Function details: Due to an error in the input data used for a set of semi-automated edits, approximately 300 pages concerning listed buildings in the UK include co-ordinates in the wrong format (with the wrong datum -- OSGB36). Fortunately, the original grid references were also included, so we can just rerun the conversion from grid reference to coordinate pair using the correct datum (WGS84). In extreme cases this meant that the coordinates appeared to refer to points 100m away from where they ought to: definitely nice to be able to correct this, relatively cheaply.

- Upon further review, there are handful of shortform grid references, which provide inaccurate conversions. Fortunately, I have the more detailed grid references on file. Would it be acceptable to replace and update these also, before applying the conversion? - Jarry1250 [Vacation needed] 20:07, 21 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Sounds good. — HELLKNOWZ ▎TALK 20:12, 21 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Sorry to keep adding to the function details, but while I'm editing, it would be useful to change C17 to 17th century in the "completed" column. I'd already done this in 95% of cases before the pages went live, but it seems I missed a few. - Jarry1250 [Vacation needed] 20:24, 21 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
- Sure. — HELLKNOWZ ▎TALK 20:26, 21 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]

- Trial complete. Coordinates are now bang on (I tested 20, with impressive results) -- even where the grid references were revised in the same edit. So good to proceed, I reckon. - Jarry1250 [Vacation needed] 21:10, 21 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
Approved. Looks good. — HELLKNOWZ ▎TALK 21:18, 21 August 2013 (UTC)[reply]
