- Evidence
The banned user VinceB (see Wikipedia:Community sanction noticeboard/Archive6#Community ban proposal for VinceB) has been evading his ban since then, using sockpuppets and editing from dynamic IP addresses starting by 195.56. and 91.120. As someone who had to deal with the original puppetmaster on numerous occasions, I am confident he is currently using a new sockpuppet: Squash Racket (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · nuke contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log).
- Squash Racket is replacing official names of towns in Slovakia by their Hungarian names, [1] - one of the favorite activities of VinceB[2], [3] and his blocked sockpuppets[4][5][6]. Please compare this Squash Racket's edit[7] with the identical edit of VinceB's previously blocked sockpuppet[8].
- Squash Racket pushes a very specific POV (denying the not very well-known noble family of Hunt-Poznan any Slovak identity) in three extremely low-profile articles. The only user pushing the same POV in the same three articles has been an IP of VinceB's range (after VinceB got banned). Compare Squash Racket's edit[9] with an edit by that IP[10].
- Comparing contributions of Squash Racket[11] and the banned VinceB[12], most of their edits support the same POV (roughly describable as Hungarian nationalism) in a limited number of articles (e.g. Magyarization, Slovakization, and 2006 Slovak-Hungarian diplomatic affairs).
- Clearly, Squash Racket is not a new user, as he/she reported an incident at WP:ANI[13] and used the Wiki-jargon in edit summaries[14] the very same day he/she registered an account.
- Both accounts display a very similar, disruptive style of communication. For example, both have removed all the comments they did not like, incl. blocks and vandalism warning templates, from their talk pages (VinceB[15], Squash Racket[16]); both have reported fake incidents and ordinary content disputes at WP:ANI (VinceB [17], Squash Racket[18]); Both have regularly called other editors engaged in a content dispute "liars" (Vince[19], Squash Racket[20]). Their level of English is very similar too. In addition, both have the same habit of editing their comment on a talk page several times just after posting it, both overuse capital letters and bolding in their comments, both have a strange habit to repeat words of their adversaries as their own words, and both call other people "dudes", which is rather unusual among Hungarians. Other VinceB's sockpuppets have displayed the same characteristics.

Unfortunately, checkuser cannot be used in this case because VinceB's log is no longer stored. Tankred 23:41, 24 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- I checked some of the diffs and logs. There's more than enough evidence to link these two users. I support an indefinite block. Shalom (Hello • Peace) 20:32, 25 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
- Conclusions
- I have blocked the sockpuppet, as the evidence is so strong. --Тhε Rαnδom Eδιτor 23:24, 25 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]
