UBX template
[edit]That's a nice idea, I just moved so many of them. :| There are bots that change the templates, but I have no idea when they will be running. I may have to do that to get all the complaints (just look at my talk page) off my chest. Scepia 02:34, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
The Gorean "Dina" abstract flower symbol
[edit]I don't really care all that much what is done with Image:Dina-gor.svg, and its being licensed as GFDL means that you don't have to ask my permission anyway (as long as the GFDL license terms are complied with, which is pretty much automatic within the aegis of Wikipedia). However, you should be aware that this symbol actually has a highly-specific meaning within certain circles... AnonMoos 04:56, 2 January 2007 (UTC)
P.S. If you want an abstract flower symbol which doesn't have a highly-specific symbolic meaning, then you might try Image:Fiore_01.svg (though that may have been somewhat patterned after an old version of the ICQ status icon...). AnonMoos 05:00, 2 January 2007 (UTC)

Your reversion on WP:RD/H
[edit]I just want you to note what you did with your recent reversion. You removed two substantive comments by me in order to replace a bogus template and a question about said bogus template which were purposely removed as being poor form and unnecessary. It is common practice on the reference desk to re-format other people's posts as one goes along and to remove posts which lose their meaning in the process in order to keep such posts from de-railing the greater purpose of the reference desk, which is to answer questions. I am sure you meant well but I want you to realize that in the end you restored something worthless at the expense of something substantive. --24.147.86.187 02:32, 4 January 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Thank you so much for making the user boxes for me!! One minor thing though, could you possibly add a period at the end of this user likes kiwis? Teak the Kiwi 03:17, 5 January 2007 (UTC)

falungong out side china
[edit]i certainly balance that article, there rejection case outside china there rejection what ever it involved china party or by glodok comunity there rejection about falungong activity in glodok comunity and true are there area not china part, we reject them but cause they stuborn activity to make our comunity to kick them from glodok. and i certainly put netral oponion with the ref adrres about the incident(news)[1]. so well both side argument have balance oponnion as you see. Before this ancident falun gong are ussualy have painting exhibit in glodok area such chandra building and they are not rejected(in the past they have several painting exhibit in glodok area and they are not rejected, but the last time they push the limit and rejected by glodok people) but this ancident prove how the falung gong did legaly dirty way to push the limit.Daimond 06:12, 28 January 2007 (UTC)
if they angry and push this ref adress [2]as source i said the adress only cover by falungong side as did epoch time did as they prespectif to told there nothing wrong with they way, this was they told but truth are diffrent than that as you see, how they terorizing and distrub our comunity in many month?? certainly they activity are not month in our place there few year activity in our comunity before that and now they push the limit and distrub. i think i am right to cover both argument(in indonesia matter) not one side story like epoch time or clear harmony way isn't it for balance the articel. if they anger with both argument you could imagene how angry i am read this ancident story by epoch time who only give one side storyDaimond 07:07, 28 January 2007 (UTC) and the foto taken in desember as you see the date of the foto taken.

I figured it was either a momentary lapse of reason from an experienced user or something else reasonable. Most of the copyvios picked up by wherebot have no other contribs. I'll see about the larger article. Thanks! -- Butseriouslyfolks 03:31, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
- On second thought, the article you moved it from had quite a history. When I was looking at Character classes from the Dragon Quest series on its own as a new article, I assumed it was copied from the external website. Considering the fact that it was part of an article going back several months, and it wasn't picked up as a copyvio previously, I'm now thinking the external site copied from WP. It's already been deleted, but I'm going to do my best to restore your work and make a note on the talk page. -- Butseriouslyfolks 03:37, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
- Oh man, I missed the fine print at the very bottom of http://en.allexperts.com/e/l/li/list_of_character_classes.htm. "This is the "GNU Free Documentation License" reference article from the English Wikipedia." D'oh! Do me a favor and see if I missed anything re-creating the page. Sorry!!!!! -- Butseriouslyfolks 03:53, 1 February 2007 (UTC)
- It would have served you right if I had changed Character classes from the Dragon Quest series to a deleted, protected page: use edit summaries to explain what you are doing. -- RHaworth 13:54, 1 February 2007 (UTC)

Userbox
[edit]Thanks for the heads-up DarkSide. Not checking the usage policy on the picture was a pretty foolish oversight on my part. I'm getting the userbox removed until I can find something more suitable and I'll certainly be more sensible in my experiments in the future. Suriel1981 07:40, 1 March 2007 (UTC)
Re: User:Averross/Penny Arcade

Thanks
[edit]Thanks for the fix. So was the problem largely just the fact that i was trying to make more than three boxes, or that they were layed out incorrectly or what? WookMuff 01:48, 4 March 2007 (UTC)
- The problem wasn't with the number, I think it was because it was very hard to read the markup so you might have missed a bracket or two. Either that or it was those positioning commands you left (left, centre, right).
- Cool, thanks :) WookMuff 02:02, 4 March 2007 (UTC)

[edit]Thanks for making the Userbox! It looks really good!
Thanks again,

I just noticed something about the userbox. Could you add "task force" to the end of it? And I noticed that the category link at the bottom of the page is broken. How do you fix that?
Thanks,
Skunkmaster 01:42, 15 July 2007 (UTC)
Thank you! And with the category link, were talking about moving the list of participants to that page?

Sorry to bug you but I was looking at their talk page and they had chosen a picture for their icon, so could you change the userbox image? Here is the link to the image.

How do you put a pic on a userbox?
[edit]When making a userbox, how do you place an image in it? The picture I want is already on Wikipedia, which makes it legal to use, right?
Please reply on my talk page.
Thanks,

Redirect of Simpson family vacations
[edit]Hello, this is a message from an automated bot. A tag has been placed on Simpson family vacations, by another Wikipedia user, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. The tag claims that it should be speedily deleted because Simpson family vacations is a redirect to a non-existent page (CSD R1).
To contest the tagging and request that administrators wait before possibly deleting Simpson family vacations, please affix the template {{hangon}} to the page, and put a note on its talk page. If the article has already been deleted, see the advice and instructions at WP:WMD. Feel free to contact the bot operator if you have any questions about this or any problems with this bot, bearing in mind that this bot is only informing you of the nomination for speedy deletion; it does not perform any nominations or deletions itself. Please update your status with WP:VG
Dear WikiProject Video games member,
You are receiving this message because you have either Category:WikiProject Video games members or {{User WPVG}} somewhere in your userspace and you have edited Wikipedia in recent months.
The Video games project has created a member list to provide a clearer picture of its active membership.
All members have currently been placed in the "Inactive" section by default. Please remove your username from the "Inactive" listing and place it under the "Active" listing if you plan on regularly:
- Editing video game-related pages in the Article namespace
- Participating in video game-related discussions in the Project namespace (WT:VG, WP:AfD, WP:GAN, etc.)
Ideally, members are encouraged to do both, but either one meets our criteria of inclusion. Members still listed inactive at the beginning of November 2009 may be removed. You may re-add yourself to the active list at any time. Thank you for your help, and we look forward to working with you.

Members listed in the "Unknown" section will be removed from the membership list and category at the end of January 2010. You may re-add yourself to the active list at any time. Thank you for your help, and we look forward to working with you.
