⚠️ Note: If your house was built before 1990, please have your ceilings tested for asbestos before scraping

⚠️ Another note: Our ceilings were not painted, so it came down super easy. If yours have been painted, it’ll take a little more work to remove the texture. 

The repair after scraping is the time consuming part. You have a few options: 

⚪️ Skim coat and sand until smooth, then prime and paint
⚪️ Cover with something. Think bead board, tongue and groove boards, wallpaper, etc. 
⚪️ Apply a knock down texture and paint
