Today we say goodbye

Today we say goodbye to Design Team member Jennifer Ingle also fondly known as "Jingle" around the crafting community. We have really enjoyed having Jingle as part of our team. Her designs are unique and fun just like her personality. She will be missed but I know we'll be seeing her creations in the pages of Paper Crafts mag and more!

Here's a few of our favorite cards Jingle created with our fun products!

"It has been such an awesome experience designing for Eyelet Outlet!  I have stretched my creativity in ways that I never would have without this opportunity!  I will, of course, continue to use EO goodies, so be on the lookout on my blog for fun stuff!  Thank you to the Eyelet Outlet fans who have checked out my cards, thank you to Shemaine, our fearless DT leader who is always encouraging and ever understanding and finally, thank you to Suzanne for creating an awesome product and being so generous with us with it!   It has been nothing short of a pleasure!"

Thanks for all your inspiration Jingle! We wish you all the best.

Design Team Wednesday with Megan

Hello, Eyelet Outlet fans! It's Megan here with a couple of summer inspired cards! The beach and margaritas, what's more summer than that?!

This first card makes me think of relaxing on the porch with friends and an ice cold margarita! I stamped the clocks twice without reinking to create the shadow effect.

Supplies:
Ink: Clearsnap
Stamp: Joy's Life (Sentiment) and Stampers Anonymous
Cardstock: American Crafts and Bazzill

This card is bright and fun like playing on the beach. I used kraft to evoke thoughts of sand!

Supplies:
Cardstock: Bazzill
Patterned paper: Simple Stories (yellow dot) and Jillibean Soup
Die cut: My Mind's Eye
Sticker: Jillibean Soup
Ink: Clearsnap
Stamp: Joy's Life
Twine: Canvas Corp

Hope you are enjoying your summer! Thanks for stopping by the blog today!

Design Team Monday with Kerry

Hello Eyelet Outlet fans, Kerry here.
I'm sharing two fun cards using some ribbons and eyelets with you today.

For the first card, I used the glasses ribbon and black washi paper tape to create the background.
I added this adorable scientist from Paper Smooches, then finished it with an Eye Glass Brad (Since the eye glass brad was a little bit too big for the scientist,  I cut off the middle to fit) and some glossy accent.

And here is a closer look.

Supplies:  Eyelet Outlet Glasses ribbon, Eyelet Outlet Eye Glasses brads, washi paper tape, Paper Smooches Great Chemistry set, and glossy accent.

How about some aliens/monsters action?  For the second card, I created the background using the monster ribbon. I added the cityscape from Memory Box, and an adorable alien with a small eye brad.

Supplies:  Eyelet Outlet Monster ribbon, Eyelet Outlet Small eye brads, Memory Box Cityscape Nighttime die cut, and Paper Smooches  Space Cadet.

I hope you like them and have a great day!

Wednesday Inspiration with Annette

Let me preface the first card with this very important information. I am not pregnant. This card is not my way of announcing anything. It's just a card. I have two beautiful children and it's going to stay that way. I love my kids, but my days of bearing children are (thankfully) over. Whew! Now that I got that out of the way, I can start telling you about this card. I was searching for nautical cards on Pinterest and found a baby announcement with the phrase "Ahoy! It's a Boy!" I thought that was so cute. I dug through my stamps and found the Baby Fotos stamp set. Lo and behold! I saw the It's, a and Boy stamps. What's better?! They fit perfectly into the life preserver. I stamped Ahoy!, laid down some striped paper from Down by the Shore by Fancy Pants, adhered the life preserver, which I had fussy cut, and then added the seashell brads from Eyelet Outlet. I love how this came together.

Supplies Used
Stamps: A Jillian Vance Design Ahoy! and Baby Fotos stamp sets
Paper: Fancy Pants Down by the Shore
Ink: Memento, Stampin' Up!
Eyelet Outlet: Sea Shore Brads

The second card is a little more difficult to make, but I love it, too. First, I masked off a circle. Using distress inks, I created the bright sun. I stamped the rays with the polka dot border stamps from the A Jillian Vance Design Stripes 202 set. I distressed the sky and the water, which was also done with masking. Then, I stamped the sailboat with Memento Tuxedo Black ink. I adhered it behind the photo frame, stamped my sentiment and embellished it with seashell brads from Eyelet Outlet. For the base, I adhered strips of paper from the same paper pack used in the card above.

Supplies Used
Stamps: A Jillian Vance Design Ahoy!, Stripes 202 and Foto Frames stamp sets
Paper: Fancy Pants Down by the Shore
Ink: Memento, Stampin' Up!
Eyelet Outlet:  Fresh Flowers Brights

Design Team Wednesday with Jingle!

Hello, Eyelet Outlet friends! I have two fun CRITTER cards to share with you today!

The various critter brads available at Eyelet Outlet are seriously adorable, so I just had to celebrate them a bit today!

Ruff Day?

For this one I used some fun stamps from Simon Says Stamp and a bit of paper from Basic Grey's True Love 6x6 paper pad. I stamped in Momento inks. I used three of the adorable pups from the Puppy Brads collection.

Foxy Lady!
For this one I stamped a large sentiment from Mama Elephant and then added the foxy from a Papertrey Ink set in Momento inks. I added a few Neat and Tangled sequins and attached the adorable fox brad from the Woodland Animals collection.

SO CUTE! So... to moral of the story is... YOU need more critter brads

For reals, folks! They are way fun.

 Just sayin'.

Design Team Monday with Susie

Hello Eyelet Outlet Fans!
Susie here with a few new cards to share with you.
So right now, I am in love with lady bugs.  And SERIOUSLY - can these PINK ladybugs be any cuter??  Click right here to see them in the Eyelet Outlet store.  To make my card I used some black and white paper from Hobby Lobby and the Bingo stamp set from MFT Stamps.  I also used their yummy Razzle Berry ink and card stock.  Lining up the ladybugs to form a BINGO was so much fun!  Try it on your next bingo card project!

Now for card #2:

While I had out my sweet little ladybugs, I decided to do a second card using some red ones.  This time I let them be the centers of our new Eyelet Outlet paper flowers.  I still had out my card stock, stamps and inks from MFT Stamps, so I used them again for the strips and sentiment.  I added some Eyelet Outlet bling to finish off the card.

WOO HOO.

TWO sweet ladybug cards!!

I hope you like today's cards.  I am showcasing the first one on my blog today.  I welcome you anytime at The Dies Have It.

Now before you run off...Here's our Art Impressions winner....

Such a cute card - I love all the details, the clouds, the sun, those teeny bees...I'm going to have to bust out the brads and ribbon I got last week!

Congratulations! Please email us your address and we'll get your prize out to you!!

Have a great day!

Art Impressions Team up Day 6

Hi Eyelet Outlet fans! This is Annette from A. Spoon Full of Sugar. We're on day six of the Art Impressions swap. It has been a great partnership. Their stamps complement our brads and bling so well. I chose the Island Window from their Windows on the World line. I knew it would go well with the seashell, flower and pineapple brads - not to mention the newly released flying bird brad. When I first received the stamp, I colored it with Copic markers. It looked okay and I'm sure it would have worked just fine with this card, but something just didn't seem right to me. Ever have that feeling? I decided to go to AI's web site to look at some of the cards in their gallery. Then I stumbled upon some fantastic videos by Bonnie Krebs, the owner of Art Impressions. After watching a few of them, I knew exactly what to do...

I stamped the image on water color paper and used my heat tool to ensure the ink was completely dry. Then, I used my Tombow markers, but I didn't color directly on the paper. Instead, I laid down some ink on my acrylic block, then used a brush that I had dipped in water. I pinched off the excess water and applied the color. The result is this beautiful water color image. I think the water color medium works really well with the image. I stamped the image again with a bright pink color and adhered the water color image on top, leaving only the sentiment to show. I added the brads and a few little banners before affixing it to the card base, which I embossed to create a wave-like effect.

The sentiment reads "Wiggle your toes in the sand by the Sea, dream of tomorrow and all that can be.

"Aaaaah! Don't you just want to do that right now!?!

 Supplies used:
Memento Ink
Tombow Markers

Now for yesterday's Giveaway winner

Love all of it! The background, the birds, the serious look on her face, the grin on his face, all combine to create such a terrific design!

Art Impressions and Eyelet Outlet Day 4

Hello Eyelet Outlet Fans!  Susie here with a card I made for our Swap with Art Impressions Stamps.
It's Day 4 of our team up and I am so excited to be sharing my creation with you.

It's OK

The image I chose for my card is called Jumbo Dancer.  I think she is a total hoot!  I paired her with one of our sweet little Fresh Flower Brads. I added some of our Eyelet Outlet bling to my card too.  Her purse needed a pearl closure and the flowers on the Creative Imaginations Loolah paper needed some bright green bling centers! I hope you are enjoying our little hop with Art Impressions!

Now for today's prize question: Do you add brads as accents to patterned paper for your cards as well? Let us know by posting your answer on the Eyelet Outlet Facebook wall. We'll choose one lucky commenter to win an Eyelet Outlet prize package.

That's it for today!

Be sure to visit the Art Impressions Blog today to see what their team has created!
