Please bear these points in mind while editing Wikipedia

The Wikipedia tutorial is a good place to start learning about Wikipedia. If you have any questions, see the help pages, add a question to the village pump or ask me on my talk page. By the way, you can sign your name on Talk and discussion pages using four tildes, like this: ~~~~ (the software will replace them with your signature and the date). Again, welcome! Username

[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. I noticed that your username, "Unhex(46 75 63 6b 20 79 6f 75 21)", may not meet Wikipedia's username policy because regardless of language; French, English - or Hex - "Fuck you!" is not an appropriate username. If you believe that your username does not violate our policy, please leave a note here explaining why. As an alternative, you may ask for a change of username, or you may simply create a new account for editing. Thank you. Chaheel Riens (talk) 05:17, 23 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Given that your account was only created 6 hours ago, your presence has most likely not even been noticed by many other editors. That you purposefully invite editors to use a hex decoder to unravel your username suggests that you intend for others to be told "Fuck you!" - which in any tongue is offensive. I still think you should change it. Chaheel Riens (talk) 06:30, 23 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

I believe my creativity and quirky humor will be beneficial to the rather dry and strict Wikipedia. As you can tell from my edits, I supported transparency with regards to my username.

Decline reason:

Whether hex, octal, Greek or Linear A, obscene usernames aren't permitted. Trolling, however nerdy, is similarly discouraged. Acroterion (talk) 04:04, 24 May 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
