The V-35 landspeeder is an inexpensive, older-model ground transport, commonly found on Outer Rim worlds like Lothal. It features a one-driver, open-air port, and is easily recognized by its pointed nose and raised repulsorlift thrusters.

Lothal was a planet located in the Outer Rim Territories. The planet was home to Capital City, which eventually became a battleground between the Galactic Empire and a small band of rebels. The planet's economy was largely based around its vast assortment of minerals, which came from its unique rock formations. Lothal: A diverse planet, with both farmland and a city center. During the age of the Empire, it fell under Imperial occupation, as farmers were kicked off their land and enormous TIE fighter and weapons factories were built. While most of the population felt powerless in the face of Imperial rule, a select few dared to fight back.

An ancient building hidden within the planet surface, the Lothal Jedi Temple was discovered by Padawan Ezra Bridger through a connection with the Force. Inside the Temple, he and his Master, Kanan Jarrus, gained new insights into themselves -- thanks to guidance from Yoda, communing from a distant world. There, Yoda gave Ezra a kyber crystal, allowing the boy to construct his first lightsaber.
