Social Norms are of great importance to us since without them we would not have the
ability to form our relationships correctly with others, which is why it is very important to
understand the differences between ethical, religious, social and legal norms.
These norms promote healthy coexistence, that is, social norms are essential for the
effective functioning of any society, since they create a framework within which people
can live, work and relate in an orderly and predictable manner.
Social norms are usually based on the shared values and beliefs of a society, helping to
transmit and maintain these values over time.
This is why they are of great help when trying to anticipate the behavior of another person
who is governed by these rules.
Social norms are not static; They can change over time as society's values and beliefs
evolve. For example, the growing acceptance of diversity and gender equality reflects
changes in social norms.

In conclusion, social norms are essential for the harmonious and orderly functioning of
any society. They serve as unwritten guidelines that regulate people's behavior in various
contexts, from home and work to the broader community. These norms help promote
peaceful coexistence, mutual cooperation, and social cohesion by setting clear
expectations about how individuals should act in different situations.
Through their influence, social norms facilitate conflict resolution, reinforce shared values
and beliefs, and allow people to anticipate and understand the behavior of others.
Although they may vary by culture and context, their common purpose is to create a
predictable and functional environment in which individuals can interact effectively.
