Artist Lilla Tabasso (previously) traps bouquets and tufts of grass at their most precarious stages of life. A painterly study of faded white tulips in black and white. Much as I love fresh flowers, there is something beautiful about dead or wilting flowers too. Maybe a little wistful but somehow poetic! They were a popular subject in the 17th century Dutch Vanitas still-life school of painting which explored these themes.
