PrestonH (talk · contribs) I am requesting an editor review because by now I made 1000+ edits in Wikipedia and I want to see how well I'm performing in Wikipedia and see if I can make any improvments.--PrestonH 03:20, 19 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Reviews

  • Hey there, PrestonH. Firstly, you have a very good attitude to vandalism (the right mix of little tolerance and 'don't bite the new comers') which is always a big plus in my books! You are certainly active in that department, a lot of your edits are user talk pages, I spy a number of IP's in there so that means you have been adding vandalism warning tags alot, which is good! I admit I am slightly worried at your number of mainspace edits. While your active vandalism pursuit explains why a 1/3 of your total edits are on userpage talks, I notice that there isn't one particular article (or handful or articles) which have a large number of edits by you. While this may just be your own style of wikipedian-ing (I'm not trying to be hostile here :) ) I feel that it may be good for you to dedicate some time to working on a small number of articles that interest you (you may be able to get a hold of a wikibot that will deliver a list of suggested articles to your talk page, which you can choose to edit if you like.) This will both boost your edit count and help to address a possibly imbalance in the location of your edits. Moving on, you are polite, I see you have been testing things out on the sandbox which is always good, and giving your thoughts to other users RfA's, which is also great! Also, your policy of seeing wen new accounts are created so you can greet them is a very good idea, encourages good wikiquette. So all in all, you're doing very well! Just take care in your encouraging anti-vandalism work not to forget the article writing! I'm sure other users will chip in their opinions too, as I might not have covered everything. Thanks for the review SGGH. Unfortunately, I don't stick around in one of my favorite articles because almost all of the articles I like contain almost all the information the article needed. I'll probably stick to reverting vandalism because I don't want people to read nonsensical pages. Again, thank you for the review.--PrestonH | talk | contribs | editor review | 00:43, 20 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Questions

  1. Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
Well, I'm very proud of myself for reverting vandalism over 80 times (see my contributions). If I can't revert vandalism, I'll just warned the vandal which is like my secondary edit to reverting vandalism.
  2. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
No, I haven't had Wikipedia-related stress. If I have stress, I will probably talk to a trustworthy user or an administrator to support me or help me with my stress problems (or go to Espranza). The only time I'm having a problem with Wikipedia is getting occasionally getting autoblocked by my IP user.
