This is a collection of discussions on the deletion of articles related to Hungary. It is one of many deletion lists coordinated by WikiProject Deletion sorting. Anyone can help maintain the list on this page.

Adding a new AfD discussion

Adding an AfD to this page does not add it to the main page at WP:AFD. Similarly, removing an AfD from this page does not remove it from the main page at WP:AFD. If you want to nominate an article for deletion, go through the process on that page before adding it to this page. To add a discussion to this page, follow these steps:

Edit this page and add {{Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/PageName}} to the top of the list. Replace "PageName" with the relevant article name, i.e. the one on the existing AFD discussion. Also, indicate the title of the article in the edit summary as it is particularly helpful to add a link to the article in the edit summary. When you save the page, the discussion will automatically appear.
You should also tag the AfD by adding {{subst:delsort|Hungary|~~~~}} to it, which will inform editors that it has been listed here. You may place this tag above or below the nomination statement or at the end of the discussion thread.

There are a few scripts and tools that can make this easier.

Removing a closed AfD discussion

Closed AfD discussions are automatically removed by a bot.

Other types of discussions

You can also add and remove other discussions (prod, CfD, TfD etc.) related to Hungary. For the other XfD's, the process is the same as AfD (except {{Wikipedia:Miscellany for deletion/PageName}} is used for MFD and {{transclude xfd}} for the rest). For PRODs, adding a link with {{prodded}} will suffice.

Weak delete. Was unable to find any online sources about this film. As it stands, it fails WP:NFILM. Though, part of me wonders if there are any offline sources considering the film was made in 1964; if there are multiple reliable sources covering this film from something like a newspaper then I would consider keeping it. Keep as it is the first and noted film of a notable director (https://nfi.hu/en/core-films-1/films-3/documentaries-1/58-seconds.html) (see NFIC: involves a notable person and is a major part of their career) or, at the very least, Redirect to Lívia Gyarmathy#Filmography: a standard alternative to deletion when the director is notable and has a page on this WP. -Mushy Yank. 12:48, 11 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

József Fellai

I am aware of his 89 minutes of football in the top tier of Hungary but I don't believe that that makes Fellai notable by default. Under current guidelines he needs to meet WP:GNG or WP:SPORTBASIC. The only decent source that I can find is Pécsi Újság but this uses Pécsi MFC as its source so is not independent of the subject. Richárd Csepregi

HLSZ has him down for one professional season followed by several at semi-pro/amateur level. My own Hungarian searches yield no significant coverage for WP:SPORTBASIC. 20 of those were in the second tier, which probably weakens things a bit. Still, we would expect something about him in newspapers. Nemzeti Archívum doesn't seem to have anything about him between 2005 and 2007. Hungaricana has some hits in reliable newspapers. Fradi is not independent (his club's own newspaper) and is only an image caption. Új Néplap is only an image caption and this only mentions him in passing. Heves Megyei Hírlap is also only a passing mention. Perhaps this could be moved to draft space until one source complying with WP:SPORTBASIC #5 is found? I'm finding it very hard to search that Hungarian website - there's certainly nothing on him in my generic web searches, but that website is saying "Csepregi Richárd" brings up no hits whatsoever, which is clearly false. I haven't found any American-style feature stories on him, though, which is generally what people want nowadays. My sense is he's notable, we just need to prove it somehow.
