John Ellis (1710? või 1714 - 15. oktoober 1776 London) oli iiri botaanik ja zooloog, kes oli spetsialiseerunud korallide uurimisele.
Ta toimetas Ameerika Ühendriikidest Inglismaale mitmeid taimi ja seemneid. Ellis oli kirjavahetuses mitmete botaanikutega, sh Linnéga.
Tema ametlik autorinimi on „J.Ellis“.
