Yoshinosegawa Dam (吉野瀬川ダム, Yoshinosegawa Damu) is a gravity dam located in Fukui Prefecture in Japan. The dam is used for flood control. The catchment area of the dam is 24 square kilometres (9.3 sq mi). The dam impounds about 51 hectares (130 acres) of land when full and can store 7,800,000 cubic metres (280,000,000 cu ft) of water. The construction of the dam was started in 1986.[1]
