Image copyright problem with Image:James armstrong playwright.jpg
[edit]Thank you for uploading Image:James armstrong playwright.jpg. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.
If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. STBotI (talk) 21:47, 19 January 2008 (UTC)
Orphaned non-free media (Image:James armstrong playwright.jpg)
[edit]Thanks for uploading Image:James armstrong playwright.jpg. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).
If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 08:24, 24 January 2008 (UTC)
If you can spare the time, would you be kind enough to look over the "Dance" section in the above article for me? I've done my best to reproduce the key elements of Lee's analysis, but I am out of my ground (which is history and art) with figures, patterns, and the humanistic aspects of the performances, and I'd be glad if you could make sure the details and terms are correct. Many thanks. qp10qp (talk) 15:52, 26 March 2008 (UTC)
Image licensing
[edit]Hey there...
I am going through a number of images that have some minor licensing issues. I came across Image:Stanley elkins.jpg which you uploaded. The licensing on this image is not complete as it was uploaded many years ago. I wonder if you could follow the link to the image page and correct the licensing with a GFDL license (or other free license). If you have any questions or issues, please drop me a note on my talk page. Thanks. --Jordan 1972 (talk) 14:18, 11 October 2008 (UTC)
This is an automated message from MadmanBot. I have performed a search with the contents of Julia Sutton (actress), and it appears to be very similar to another Wikipedia page: Julia Sutton. It is possible that you have accidentally duplicated contents, or made an error while creating the page— you might want to look at the pages and see if that is the case. If you are intentionally trying to rename an article, please see Help:Moving a page for instructions on how to do this without copying and pasting. If you are trying to move or copy content from one article to a different one, please see Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia and be sure you have acknowledged the duplication of material in an edit summary to preserve attribution history.
It is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article. MadmanBot (talk) 04:46, 9 July 2012 (UTC)
- The bot here is correct. If you want to overwrite an existing article with a disambiguation page, move the article to the new title and then replace the redirect with the disambiguation page. Don't just copy and paste the content, that destroys the edit history (which we need to keep for legal reasons). I've fixed the problem here. Hut 8.5 09:57, 9 July 2012 (UTC)

The International Encyclopedia of Dance
[edit]Hello!
As far as I can understand from Canario (dance), you are the owner of an issue of /subj. I am from the russian wikipedia, and I want to write an article about another old-fachioned dance, spagnoletta. For this, I need to use The International Encyclopedia of Dance and an entry about spagnoletta, in particluar. That's why I'm here. Could you please tell me where I can find a free version of that encyclopedia, or some other users who own it, or could you please send me a facsimile of the exact entry about spagnoletta.
Thanks a million, Wanwa (talk) 12:53, 8 August 2013 (UTC)

Dance Studies Association moved to draftspace
[edit]An article you recently created, Dance Studies Association, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). As it stands, all provided citations in the article are to sources directly connected with the Dance Studies Association, and thus cannot be considered independent or reliable.
I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:
" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. signed, Rosguill talk 22:46, 21 September 2018 (UTC)
