We visit the floating gardens in the Chicago river. We employ water conservation into all of our designs and advocate for the river as public space.

MVVA’s team of more than 100 people believes in the rejuvenating power of landscape. Our projects are defined by the qualities of their sites and by the aspirations of people who will use them. MVVA landscapes are innovative, generous, and joyful.

The environmental project The Handan Wastewater Cleansing Terraces is intended to transform a former landfill into a natural landscape with wetlands. A specially configured cascade system cleanses urban wastewater. An inhospitable wasteland will in this way become a park-like landscape, which is in addition accessible for teaching purposes. Turenscape was awarded Best of Best in the ICONIC AWARDS: Innovative Architecture.

The project brings a modern interpretation of the mountain landscape with the cultivated terraces, the dry river of the wadi. It offers proximity uses with its upper and lower promenades along the banks and sports fields in the wadi’s bed.
