Quick and fun way to get vocabulary in! I put the mystery word in the blue envelope with just the first letter showing. Each day I add a new clue, a synonym, an antonym, examples or using it in a sentence and the definition. Each day the kids can guess what the word is! This board helps my students remember some of the word parts we have highlighted throughout the year. Greek and Latin word parts are the toughest (we put those in the root section), but once they master them, they can continuously add examples (leaves) throughout the year seeing their vocabulary and the tree get thicker and thicker!
