1 OBJETIVO
Esta especificación tiene como objetivo definir los requerimientos mínimos de calidad para tubería y
accesorios, según las condiciones operacionales para los cuales se diseñe, que cumplan las mínimas
condiciones de seguridad definidas para los proyectos de facilidades de producción de los diferentes
campos de PAREX en Colombia.
2 ALCANCE
Los materiales a los cuales se refiere esta especificación aplican a sistemas de proceso y servicios
auxiliares e incluyen tubería, válvulas, y accesorios (bridas, codos, tee, empaques, espárragos, etc.) de
las nuevas modificaciones y/o facilidades a construir a partir de la emisión del presente documento.
3 ABREVIACIONES

Es responsabilidad de los gerentes o coordinadores de proyecto garantizar la correcta aplicación del
presente documento.
5 GENERALIDADES
5.1 Tubería y accesorios
 Todos los materiales de acero al carbono y acero inoxidable para soldar, deberán estar
certificados de acuerdo con los estándares ANSI / ASME, en cuanto a dimensiones y calidad.
 Los diámetros exteriores para tubería de acero al carbono están basados en ANSI / ASME
B36.10
 El espesor de pared de las tuberías y accesorios se calculará de acuerdo con los capítulos
aplicables del ASME B31.3. El factor de calidad de las juntas soldadas será 0.85 para tubería y
1 para accesorios.
 El roscado en y/o sobre componentes de tubería deberá hacerse según ASME B1.20.1.

 El espesor de pared de los accesorios para soldar de acero al carbón o acero inoxidable deberá
ser al menos de igual espesor al de la tubería correspondiente.
 Los accesorios con extremos para soldar (BW) deberán cumplir con ASME B16.9 y con
extremos “Socketweld” con ASME B16.11.
 Los rangos de presión de todas las bridas menores de 24” serán según ASME B16.5. Los
diámetros interiores de las bridas con cuello para soldar (WN) y embonadas (SW) deben
coincidir con el diámetro interior de la tubería de conexión.
 Todas las empaquetaduras deben ser autocentrantes.
 Todo tipo de empaquetaduras para juntas de cara realzada (RF) deberán cumplir con ASME
B16.5. Todas las empaquetaduras no-metálicas deberán cumplir con ASME B16.21. Los tipos
de empaquetaduras a usar se describen en las hojas para cada clase de tubería.
 Las empaquetaduras tipo comprimidas libres de asbesto serán de 1/16” de espesor.
 Los materiales para tornillería se describen en las hojas individuales de cada clase de tubería,
de acuerdo con las siguientes guías generales:

5.2 Derivaciones
 Todas las líneas que se conectan a otra línea o cabezal, incluyendo conexiones a instrumentos,
venteos y drenajes, se consideran conexiones en derivación y se diseñarán según ASME B31.3.
 El tipo de conexión a usar para cada combinación de cabezal y derivación se lista en la “Tabla
de conexiones en derivación” en cada clase de tubería.
 Todas las conexiones de igual diámetro deberán ser Tees en todas las clases de presión. Para
derivaciones de un tamaño menor que la tubería del cabezal o línea principal se podrá usar
tee recta y reducción o tee reductora.
 Cualquier ruana de refuerzo a realizar debe ser calculada individualmente.
 Para el caso de componentes que deban ser unidos por soldadura cuyos espesores de pared
sean desiguales y uno de ellos sea de mas de 1½ veces el espesor del otro; la preparación de
los extremos y la geometría se hará de acuerdo con los diseños aceptables para espesores
desiguales según ASME B16.25.
5.3 Válvulas
 En las clases de tubería se incluye una breve descripción de cada tipo de válvula. Estas
deberán revisarse y detallarse en caso de requerimientos especiales durante la requisición de
estos elementos.
 Las válvulas se fabricarán de acuerdo con los siguientes estándares:

 Las válvulas operadas con palanca serán de cierre en sentido horario, a menos que se denote
otra cosa específicamente en los dibujos.
 Las válvulas con asientos suaves, tales como válvulas de bola y válvulas de retención
(cheques), estarán limitadas a temperaturas de servicio establecidas por tipo de válvula,
material de asiento suave y relación presión-temperatura.
 Las válvulas de compuerta se usarán para servicio de bloqueo general. Las válvulas de globo se
usarán para servicio de estrangulación como se indique en el diagrama de flujo de proceso y
para servicio de By-Pass.
 Las válvulas de bola pueden usarse para servicio general de bloqueo y para cierre hermético
en líneas de gas. Las válvulas con asientos y sellos de teflón (PTFE) estarán limitadas a una
temperatura máxima de 400°F.
 Las válvulas usadas en servicio de hidrocarburos serán de diseño a prueba de fuego, el cual
incluirá un sello metálico secundario como respaldo del asiento primario.
 Las válvulas de bola de tamaño mayor o igual a 8” deberán ser provistas con operador tipo
caja de engranajes.
6 CODIFICACIÓN DE CLASES DE TUBERÍA
Los siguientes criterios se utilizarán para codificar los fluidos contenidos en los sistemas de tubería de
las facilidades de PAREX:

6.2 Identificación de las clases de tubería
La identificación de la tubería se realiza de acuerdo al material, rating, tolerancia a la corrosión y
requerimientos especiales. Se utilizarán cuatro (4) dígitos seguidos ordenados de la siguiente manera:

6.3 Clases de tubería


A continuación se muestran las condiciones de diseño y el servicio parea cada una de las diversas
clases de tubería, además de sus características principales. Se debe entender que esta clasificación es
dinámica y puede ser actualizada agregando otras clases de tubería, con base en experiencias,
comentarios y recomendaciones recibidas de procesos de ingeniería de proyectos específicos.
