Wikipedia:Editor review/P.B. Pilhet

From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

P.B. Pilhet (talk · contribs) I have been editing on Wikipedia for close to four months, and have a desire to expand my helping-power by becoming an administrator. I have already had an RfA, but it failed due to inexperience. I'd simply like to know what the community thinks I'm doing right, what I'm doing wrong, and what they'd like me to improve upon. P.B. Reviews PB, you're a solid Wikipedian who is most definately on the path to becoming an Admin. Although I respectfully disagree with many of your personal opinions on such topics as politics and religion, I would fully support an Admin attempt you had, barring that it was within my time frame for reasons to oppose (Wikipedia Seniority; I tend to have a six-month minimum). If you want to become an admin, I suggest you contribute more to WP:AFD, WP:RFA, and especially to Wikipedia:Village Pump. If in a few months from now you wish to run for Admin and need a nomination, I would be happy to help. Sharkface217 04:44, 7 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

  • P. B., I've not encountered you much, but one thing I have noticed is that you tend to vote "delete per nom" in AfDs. It's often better to explain a bit further (see WP:AADD), since a "per nom" opinion doesn't carry much weight. Just a thought. --N Shar 01:39, 5 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Questions

  1. Of your contributions to Wikipedia, are there any about which you are particularly pleased, and why?
Yes. I created the Taliesin Orchestra article, and am still in the process of writing about all of their albums. I'm also pleased with the Colorado and Oregon State Police articles that I did.
  2. Have you been in any conflicts over editing in the past or do you feel other users have caused you stress? How have you dealt with it and how will you deal with it in the future?
As most of what I do is patrol newpages to fight vandalism, I have indeed been in many user conflicts. My policy for dealing with them is simple: stay cool and be civil.
