Star Spangled Stickles Blog Hop!

Looking for Made Especially For You's 2 Year Blogoversary Blog Hop? Please click here. :)

Welcome to the Star Spangled Blog Hop brought to you by the All that Stickles design team!

"Oh say can you see... by the gleam of Stickles. Oh so proudly we post, our patriotic projects" (if you sing it to the tune of Star Spangled Banner, we promise it makes sense ;)

In non-musical form: Today the All that Stickles design team has created a variety of patriotic-themed projects using our favorite sparkly embellishment - Stickles!

I made a 4th of July box that would work great as a treat or favor box!

The box itself (not including the star topper) is about 2 inches by 2 inches, which is why it would be great for a few small pieces of candy. :) It's a cut from the Silhouette store and its cut out of Recollections cardstock.  To embellish the sides of the box I used some star pearls and a "celebrate freedom!" sticker from SRM Stickers.

The top of the box slides together to form a star. For the inner star, I used dark blue cardstock and embossed it using my Cuttlebug and a polka dot embossing folder.

The patterned star paper is by The Paper Studio and the dark blue paper is the same as used on the top of the box. I distressed both layers with Chipped Sapphire Distress Ink, and distressed the box itself with Fired Brick Distress Ink.

The chipboard letters I picked up at Hobby Lobby nearly two years ago, and they work great for projects like this that come around every once in a while. I embellished them with Picket Fence Distress Stickles to tone down their original brightness (although they look pretty bright in the pictures) and give them more of a distressed look.

We have blog candy for those who are a follower of All that Stickles and leave a comment on every stop of the hop! Winners will be announced Wednesday June 19th at All that Stickles.
