Another railroad facility mistakenly identified as a community. Hookston was one of three rail stations serving Pleasant Hill. "Hookston Station operated as a train station on the San Ramon Branch of the Southern Pacific Railroad. From 1891 to 1983, the station was primarily used as a loading dock for shipment of goods, including fruit and lumber." (see pg. II-2).
