have played a significant role in optimising the health system in the last few years. Motivated by the recent pandemic of COVID 19 and resulting supply, storage and inventory problems, a review of selected scientific literature available on scientific databases ScienceDirect of Elsevier and Web of Science of Clarivate Analytics was conducted. Scientific literature dealing with medical waste and connected logistic activities were included in the review. A growing trend of research in this field has been perceived in the last three years, thus proving that the real healthcare sector is becoming aware of logistics problems and their importance.

The main motive to travel for cyclists is active or passive participation in cycling, and additional motives that affect demand are participation in competitive cycling and observation of cycling events. Bicycle tours are becoming increasingly popular in European countries and the economic contribution of cycling tourists has ensured that cycling tourism has a significant place in tourism revenue. Tourists on bicycles can be an ideal tourist market for rural and peripheral areas that often lack a large offer of tourist infrastructure. Cycling tourism offers special opportunities for rural areas where this form of tourism can create and/or retain jobs and enrich the tourist offer. Attractive and diverse natural environment, rich cultural and historical heritage, favorable climate, proximity to large markets, good transport links, poorly used macadam roads, and forest roads unburdened by hiking and mountaineering demand, provide the Republic of Croatia and the Šibenik-Knin County with many advantages for the development of this form of tourism.

Cycling tourism is becoming increasingly popular and it contributes a significant portion to tourism revenues. Cycle tourists are ideal for the development of rural and outlying areas. Croatia has numerous advantages for the development of this type of tourism, such as cultural and historical heritage, climate, environment etc. Research has shown that cycling tourism is only meagrely developed in Croatia. Analysis of four counties in Croatia has shown that the weighted average number of accommodation establishments per route/path is 0.90 i.e. that, on average, there is less than one establishment per route/path. It has also shown that the weighted average number of accommodation establishments per 100 kilometres of cycle path is 2.80, which means that, on average, there is one accommodation establishment per 35.71 kilometres and that the weighted average route length for all of the observed counties together is 32.26 kilometres.

Due to the lack of free parking spaces in the city center or near the center, many drivers park their cars in the surrounding residential areas of the city, causing discontent among the domicile population and an additional congestion on the streets. City districts are often characterized by illegal parking in the form of occupying driving part of the streets, occupying and turning open public areas into parking spaces. The district Baldekin III in the city of Šibenik is one of the most populous city districts in Šibenik where, in addition to a large number of cars of the domicile population, non-domicile residents park their cars and go to the city center for private and business activities. The predominant mode of parking is the off-street mode of parking in car parks next to residential buildings, and the street mode of parking where owners leave their vehicles along the edge of city streets thus turning originally designed two-way streets into one-way streets. The goal of this paper is to propose a solution to mitigate and solve the problem of parking in the city district Baldekin III by introducing parking fees on street areas, converting some streets into one-way streets, building garages, using smart parking solutions, in order to increase parking capacity, introduce roundabouts and more fluid traffic regulation, relieve the streets, and meet the needs of the domicile population of the city district for free parking spaces. The purpose of this paper is to present the issue of parking in the city district, which in addition to parked domicile cars is congested with parked cars of non-domicile population, and solutions that could alleviate these problems in order to primarily satisfy domicile population.

Different measures and initiatives, aimed at the optimisation of city logistics and reduction of the negative effects of urban freight transport are access zones or goods (freight) receiving points in the city centre, restrictions of vehicle dimensions, time schedule of delivery, consolidation strategies, use of urban distribution or consolidation centres, use of electric cars, use of urban public transport and mobility management. In the last couple of years, the city of Šibenik has experienced a tourism boom, which includes the organisation of numerous festivals in the old town core, an increase in the number of visitors, an increase in the number of catering and shopping facilities, private accommodation units, hotels and hostels. The increased number of tourists and commercial establishments also broaches the question of delivery of food and non-food products into the old part of the city, especially during the tourist season.

Increased number of tourists and tourist movements also opens up the problems of access to the city core and the inability to park the vehicle during the tourist season. These problems affect the quality of life of the inhabitants of the city core and reduce the pleasure of the tourists. By applying digital technologies and smart systems, an optimal solution that will reduce the negative impact of an increased number of tourists can be achieved. Proposal for such a solution for the City of Sibenik is a system that would control traffic infrastructure in real-time. The system would seek the current optimal solution and redirect traffic to a less crowded traffic zone and parking space, based on the vehicle category and the collected data obtained through communication between major traffic points in the city.

Due to significant interweaving in the Republic of Croatia, as well as many other countries, tourism and traffic have been determined as one of the carriers of the country's economic development. Air traffic is a branch of transport of extreme importance for tourism-oriented countries and the development of international tourism because it has enabled faster and shorter travel to the most distant world destinations. According to the motivation of travel in the structure of passengers airflow in the Republic of Croatia is dominated by tourists with a significant increase in the number of arrivals from year to year, which is the reason why the Republic of Croatia represents an important tourist destination in Europe. Tourism of the Republic of Croatia is coastal tourism of seasonal character with marked seasonal arrival of passengers, which presents a challenge for companies operating in the tourism and in the sector.

The most common reasons for the emergence of traffic accidents are the use of cell phones while driving, disregard for traffic regulations and rules, driving under the influence of alcohol and unsuitable driving speed. The socio-demographic profile of the participants has been analyzed by the common set of characteristics, such as age, sex, and nationality, with respect to the feature and the seriousness of the injury to the participants and to the place of occurring. In this study, we analyzed the data about the injured in traffic accidents and we displayed an index on a continuous year basis and their respective rates of change at the territory of the Republic of Croatia for the period from 2011 up to 2016. The number of traffic accidents over the past few years has been in decline (except in the year 2015) due to high-quality prevention and warning systems on the reasons of occurrence and possible consequences of accidents. The goal is that by 2020 the number of deceased persons will have been reduced by 50% in relation to the current situation.

The question that arises is what impact the aforementioned construction will have on regional development. This paper gives an overview of the importance of building a Šibenik-Drniš-Knin expressway on regional development. In Croatia, 1,240.7 km of highways has been built and opened to traffic, and 6,571.60 km of national roads. On highways, there are tunnels in the length of 44,012 m, while on other roads the length of tunnels is 7,872 m. The investment in building new transport infrastructure is one of the prerequisites for the development of regions that are under special state care, such as the towns of Knin and Drniš in Šibenik-Knin County. One of the basic conditions for economic development today is the quality of the total transport system - particularly road transport, which now runs most of the traffic of goods and people. While with the construction of Zagreb-Split highway Sibenik-Knin County is better connected with the northwestern Croatia, and further with the EU, at the same time the poor lateral road links of the Šibenik as the county center with the towns of Drniš and Knin, and the area of western Bosnia which has this as its closest exit to the Adriatic sea is disconcerting. For Šibenik-Knin County this is the primary road artery linking nearly 80% of the population of the county. Availability of infrastructure is a fundamental precondition for growth and employment, as it affects the quality and diversity of business opportunities, but also the overall attractiveness of the country for business and investment. The expressway would, in any case, have the greatest impact on economic development and demographic reconstruction of Knin, Drniš and surrounding areas under special state care, which would be reflected in the development of the economy throughout the Šibenik-Knin County.

With the emphasised and increased awareness we aspire to have sustainable development of cities which promotes common means of transport and public city services. Zadar is one of the numerous cities faced with such obstacles. The city of Zadar, situated on the east coastal area of the Adriatic Sea, is a tourist city that has significantly higher load on public regular services and the city traffic network, especially during summer and the problem of critical locations in traffic infrastructure becomes even more evident. Inadequately equipped and located stops, as much as the character of one part of existing regular services, reduces the number of users and attractiveness of public passenger transport. A noticeable increase in the number of users could be achieved by application of adequate measures and procedures towards modernization of public transport infrastructure and usage of ICT technologies within the system itself. Public city transport could be of greater quality and available to everybody under the same conditions and it could be a match to individual transport.
