Deletion discussion about Atlantic Building

[edit]

Hello, Vvven,

I wanted to let you know that there's a discussion about whether Atlantic Building should be deleted. Your comments are welcome at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Atlantic Building .

If you're new to the process, articles for deletion is a group discussion (not a vote!) that usually lasts seven days. If you need it, there is a guide on how to contribute. Last but not least, you are highly encouraged to continue improving the article; just be sure not to remove the tag about the deletion nomination from the top.

[edit]

Hi Vvven, I saw you translated some articles from spanish wikipedia very well. I recently have translated some spanish article called Independence of Trujillo but it was tagged as bad translation or some like that. Please if you had some time some day I would thank you checked it and get it better to get out that tag. If you're too much busy I understand. Thanks anyway.

Gracias, buena semana --AL (talk) 19:09, 8 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I tried to fix these references, are so because I have not been able to pute effectively. These are clear and current references, are the same reference of that page in the wiki in Spanish. These days I'm going to continue translating what is needed to improve the article, also will be almost all the same images of the wiki in Spanish, since that is the language of Chile, and thus has contributed and improved but in that article in spanish.

I need your help to fix the references without deleting. --Vvven (talk) 02:29, 26 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. Ch in Old Spanish

[edit]

Vvven, Why have you written that Ch is considered a single letter in Old Spanish? Is it a convention used in abecedaria of the time when Old Spanish was a living language or a convention of modern Spanish philologists? I know that Antonio de Nebrija did consider Ch and Ll to be letters, but was this convention common? RAE considered Ch and Ll to be letters not from its foundation, but from 1754. Had to revert your edits on List of music artists and bands from Argentina. As much as you'd like to list everybody, Wikipedia is not a collection of stuff. Lists are there to organize and direct people to articles. If an entry does not have an article in en.WP then it does not belong, as clearly stated in the edit notice on the page. If you fell an entry should be there, please write the article first and assert notability. -- Alexf(talk) 23:06, 28 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

The Peru Barnstar of National Merit
On behalf of the Peru Wikiproject, Luis Darío George (User:Vvven) is hereby awarded the Peru Barnstar of National Merit for his continuous contributions to articles and templates related to Peruvian culture and architecture, most notably the creation of the article on Peruvian colonial architecture and the template for Lima landmarks. Fringe stuff

[edit]

I see you've moved it to the appropriate article, and for that thanks. But the sources are terrible. You've copied some of this from [1] and it is your responsibility to check the sources. Not only can I not even find one, random websites by non-experts can't be used as sources, and one of your sources is an artist, not an archaeologist or runologist. Doug Weller talk 12:11, 22 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Doug Weller Well, i think can be valid, Valeriĭ Ivanovich Guli͡aev is from the Institute of Archaeology of the Russian Academy of Sciences, is one of the sources that suppor this theory, other one as Mariana Accornero is a author of books specialized towards the artistic manifestations of the Indigenous of the Americas, and the latter Miguel Angel Scenna (1924-1981) was an renowned Argentinian historian "He published many books and articles, among which stand out for its impact. He was a regular contributor to the magazine Everything is History, directed by Felix Luna, where he published many articles. He was considered a moderate member of the revisionist trend.". some even could be more valid resources than other many in the hiphotesis sections in the article--Vvven (talk) 23:34, 22 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Let's look at your Russian source. It says Valeriĭ Ivanovich Guli͡aev Pre-Columbian travels to the Americas: myths and realities University of Texas. Pub. Abya-Yala, 1992 pages 186 et seq. What does the University of Texas have to do with this, and could you please quote some of what he says from his book that backs this?
And quotes from Mariana Accornero and Miguel Ángel Scenna, "Antes de Colón", Universitary publisher of Buenos Aires, 1974, page 79. I
This should be at the article talk page and I'm copying some of it there. By the way, your attempt to notify me didn't work. It only works if you add it, correctly, the first time you save an edit. If you revise the edit later adding a "ping" it won't work. Doug Weller talk 17:58, 23 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Copying from other Wikipedias

[edit]

You've got to follow these guidelines or your edits are copyright violations. This applies to Walls of Philip IV and I think to at least one other article where you copied material:

Copying from other Wikimedia projects

[edit]

If copying or moving via "transwiki" from another Wikimedia project that is licensed under CC BY-SA (such as Wikimedia Commons, Wiktionary, and Wikispecies), you may satisfy attribution either by providing a complete list of authors of the original content (the complete list can be generated by copying the history of the remote page) or by providing a direct link to the original material. If the list of authors is brief, this may be provided in the edit summary. A direct link (such as an InterWikimedia link) should be included in the edit summary; the template {{Interwiki copy}} is available for the article's talk page. If leaving a list of authors, please also provide a URL to the original page in case it becomes necessary in the future to access that history. (See Help:Transwiki.)

Although most Wikimedia projects are licensed under CC BY-SA and require attribution consistent with the Foundation's Terms of Use, some projects are handled differently. For example, content from Wikinews is licensed under CC-BY and may be reused with attribution only to "Wikinews." (See Wikinews:Copyright.) It is the responsibility of the editor importing content to determine the license that applies and ensure that attribution is satisfied.

Translating from other language Wikimedia projects

[edit]

Translations of copyrighted text, even from other Wikimedia projects, are derivative works, and attribution must be given to satisfy licensing requirements. When translating material from a Wikimedia project licensed under CC BY-SA, a note identifying the Wikimedia source (such as an interlanguage link) should be provided in an edit summary in the translated page, ideally in its first edit. Where applicable, the template {{Translated page}} can also be added to the talk page to supplement copyright attribution. You may use an edit summary like (using French as an example) Content in this edit is translated from the existing French Wikipedia article at [[:fr:Exact name of French article]]; see its history for attribution.

In copying material here, remember you take responsibility for the sources and also for any copyright violations in the original articles - hopefully there won't be any but we frequently find copyright violations in our articles, so it isn't impossible. Doug Weller talk 18:09, 23 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Doug Weller ok thanks, but i really need you help me with the requests, of the sources editors, but is well known that all these created articles were of constructions that existed--Vvven (talk) 19:13, 23 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Doug Weller look, the Walls of Philip IV doesnt have a rough translation, is just i left its gates its complete names--Vvven (talk) 19:13, 23 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Oh they should have articles, I'm not questioning that. But I'm finding it hard to understand some of Walls of Philip IV. I can't help with the sources, I'm afraid. Doug Weller talk 19:41, 23 January 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Edit war

[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Black people. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Please be particularly aware that Wikipedia's policy on edit warring states:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made.
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes; work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Kendall-K1 (talk) 21:22, 13 February 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Your DRN request

[edit]

Hi, I'm the current coordinator over at DRN. Your request there has been removed because it was not made through our listing bot using the "Request dispute resolution" button at the top of the page. Manually-filed requests breaks our maintenance bot. I would ordinarily recommend refiling through that button, but your request would have been declined even if you did because DRN, like all other forms of moderated content dispute resolution requires extensive talk page discussion, preferably at the article talk page, before seeking assistance through dispute resolution. Please try discussing the matter at the article talk page in question. If the other editor will not discuss, consider the recommendations made here. in all my years of editing in here and in soccer (nearly ten), I have never seen writers address the naming of a footballer as such ("known in SPAIN/PORTUGAL/GERMANY/whatever as"). We choose the name by which the sportsperson is most widely known, for 99,999999999% of his career so far, he has been called "Saúl".

Hispania Baetica

[edit]

Hello, Vvven -- I saw that you changed (moved) "Hispania Baetica" to "Baetica". I couldn't find any discussion about this, and I'm curious as to why you changed it. I'd like to learn why "Baetica" is better than "Hispania Baetica".  – Corinne (talk) 03:58, 9 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Well, when i saw Lusitania, a Roman province of the former Hispania, abbreviated, I wanted to pair them, also i saw checking that was said also as abreviated by the Romans self, i dont made the same with hispania Tarraconensis, cuz would come a some troll, or some crtical that could revert, so i made a bit carefully making just one, are you right with that, i dont care much that articles though--Vvven (talk) 04:08, 9 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Ferdinand I of León

[edit]

I see that you added content in the article on Ferdinand I of León which you translated from es.wiki. I have added the translation template in the talk page, something that must be done whenever you translate from another wikipedia, as was mentioned previously in your talk page. I will be going over the translation since some parts are unintelligible. Regards, --Maragm (talk) 17:33, 9 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

you should not delete all the translation with the intention of fixing it later. First, because you can replace the translation arranged two months later or maybe within two years, and second because anyone, and not only you, can arrange translation. so just you should not take the initiative. I will revert your decision, waiting for someone wishes to improve the translation, anyone with a native level in English can improve it because it can understand--Vvven (talk) 18:19, 9 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I reverted your edits since in you seem to have deleted previous text that was well-referenced, and also due to the faulty translation. Will be adding more from es.wiki but only if info is not already in the article. --Maragm (talk) 18:21, 9 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I'll put the references early posting by others users who contributed. but give me time, a short time--Vvven (talk) 18:24, 9 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

The translation is awful. You have erased referenced text. The lead should be a summary, not as long as it is now. If you want to keep it, fix it: translation, references and all. --Maragm (talk) 18:27, 9 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

it I see it as as a summary of several events, and neither see long when compared to other articles of the same indoen on the rest of Europe, I will return references and continue translating. It is what I can do. anyone else going to visit, administrator, amateur, interested, specialist or native English can is their right to pass to correct grammatical errors and sentences, and so is made as quickly and contribution as possible--Vvven (talk) 18:36, 9 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

If you cannot write in proper and correct English, then maybe you should not do so in this wikipedia. Nobody else is under the obligation of fixing your mess. You have destroyed a perfectly good and referenced article. --Maragm (talk) 18:38, 9 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Perfect was neither is, if so had a "golden star". and just some translating, and i saw, it was very incomplete. also it had enough paragraphs difficult to understand, with sentences that look like did not read the formerly and over putting them. after this article, I will continue to improve other Iberian medieval kings's articles, adding new sections not mentioned, instead of trying to discredit me and insult my work deliberately, for a few errors, which in many articles I've been doing Users to have arranged, or thank me several administrators/users, you might as well help improve it--Vvven (talk) 18:50, 9 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Now are added the references and relevant information that i deleted (along with the information and references that I add). Arranged.--Vvven (talk) 19:41, 9 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Vvven, if somebody offers to fix your translation, you should let them and not revert them. I have reverted to the version Maragm was working on. Srnec (talk) 19:42, 9 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

and How people will see, to fix it, unless the interested see this discussion, and if he is too much interested it will fix, if that comes to watch the revert to see if it's worth doing. I do not think, it's better to do as I indicated, that what any see at first glance, think or not to fix it, and so could be arranged--Vvven (talk) 19:48, 9 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

You can report me as you want, I think I'm right, I'm just improving and developing the article... I included all the old article, adding new important information, references and new images related. I have not reverted anything--Vvven (talk) 20:00, 9 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

and I will make time to do the same with other articles of iberian kings that are now very incomplete, even some of them yet a stub--Vvven (talk) 20:17, 9 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
Your only contribution was badly translating paragraphs from es. wiki, without even attributing as per license requirements. You did no research, did not check any books, merely added info from another wikipedia, some of which was already in the original version in English, therefore some info is redundant and duplicated. Before you "translate" any more, please learn some proper English so that others don't have to do the dirty work. --Maragm (talk) 00:59, 10 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
See that you erased your remark. FYI, I reported your disruptive behavior and editing. --Maragm (talk) 01:31, 10 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Translations

[edit]

I see that you have translated many articles from the Spanish Wikipedia but that you are not indicating that this is the case. I suggest you read Translating from other Wikimedia projects: "Translations of copyrighted text, even from other Wikimedia projects, are derivative works, and attribution must be given to satisfy licensing requirements". When you start translating an article, you can indicate this in the edit summary or you can paste the following template as I have done in Convento de la Natividad y San José where I pasted in the respective talk page of the article, the following template: {{Translated page|es|Convento de la Natividad y San José}}.

Above you say: "On Jule 2016 my English skills improve a 99 % of its perfection". I'm afraid that, just by looking at some of your recent edits, that your English still needs to be improved if you want to add content to this wikipedia without the need for someone else to correct the grammar and make it comprehensible. --Maragm (talk) 13:19, 19 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Replying to the note you left in my talk page

[edit]

Vvven, first of all, do not ever call me or any other female Wikepedian "honey". That is condescending and "machista". Secondly, the note you wrote above is full of grammatical errors. Your English is not good enough and you should not be editing in en.wiki. I would say that all of the articles you created are not in proper English and either you fix them or someone else will have to waste their time in doing so, and it's not going to be me. Rather than tackling the translation of articles on Iberian monarchs, you should correct all the articles you created and also add the translation template since you have not done so, only in a couple after I mentioned that it was mandatory for licensing purposes, for example, Castle of Burgos. Should you continue to insist on mis-translating, I will have no other choice than reporting you again as I did earlier this month. --Maragm (talk) 11:30, 23 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

I also notice in your user page that you mention the name you had previously and the articles you created under that account. Again, same problem with your English translations from es.wiki and lack of attribution (translation template or edit summary).--Maragm (talk) 13:54, 23 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Tell me honey can i now expand some monarchs's articles, and related, because are too shorts, not as should to be that topic's articles, and besides do not have images contemporaries of their times, but artists's imaginary from centuries later, not best images for that, a more contemporary image has significance besides are closer to real. Please look to my translations, that on my user's page articles marked with nc (nice). Look please i want to, for larger, more images, and you'll watching, and i most, to be you changing just a few. Check my High Quality images, all very well-sources, with right dates, as most as it is possible found on internet. i now uploading a whole British book on drawings of locations in the Spain of early-19th century--Vvven (talk) 04:31, 23 July 2016 (UTC)

I truly really sorry if you felt offend, i just say you like a pretty because firstof all youre a lady i want you show aprreciate , always in my life im against with machism, that empathy and love to female's rights is part of me. second, i just try to better the articles at most, and each time fixing, is not matter of just one edit, or one month. you saw that each time i do it with all my articles created, my english is not too bad, but also is not too good, but in a mearly future, idk, maybe 2 or 3 months will be better and the articles develoved by me these articles on my userpage will be more spelling and more developed, better. i don't know where you say on castle of burgos there some a violation. Some Castle of Burgos images came from a book of 500 years old, almost all imeges of 100 years old and more has right to shows in wikipedia. the rest of aarticle is just a translation from es.wiki. there many people with less English skills than me and people dont threats them to get out from wiki, or say to them that dont write in wiki. Of one or another way i'm helping--Vvven (talk) 16:03, 23 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

In my real life the female rights i felt it so much, and defend if you would know because the women is more intelligent and perfect, and i'man but with life i knew that. With that articles translates from es.wiki and other external references, i will each more adding better references and try each more on be more understandtable them, following the patterns of English grammar, is all i can do in the present but is not i can do in a future--Vvven (talk) 16:03, 23 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

"Iglesia de"

[edit]

Please DON'T create "Iglesia de..." titles, ever. They should normally have the form "Church of San Jorge, Manzaneda" for village churches, not Iglesia de San Jorge (Manzaneda). For churches in larger cities, the style San Julián Obispo, Burgos is best. I have looked at the Spanish Wikipedia - not a single church is titled using "Church of...". Please reciprocate. "Monastery" etc titles should also be in English. Johnbod (talk) 14:55, 18 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Ok as in "San Luis Obispo, Salamanca" I get it. Thank you for gift your time, almost among the most valuable thing in life, the time. to improve this side of the wikipedia.--Vvven (talk) 17:13, 18 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Greetings! I appreciate your enthusiasm, but before you create a stub template and/or category, you should propose its creation at the stub sorting project. As a Spanish language stub type did not exist, there's probably a good reason for that; if there were need for it, we'd know that, too. Unless you can find 60+ articles that would use this template and category, it would be better to delete the category and "upmerge" the template. Please come and have a look at WPSS for guidelines. (Also, please don't put a "maintained by WPSS" banner on a category about which WPSS knows nothing.) Her Pegship (talk) 23:32, 20 September 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Latin American 10,000 Challenge invite

[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Latin America/The 10,000 Challenge ‎ has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Brazil, Mexico, Peru and Argentina etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. At some stage we hope to run some contests to benefit Latin American content, a destubathon perhaps, aimed at reducing the stub count would be a good place to start, based on the current Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon. If you would like to see this happening for Latin America, and see potential in this attracting more interest and editors for the country/countries you work on please sign up and being contributing to the challenge! This is a way we can target every country of Latin America, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant!♦ --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 00:56, 27 October 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Europe 10,000 Challenge invite

[edit]

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!

[edit]

Hello, Vvven. Voting in the 2016 Arbitration Committee elections is open from Monday, 00:00, 21 November through Sunday, 23:59, 4 December to all unblocked users who have registered an account before Wednesday, 00:00, 28 October 2016 and have made at least 150 mainspace edits before Sunday, 00:00, 1 November 2016.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2016 election, please review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 22:08, 21 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

New Challenge for Oceania and Australia

[edit]

Hi, Wikipedia:WikiProject Oceania/The 10,000 Challenge and Wikipedia:WikiProject Australia/The 5000 Challenge are up and running based on Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge which has currently produced over 2300 article improvements and creations. The Australia challenge would feed into the wider region one and potentially New Zealand could have a smaller challenge too. The main goal is content improvement, tackling stale old stubs and important content and improving sourcing/making more consistent but new articles are also welcome if sourced. I understand that this is a big goal for regular editors, especially being summertime where you are, but if you'd like to see large scale quality improvements happening for Oceania and Australia like The Africa Destubathon, which has produced over 1700 articles in 5 weeks, sign up on the page. The idea will be an ongoing national editathon/challenge for the region but fuelled by a series of contests to really get articles on every province and subject mass improved. The Africa contest scaled worldwide would naturally provide great benefits to Oceania countries, particularly Australia and attract new editors. I would like some support from existing editors here to get the Challenges off to a start with some articles to make doing a Destubathon worthwhile and potentially bring about hundreds of improvements in a few weeks through a contest! Cheers.♦ --MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 02:12, 24 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Complaint about your edits at Monastery of San Juan de los Reyes

[edit]

See my talk page. An editor says you are copying the results of a machine translation into this article, and you are edit warring to insert your preferred text. You can respond to that complaint if you wish. If you continue to revert, you are risking a block for disruptive editing. Thank you, EdJohnston (talk) 03:34, 25 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Material you included in the above article appears to have been copied from the copyright web page http://www.toledo-turismo.com/en/convent-of-carmelitas-descalzos_273. Copying text directly from a source is a copyright violation. Unfortunately, for copyright reasons, the content had to be removed. Please leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions or if you think I made a mistake. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 03:01, 5 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Convento de San Antonio de Padua, Toledo requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://www.toledo-turismo.com/en/convento-de-san-antonio-de-padua_274. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to modify it — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. If you are not the owner of the external website or image but have permission from that owner, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission. You might want to look at Wikipedia's policies and guidelines for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 03:53, 5 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Category:Former Visigothic buildings and structures, which you created, has been nominated for possible deletion, merging, or renaming. A discussion is taking place to see if it abides with the categorization guidelines. Speedy deletion nomination of Puente Colgado (Aranjuez)

[edit]

Hello Vvven,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Puente Colgado (Aranjuez) for deletion, because it seems to be copied from another source, probably infringing copyright.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to rewrite it in your own words, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Hello. I am Diannaa and I am an administrator on this wiki. Prose you find online is almost always copyright, and cannot be copied here; it's against the law to do so. All prose must be written in your own words. There's more information about copyrights and how it applies to Wikipedia at Wikipedia:FAQ/Copyright. Copyright law and its application are complex matters, and you should not edit any more until you have taken the time to read and understand our copyright policy. Further copyright violations will result in you being blocked from editing. This is your final warning. — Diannaa 🍁; (talk) 11:51, 7 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Says Dianna that the next time I will block. I ask for a moment of consideration, maybe it will block a troll or a person who is creating articles of buildings that were important part of the history of countries when they were erected, however it is difficult for another person to create--Vvven (talk) 21:07, 7 April 2017 (UTC)
Sorry but adding copyright material to this website violates the copyright policy of this website and of copyright law. If you do it again, I will block you. — Diannaa 🍁 (talk) 18:18, 9 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
See the page. I did not do anything illegal. Just put dates, and important data as it is "classic architecture" and little else. Has no violation, only actual data. And use that page as a source.--Vvven (talk) 23:31, 9 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Hello after giving me a warning I did not do more than write necessary data, only data, or quotes well summarized, tell me what text I copied? I require an unblock for my account, and a discussion by administrators, since I'm doing what all users do when they add text based on sources nothing else. To add is the first time I block, and the only thing I done in wikipedia is to contribute in an energetic way in the creation of articles, without wanting to troll or worsen the wikipedia with my edits. I have only tried to contribute and when I was asked to stop copying literally texts from sources I stopped doing it, and instead I added only the necessary including the source from where I took it.
It seems that according to Diannaa I can not write anything based on an external source, then would it be otherwise, to invent? (just say).--Vvven (talk) 23:21, 23 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

I took a look at your most recent contribution to Miraflores Charterhouse (since removed as a copyright violation). This occurred on 2017-04-22. Your text contains content copied from http://www.cartujadeburgos.org/cultura/arte/dispersa/ This is not a case of adding text based on sources, this is a case of unambiguous copyright violation. You literally copied text from a direct translation of that page, in violation of WP:COPYRIGHT. As such, I see no grounds to believe the block is invalid. You would certainly be eligible for unblock consideration if you read and understand WP:COPYRIGHT and WP:FU and convince us you'd never again violate these policies (whether deliberately or accidentally). If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Vvven (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

Hi again, I already read the WP:COPYRIGHT and FU, I will do my best not to make a copyright violation again, certainly for me it is quite important to continue editing in wikipedia, since I love this site, although I will continue to write notes based on sources, they will be only data, facts but too summarized, I will also translate articles from other Wikipedias. I hope I'll forgive my mistake. There are still articles that I have to create that are not on any wiki and only give reliable, very specific data, nothing more, thanks Yamla for responding and helping--Vvven (talk) 01:13, 24 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

If you have read WP:COPYVIO and WP:FU you ought to be able to give us an idea of your understanding of copyright and how it applies to Wikipedia. Until we can be sure that you have understood (not simply read) these polices, we cannot be certain that it is safe for you to be allowed to edit the encyclopedia. To that end, please cover the following in your next unblock appeal:

  1. What licence is Wikipedia published under?
  2. What is copyrighted material?
  3. Why can copyrighted material generally not be published under Wikipedia's licence?
  4. Under what circumstances can Wikipedia publish copyrighted material?

Sufficient answers to these questions will enable subsequent reviewing administrators to consider your unblock request appropriately. Yunshui  08:28, 24 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. Vvven (block logactive blocksglobal blockscontribsdeleted contribsfilter logcreation logchange block settingsunblockcheckuser (log))

Request reason:

Well, explain what I learned. First of all, copyrights are very important in wikipedia since these can concur to legal external sanctions for the company, which I do not want to provoke, it is a company and a family of which I feel a part, you can share the full documents if they are properly authorized by the author of the work, you can extract information, that is, copy, if the paraphrase is not similar or there is no true linguistic similarity, if strangely enough it would incur in copying a short text very close to the paraphrase, please ask me to get the complaint so that I can fix it immediately. But that does not block me, because if I did it was in a way that I did not want to do (violate copyrights). With the images, already half a year ago I was aware of uploading what images, I upload only those that are safe (by sources) that have more than 80 years of existence, in other cases since the death of the author, and I have done good on images for half a year here, I uploaded only old images. Also I understand from the article WP: COPYRIGHT that if you can copy verbatim paragraphs of covers and book covers since these should be free of copyright laws, that surprises me, and I will bear in mind as well. I also ask and in a way, if you could, that the plagiaries that I have done in the past because of my ignorance, if it is what I do, that you also informed me that, so that I can fix them immediately, I ask please DO NOT IMMEDIATELY CLEAR THE ENTIRE ARTICLES, or block my account immediately, since it will have been done in the past without knowing how many laws work here, I also understood that wikipedia does not have these same copyright laws if your text is copied off site, so wikipedia is a copyright free company. Also, if you donate copyrighted material, you have to notify it in the discussion page of the respective article, adding the url in the text originally created, ask to confirm the author by e-mail and read in two articles the rest of the procedure Which must be taken. In WP:FU I learned that one of the main purposes of the wikipedia is that its contents are free of copyrights so that they can be distributed or marketed by third parties, and to take care of legal problems, content with copyrigt can be allowed only in case From citations of historic characters, or to include logos within narrow ranges, you can not upload portraits of living people. You can upload images with copyright only in case you can not upload free images, only under the legal doctrine of the United States of fair use, (I am not aware of the laws of the United States of America, I do not know if with that doctrine you can skip the other legal documents of the other countries (I do not want to get into those rolls, because if I can not upload an image that does violate the laws of Wikicommons, believe me that I do not have the requirements, I just do not upload it and thats it ... although I read later that US laws applies also to texts, I also do not know under which exceptions.). That a file will be deleted 7 days after your notification, this will help me maybe for what I am asking for above with the time of removal of the entire article, I asked, what I want is to give me a chance to fix it if there is a failure.

  1. What licence is Wikipedia published under?

I believe that all the licenses I mentioned above, such as those that are modified so that it is not a mere copy, or practically one, or according to what you require by laws on this subject in the United States, if the text remains the same then you have that request a request from the owner of the rights, if the paraphrase is modified, a point is reached that can be published, including where the information was extracted, if it is copyright free, there is no problem, with the images the laws are different, according to the time that has the image

  1. What is copyrighted material?

Any material that is owned by the person who created it, or company, that has a signature, and that is not mentioned somewhere that can be freely copied, for example a text taken from the internet, when it is a quote from a book author , exceptions can be made, with the images according to the expiration date of the copyright.

  1. Why can copyrighted material generally not be published under Wikipedia's licence?

Because Wikipedia work is to use, redistribute, copy, since it works without a copyright license, because that is one of its objectives.

  1. Under what circumstances can Wikipedia publish copyrighted material?

It can be done in two ways: first, if you can literally copy quotations from books that mention their authors, or relevant personalities, that they writing about the subject matter. Otherwise I know it is under US exception law, although I am not very aware of these laws. I hope administrators solve the case, and I can continue contributing to this wikipedia. I will not do things that violate the law, and if it appears it may be from an edition prior to this date, or an error that I do not want to commit, that if you would come to consider that it may violate the laws, if this is so, I ask That I be notified to fix it very promptly, but please do not block my account please! And also do not delete the wikipedia article, since it is much easier and takes less time to fix it, than to start from zero--Vvven (talk) 22:23, 1 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Vvven. I wanted to let you know that I’m proposing an article that you started, Puy du Fou Toledo, for deletion because I don't think it meets our criteria for inclusion. If you don't want the article deleted:

  1. edit the page
  2. remove the text that looks like this: {{proposed deletion/dated...}}
  3. save the page

Also, be sure to explain why you think the article should be kept in your edit summary or on the article's talk page. If you don't do so, it may be deleted later anyway.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

A tag has been placed on Category:2021 architecture requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section C1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the category has been empty for seven days or more and is not a disambiguation category, a category redirect, a featured topics category, under discussion at Categories for discussion, or a project category that by its nature may become empty on occasion.

Let me tell you that I'm a bit retarded, and that shows in this, I can not answer those questions for everything I have to learn and I can not, I just can not, I know everything but a better explanation than the one I gave I can not give, as I said I've diagnosed some retardation, I charge a pension for that, but nothing to ruin my work on the internet or anything, but there is something in which I stand out, in what I am good, and it is in translating pages from the Wikipedia in Spanish to the Wikipedia in English, demonstrating it on many of the pages i create, I invite you to come through my userpage to see part of my translations, and I say I assure you that I am going to commit nothing else in translating from that wikipedia, please allow me to do it, it is one of the few things that I can do in my life, is not going to repeat what I did previously, I swear, WP blocked me just once but it will not happen again.

The article House of the Jesuits, Cartagena has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

This article does not meet Wikipedia's guidelines for inclusion in the encyclopedia, specifically the general notability guideline and verifiability policy.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.  --- Α Guy Into Books § (Message) -  01:24, 28 September 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Please, I already learned the lesson, I do not copy any text from another website, only from wikipedia, and the language I know, from Wikipedia in Spanish, please let me do it, it's a lesson that blocked me for almost a year, for that and other things, because I love to write in wikipedia, I will not miss in that rule. The wrong Q1: What licence is Wikipedia published under? Creative Commons Attribution-ShareAlike 3.0 Unported License This is related to the images, the images must be included by own photo or when the author has died after 100 years according to US laws and, the GNU Free Documentation License : this is applicable without changing a single word, the text made by recognized authors, or by permission of the author already expressed. To copy a text, you have to ask the author, and also put it on the talk page of the article, I will not do so, that to be clear, I will just copy from the wikipedia in Spanish mostly, and create some STUBS with references--Vvven (talk) 18:41, 4 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I used the User:ILoveCaracas as my account, because I had spent most of all a year asking excuse for my behavior in this account and all the time I said I would not repeat it again, I tried to unlock this account but I was always asked for an impossible answer for me, in the new account User:ILoveCaracas if you administrators review I behaved neatly, all my issues contributed a lot to wikipedia, please ask me for a chance, like almost all last year I asked for it. please, if I did not repeat any wrong action, except to create a new account (after that year, for me it was a long time and I gave many answers explaining but it was impossible for me) but that despite the wrong action to do a new account, also show that my behavior in that account was completely opposite, I truly apologize and and i ask for an opportunity, please i invite you check in that new account I contributed a very huge for wikipedia, and also you could realize that I learned the lesson completely.--Vvven (talk) 00:48, 21 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Aside from the fact that you evaded your block, your request does not address the reason for your block. You state that you were asked for an "impossible answer"; no answer is impossible to give if you take the time to learn about the issue. For these reasons, I am declining your request. I think at this point your only pathway back would be the Standard Offer, and only then if you can adequately address the copyright issues you have. That means no block evasion or socking for six months. 331dot (talk) 09:50, 21 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

thanks i accept

[edit]

I used to read it but I always refused the answer, but good. Since there is no other option I accept the Standard Offer. Thank you for giving me that opportunity but you can assure me that after that time of sanction you will unlock my two accounts, this one and above all that of User:ILoveCaracas that I would like to use it after my sanction is fulfilled. Could we reach that agreement of the Standard Offer (from right now?). I dont undestand that of "can adequately address the copyright issues you have" but surely I will (just tell me what that means)--Vvven (talk) 11:33, 21 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

I suggest that you review the reason you were blocked and the declined unblock requests above, including the policies other administrators linked to in them. You will have plenty of time to do so before you come back six months from today(not before October 21st, and assuming you did not create additional accounts). If you still do not understand the reason you were blocked, you won't be unblocked even in six months.
Both your usernames will not be unblocked. If you decide that you no longer want to use this account after it is unblocked, you can then request unblock on the other account, stating that you want to abandon this one. I don't know if that will succeed, but you can try. 331dot (talk) 11:45, 21 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

331dot Sir thats somewhat hard, I honestly tell you I have some problems to give a convincing answer for more than I read a lot something. I was born with that defect, it's more I tell you that I'm sure people read my thoughts (my mind), but I've never moved that into wikipedia, I've made excellent articles since I stole the other account, I'm just saying that I'm a good editor, but at the moment to give you a convincing answer I can not do it, review the previous declinings, if you knew how it cost me a lot to give those answers and I re-read a lot it and thats did not help with this.--Vvven (talk) 11:53, 21 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Your responses do not need to be formatted as unblock requests unless you are actually requesting to be unblocked. If you are going by the Standard Offer as you claim, you should not do so.
If you are physically or mentally unable to answer the questions given to you, I have nothing but sympathy for you, but editors must have the capacity to adequately communicate with other editors and discuss issues that come up. This requirement does regretfully prevent some people from contributing, but it is necessary for Wikipedia to function.
I also see that you are Venezuelan; perhaps you would find it easier to contribute to the Spanish Wikipedia, if you don't already. Your block only applies to the English version. 331dot (talk) 12:02, 21 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much, yes life is very hard for those of us who do not have a voice like other minorities yes have, not only for that but for the things that nobody knows that we have to live some of us (especially because we do not like anyone!), but I do not say never that because be a victimist is the most stupid, I only ask that all of you administrators consider that It's hard for me to give 'good' answers when I have to give this--Vvven (talk) 12:07, 21 April 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Sockpuppet investigation

[edit]

Hi. An editor has opened an investigation into sockpuppetry by you. Sockpuppetry is the use of more than one Wikipedia account in a manner that contravenes community policy. The investigation is being held at Wikipedia:Sockpuppet investigations/Vvven, where the editor who opened the investigation has presented their evidence. Please make sure you make yourself familiar with the guide to responding to investigations, and then feel free to offer your own evidence or to submit comments that you wish to be considered by the Wikipedia administrator who decides the result of the investigation. If you have been using multiple accounts (in a manner contrary to Wikipedia policy), please go to the investigation page and verify that now. Leniency is usually shown to those who promise not to do so again, or who did so unwittingly, but the abuse of multiple accounts is taken very seriously by the Wikipedia community.

The article Tourism in Venezuela has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

An enormous article with only a handful of references, this is basically a tourism ad rather than an encyclopedia article. I came here because someone had added that Caracas was a murder capital - I wanted to revert that, but once I saw that almost the whole article is uncited, I found myself asking why should one opinion should go while others stay? From the head tag, it appears that this has been the state of the article for at least four years, so I think we should get rid of it.

A tag has been placed on Puerta de Córdoba (Seville) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G12 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to be an unambiguous copyright infringement. This page appears to be a direct copy from http://culturadesevilla.blogspot.com/2015/04/sevilla-oculta-puerta-de-cordoba.html. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images taken from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. You may use external websites or other printed material as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences. This part is crucial: say it in your own words. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If the external website or image belongs to you, and you want to allow Wikipedia to use the text or image — which means allowing other people to use it for any reason — then you must verify that externally by one of the processes explained at Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials. The same holds if you are not the owner but have their permission. If you are not the owner and do not have permission, see Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for how you may obtain it. You might want to look at Wikipedia's copyright policy for more details, or ask a question here.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
