Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia. However, adding content without citing a reliable source, as you did to Mariah Carey, is not consistent with our policy of verifiability. Take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. If you are already familiar with Wikipedia:Citing sources please take this opportunity to add your original reference to the article. Also, please only capitalise proper nouns and first words in sentences — this does not include genre names such as "pop". Thanks. Extraordinary Machine 21:35, 21 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did to Mariah Carey's eleventh studio album. Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Thank you. Kurt Shaped Box (talk) 20:16, 19 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Tangier (band)

[edit]

A tag has been placed on Tangier (band) requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a band, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for musical topics.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Do not remove speedy deletion tags from Wikipedia. It is considered Vandalism.--CastAStone//(talk) 00:02, 9 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Paradise City edit

[edit]

Hello, thanks for your addition to the Paradise City article. However, I was wondering if you had a source that we can cite for Mariah Carey's appearance in the video. I've never heard of this before, and it would be better if there was a footnote attached to it. Also, as has been stated elsewhere in your talk page, this is not consistent with the policy of verifiability, either. Thanks! GrimmC (talk) 21:59, 17 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]
