Throughout Indonesia, at all levels of higher education and schools, an increased rate of boredom, dropout risk, decreased involvement and low academic achievement is directly related to low school engagement. The Education of Islamic School (Pesantren) is known as one of the highest risks of disengages. The 2015 PISA study results for engagement and motivation in learning ranked Indonesia in the 62nd position out of a possible 70. Thus, Indonesia is perceived as having a low level of learning engagement. This study examines the effect of self-efficacy, self-concept, and social support regarding school engagement. The study sample included 213 Senior High School students from the Assa'adah Islamic Boarding School (Pesantren). The sample was taken using a simple random sampling technique. Multiple regression analysis was used to analyze the data. Study results show that there is a significantly positive effect when self-efficacy, self-concept, and social support are able to influence school engagement. The significant variance in the proportion of school engagement was 97.9% for all independent variables and the rest was explained by the residual. The Results for minor hypotheses shows that eight variables significantly affected school engagement namely initiative, persistence, effort, self-evaluation, attachment, guidance, a reassurance of worth and social integration. Other variables had no significant effect on school engagement.

Distance learning for early childhood education level causes various issues, one of the issues is behavioural and emotional problems. This problem has become a notion that is nearly never researched. The aim of this research is to analyses children’s behavioural and emotional problems by using Paediatric Symptom Checklist-17 (PSC 17) questionnaire for young children. This research is quantitative research by using questionnaire for collecting data. The questionnaire of PSC 17 also uses to screen Kindergarten school children at risk of behavioural and emotional as early detection to develop strategies to meet their mental health needs. The PSC will be completed by the parents of 71 Kindergarten school children. The PSC also will be spread to the targeted participant by public health care staff. This study aims to test the reliability and validity of the Academic Resilience Inventory (ARI), which was developed by Samuel (2004) for the Indonesian context. The inventory adaptation procedure that the researchers did in this research refers to the journal Guidelines for the Process of Cross-Cultural Adaptation of Self-Report Measures (Beaton, 2000).  The total amount of sample used in this study was 200 students of Public Vocational School 1 Pandeglang, taken by using accidental sampling. To test the validity of the measurement inventory, the researcher used Confirmatory Factor Analysis (CFA) with Lisrel software. The result revealed that, in general, the Academic Resilience Inventory (ARI) by Samuel (2004) is significantly unidimensional, meaning it only measures the construct of the academic resilience inventory. Students' inactivity in learning and teacher inaccuracies in using the model led to low science learning outcomes in elementary school. This investigation aims to analyze students' science learning outcomes through the SAVI model. Class Action Research from Kemmis and Mc. Taggart was used as a research method. Valid science learning test instruments and observation sheets of learning implementation are used as research instruments. The results of the investigation showed an increase in the results of science learning in grade 4 students in elementary school, this can be seen in the percentage of changes in the completion of their learning outcomes. This study provides recommendations for teachers to apply the SAVI model in the classroom learning so that students' science learning outcomes improve.

The purpose of the research is to investigate the effectiveness of using descriptive video in learning listening, specifically it is written on the title of this research, that is "The Effect of Using Descriptive Video in Learning Listening, Quasi-Experiment Research at First Year of SMK Islamiyah Ciputat." This research is aimed to determine the effectiveness of using descriptive video in learning listening and without using it, also to find out the student's ability in learning listening at first year of SMK Islamiyah Ciputat. The method used in this research is the method of quasiexperiment with pretest posttest control group design. Instrument used is form of objective tests as multiple choices, and fill in the blanks. The research was conducted at first year of SMK Islamiyah Ciputat on Augustus 1 st until September 1 st 2014 of the school year 2014/2015. The sample used was a student class X Accountancy 1 and X Accountancy 2 with the number of 35 students in each class, the experimental class of class X Accountancy 1 is taught by using descriptive video, whereas in controlled class X Accountancy 2 is taught by using Tape recorder.After giving the treatment on experimental class and without it on controlled class, the data collected and analyzed by using t-test. According to the result of statistical calculation, it is obtained the value of t o (t-observation) is 5.758 and the value of "t t "(t-table) from the df(68)on degree of significant of 5% = 1.7 and 1% = 2.4, as known "t o" is higher than "t" table as 1.7< 5.758 > 2.4.It means that the null hypothesis (H o) which says there is significant effect of using descriptive video in learning listening is rejected and the alternative Hypothesis (Ha) which says that there is significant effect of using descriptive video in learning listening is accepted. Based on the finding this study it can be concluded that learning listening by using descriptive video has significant effect on student listening ability, that showed by t-score above.
