I'm bringing you a CAS (clean & simple) card for Create It Wednesday with Precious Remembrance Shop using the new {Oh Christmas} Stamp Set. My card is really highlighting the heartwarming sentiment that comes with this stamp set. It has every design element you could possibly love---a heart, an arrow, script/cursive, varying font size, and presence!
I'm sharing how to create this look and a crafty tip for lining up your negative die cuts over at the Precious Remembrance Shop blog!
I'm also joining the TIME OUT challenge: #66 (inspired by the window)
Thanks for popping in today!

Cute by Kitty Bee Designs with CASology
Happy Tuesday from the CASology crew! We're welcoming a new sponsor this week
and our cue card works so well with her digi stamps.
This super cute little raccoon digi stamp was offered to us for this challenge. Using Photoshop, I adjusted his outline color from black to brown (I was going for a fall color scheme). I printed him on smooth white cardstock and colored him in using Prismacolor pencils.
A little fussy cutting, a sentiment, some embossed and sponged leaves for the background and he's all love :)
You've got to swing by the DT blogs and check out how they "cute-ified" their cards this week!

FRAME-ing Up for a Good Week at CASology
CASology is back this week with a challenge cue card that is sure to bring
you lots of ideas and plenty of ways to craft them!
I thought of picture frames, my frame dies, getting framed (setup lol), a frame of a movie...then I remembered my Simon Says Stamp Old School Sunglasses dies! I die cut them and coated them with a few layers of Ranger Ink Verdigris embossing powder. I love the marbled/speckled look of this EP.
I foiled the center of the sunglasses to make them shiny and reflective and inlaid them back into the sunglasses. I wanted a cool and funky "landing pad" for my image and sentiment, so I splashed some Heidi Swapp Reactive Mist on the card and foiled it too...oooh la la!
I stamped the sentiment from Honey Bee Stamps twice in Jet Black Archival Ink since I was trying to stamp onto foil. Thank goodness I used my MISTI because I had to stamp it twice to get a good, dark, crisp impression :)
You've got to swing by the DT blogs and check out how they framed up the cue card!

Let's Bring in Fall with CASology
It was the first day of actual cooler breezy weather here in VA and I'm eagerly waiting for the real appearance of fall. CASology has just the challenge for you this week to welcome in the change of seasons. Our cue card is: BARK.
Yes, you can totally interpret this cue card different ways, but this leaf die cut from the Tattered Leaves die by Stampers Anonymous and Tim Holtz was calling my name. I use my Zig Clean Color brush pens to watercolor these vibrant oranges and reds...wowsers! I dry embossed the tree bark texture into a cream piece of paper and tore it along all four edges, punching up the texture by rubbing some Vintage Photo Distress Ink over the raised areas and edges. Remember that Hero Arts copper embossing powder? Where I thought it would be the perfect color to coat (three times actually) my "thanks" die cut, also by Hero Arts. A few sequins and hello fall!
The rest of the DT has some great cards and lots of interpretations for you this week! Be sure to pop in below and show some love!

Altenew Presents the Ultimate Challenge Blog Hop!
What a day to start a super duper blog hop!! Altenew is presenting The Ultimate Challenge Blog Hop and has partnered with 18 challenge blogs to showcase the awesome sites where you can play along each week, biweekly, monthly, the works! Of course CASology is taking part :)
I sponged some Twisted Citron and Cracked Pistachio Distress ink into the corners of my card and did a little "spritz and flick". The beautiful floral images are from the Botanical Gardens stamp set by Altenew and my sentiment is from their Henna Elements stamp set. I added pops of color using my Prismacolor pencils in similar shades of green and teal. I added a few clear sequins by Simon Says Stamp for a little sparkle.
To celebrate this blog hop, Altenew is giving away FIVE $35 gift certificates. Five lucky winners will be chosen at random from the comments left on any of the blogs listed below and will be announced on the Altenew blog on October 17th, 2016.

OH CHRISTMAS! Precious Remembrance Shop Holiday Release
The absolute best season for DIYers is right around the corner--the holiday season!
Today, Precious Remembrance Shop is bringing you an awesome blog hop
for the new release of the bold, fun, fabulously graphic {Oh Christmas} Stamp Set!
I immediately wanted to pair up the three stars with the "merry & bright" sentiment in the set. I heat embossed the sentiment, which is actually an outline only, then colored it in with a white paint pen. Then it was on to some offset stamping of the stars--white ink first, then a rainbow of colors layered over top. This lets the color really pop on kraft cardstock! I watercolored a strip of paper (don't you just love finding a great use for your scraps) in the same colors as the stars and adhered it to each side of the main panel.
I wanted everything to be "bright", so I coated everything with a thin layer of Diamond Stickles!! Love love love the effect :)
We have a "merry" gang of crafters lined up to give you some holiday inspiration and showcase this new stamp set! If you didn't arrive here from Sue's blog, you can start at the PRS blog and hop your way through :)

Sun and Sand One Last Time at CASology
As we wrap up the summer fun, CASology wants to invite you to wiggle your toes in the sand and show us your salt life cards one last time for the year. This week's cue card: BEACH.
I used some watercolors and ink smooshing to create this card (only like my favorite techniques lol). I loved how the brown fading into the blue gives the look of sand leading to the water. The inlaid die cut sun is from Lil' Inker Designs and really pops against the blue. I heat embossed the sentiment from Lawn Fawn's "Hello Sunshine" stamp set. Other than piecing the cutouts around the sun, this card was super quick and easy to make :)
Swim on over to the DT blogs this week and see how they're celebrating the end of summer. And show some love to our guest designer and sponsor too!
