Fishing house

I wanted to draw a building, and I really felt like drawing a fishing house that stands in the middle of water and can only be accessed by a row boat. I think the water would be a large-ish lake, surrounded by trees, irises and frogs. I imagine the person who lives in the house to be a skilled fisher who enjoys sunshine, nature, and a bit of solitude.

It was a challenge where my task was to draw the upper level of the sea kingdom. The sketch was of one participant, the color palette of another. But in the process, everything changed many times. And the result was an independent art "fisherman's house".

I’ve had this old dead aluminum skiff laying on my float for a few years. I was in a fit of cleaning up when I thought I’d better get rid of it. Then I realized I also had an awning project on my list. I combined the two and even used an old yellow cedar mast for the uprights. I’m now waiting for it to hail. It should sound pretty good.
