Blood Knights
Hey there. I appreciate that there is a standard among Video Game articles that calls for cover art and screenshots, but I personally have stopped uploading non-free cover art and screenshots for the articles I write. This is for two reasons: first, because I disagree with the use of non-free media on Wikimedia Foundation projects, and second, because we are having increasing success at convincing smaller studios to release assets under free licenses (see Fez, Pid, The Splatters, Shelter, etc.). I'm not saying "please stop", because I know that's a losing argument, but I did want to let you know why I did not include images. Sᴠᴇɴ Mᴀɴɢᴜᴀʀᴅ Wha? 21:18, 5 March 2014 (UTC)

Reference Errors on 6 July
Hello, I'm ReferenceBot. I have automatically detected that an edit performed by you may have introduced errors in referencing. It is as follows:
- On the Fatal Frame II: Crimson Butterfly page, your edit caused a cite error (help). (Fix | Ask for help)

Notability on Taiko no Tatsujin articles
- Taiko no Tatsujin: Don to Katsu no Jikū Daibōken (3DS2 hereafter, because it's the second 3DS Taiko game)
- Taiko no Tatsujin: Wii U Version (Wii U)
- Taiko no Tatsujin Wii: Kettei-Ban (Wii5)
Thanks for reading and bringing up the possible notability problems on the above articles. Being of less experience, I figure I might ask you for advice first before contending anything at their (talk) pages.
Referring to WP:N, notability requires sufficient significant coverage by independent and reliable (secondary) sources. I know that all three games has received dedicated coverage on multiple gaming magazines and websites, including both printed and online Dengeki and Famitsu [1] [2] (printed unable to produce), as well as Destructoid [3], Siliconera [4] [5] and TechnologyTell [6] [7]. Notability should not be a problem unless I am mistaken in thinking these sources pass WP:RS, in which case please do tell and instruct/give a list of more recognized RS.
If this looks good to you I will reproduce (the idea) on their (talk) pages. Again thanks for looking out on these articles! --野郎院ひさし//Nigellius Nitrox (talk) 15:11, 21 July 2014 (UTC)
- I'm not sure about TechnologyTell but the other sources are reliable sites. I can't speak of the Japanese sources but I wouldn't call the English articles you have linked "significant coverage". It's mostly brief news articles. Can you really build an article with those? A review, preview, or retrospective is what I would call "significant coverage". --Mika1h (talk) 15:37, 21 July 2014 (UTC)
- Thanks again for the thoughts. But I myself is still quite lacking in expertise to raise the grounds so Talk:Taiko no Tatsujin#Proposal: Merger of individual games wrt. notability. --野郎院ひさし//Nigellius Nitrox (talk) 13:00, 24 July 2014 (UTC)
There's some of unreliable sources everywhere like Popdust, Popcrush etc. (check "References"). User:IPadPerson actual removed but in any section. Can you remove unreliable completely? 183.171.165.211 (talk) 14:56, 31 July 2014 (UTC)

Final Fantasy X Release Date Controversy
Hey Mika1h, sorry to disturb you, but I just wanted to let you know why I added the Remastered release date for FFX.
If a game is ported, that means that it's been developed to play on a new system, correct? However, when being ported, a game is always the same. Even if minor changes are added, such as a new level, updated graphics, new voice acting, etc. the main game is still intact. This is why I edited FFX's release date to add the Vita and PS3 ports. While is does have it's own article, it doesn't change the fact that it is now on another system.
For a good example of my reasoning, I point you in the direction of Kingdom Hearts. Even though there's an article for the 1.5 HD collection, the original PS2 version still had it's article updated to add the release dates, consoles it's on, etc. Other Wikipedia articles for classic games with ports such as Chrono Trigger, Final Fantasy, many Mario titles, Zelda, Donkey Kong Country, Resident Evil all have the new systems their on added to their line up. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Spilia4 (talk • contribs) 17:53, 31 August 2014 (UTC)

RE Survivor 2
You are actually mistaken Mika1h. I never copy-and-pasted the contents of Resident Evil: Survivor 2 Code: Veronica to Resident Evil Survivor 2 Code: Veronica. Actually both of them were earlier redirects to Resident Evil Code: Veronica since the game Resident Evil Survivor 2 Code: Veronica was inspired from it and an article about Resident Evil Survivor 2 didn't exist. Since the article didn't exist I requested the redirect Resident Evil Survivor 2 Code: Veronica to be deleted so I could create an article about the video game RE Survivor 2 and then after that I created the article about the video game by moving the info in my sandbox to the article title Resident Evil Survivor 2 Code: Veronica. You can check about this in the history of the article. Since the game now had its own article I redirected Resident Evil: Survivor 2 Code: Veronica from Resident Evil Code: Veronica to Resident Evil Survivor 2 Code: Veronica. You can about this too in its own editing history. As you see you are completely mistaken in assuming that I copy-and-pasted the article. I created the article myself by moving all info from my sandbox to Resident Evil Survivor 2 Code: Veronica. Hence please cancel your request to merge the edit history of Resident Evil Survivor 2 Code: Veronica and Resident Evil: Survivor 2 Code: Veronica. KahnJohn27 (talk) 01:08, 31 October 2014 (UTC)

Tekken revisions
Hey there. I noticed you made revisions to the Tekken page, but I had to change them back. Here are the reasons why:
- Firstly, the table became much more cluttered looking after you revised them, and didn't fit with the opening statement with the Games section.
- Platform of origin for Tekken is both arcade and PlayStation, and this is because Namco System 11 is based on PlayStation hardware.
- You added Tekken 7 to the list but it currently is not announced for arcades, and not only that but you added Namco System 478 as the arcade board, which Katsuhiro Harada debunked.
I hope you can be understanding for this. Osh33m (talk) 03:16, 13 July 2015 (UTC)

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Disputed non-free use rationale for File:HPstonebox.jpg
Thank you for uploading File:HPstonebox.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this file on Wikipedia may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the file description page and adding or clarifying the reason why the file qualifies under this policy. Adding and completing one of the templates available from Wikipedia:Non-free use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your file is in compliance with Wikipedia policy. Please be aware that a non-free use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for files used under the non-free content policy require both a copyright tag and a non-free use rationale.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. – Finnusertop (talk ⋅ contribs) 18:01, 2 May 2016 (UTC)

Sherlock Holmes
Hello, why did you revert all my edits? I may have made some mistakes, but the template now it's largely incomplete and contains mistakes too (e.g. in the Frogwares series). Best regards.--Carnby (talk) 11:25, 22 September 2016 (UTC)
- Per WP:NAV: "Red links and unlinked text should be avoided". --Mika1h (talk) 11:58, 22 September 2016 (UTC)
- I have updated the template avoiding red links, unlinked text, and anchor links. The navigation is now bidirectional.--Carnby (talk) 14:44, 23 September 2016 (UTC)
Bloody Roar Primal Fury Extreme
I noticed that at some point you merged Bloody Roar Primal Fury/Extreme into Bloody Roar 3's article. While Extreme is a port of Primal Fury, Primal Fury itself is a completely unique entry in the series, as different from 3 as 3 is from 4, and as such I believe the merge should be undone and Primal Fury/Extreme's page should be restored
Can you explain why you merged the pages? I know a few sites have refereed to PF as an "enhanced port of 3", but as a fan of the series I know that to be false and there is currently no sources on either the main page for the franchise or the page for 3 that make that erroneous claim anyways. If you need me to, I can try to find sources that do note it's a unique game, but that may take some time since obviously articles don't normally go out of their way to specify a new game is in fact new and not a port, since that's assumed to be the case to begin with.
Thanks. 2606:A000:6383:D100:586E:DEB:87BD:9FFE (talk) 04:53, 9 November 2016 (UTC)
- Okay, you're free to unmerge and add sources to the article. --Mika1h (talk) 14:56, 9 November 2016 (UTC)
ArbCom Elections 2016: Voting now open!

Wipeout covers
Please can you stop reverting me. I had already explained to you why I chose the Saturn cover arts over the old ones. Discuss here or on one of its talk pages before reverting again. JAGUAR 20:21, 14 January 2017 (UTC)
- And I disagree with your reasons ("more presentable, improves readability"). Also there is the major fact that you ignore the Video Game Project guideline of WP:STOPCHANGINGIT, that I have included in the edit summary. --Mika1h (talk) 20:25, 14 January 2017 (UTC)
- I'm planning to bring the Wipeout series to Featured Topic status. The future articles which I will eventually get around to nominating at FAC (after improving Wipeout 2048) are the first Wipeout and Wipeout 2097. Since they are my early GAs, they'll need some expansion and polish before nominating, and I should get to it within a couple of weeks or so. If you had promoted content before you would know that aesthetics is an important factor and that the project guidelines should be bent every now and again. I've re-uploaded higher quality cover art before over the older ones as I think it does improve readability. Anyway, this is the last time I'll revert for now. Just please keep what I said in mind. Thunder Force series and video game merge?
Hi there, I was curious as to why you've merged the Thunder Force series page, and the page for the first Thunder Force game into one? Iftekharahmed96 (talk) 17:26, 2 June 2017 (UTC)
- Both were short articles with with barely any reliable sources. --Mika1h (talk) 18:08, 2 June 2017 (UTC)
- Fair enough, in that case, you may as well merge Darius (series) into Darius (video game). The series article about the franchise is equally short. Iftekharahmed96 (talk) 18:21, 2 June 2017 (UTC)
- Why did you ditch the game list when doing it? Many of the games are quite a bit different from each other. Devilmanozzy (talk) 11:21, 3 June 2017 (UTC)

Your habit of undisclosed article merges
Hi there, I have reverted a merge that you made because your reasoning was not logical and it damaged a navigation box. I'm not outright against the merging of articles, however, No Cliche should have been the target article as they were the company that created Toy Racer/Toy Commander and they were a former Sega subsidiary. Iftekharahmed96 (talk) 11:21, 1 October 2017 (UTC)
- What you said doesn't make any sense. Please learn what makes a notable article before reverting my merges. --Mika1h (talk) 15:58, 1 October 2017 (UTC)
- Your confrontational response to this is not collaborative. Wikipedia is not your playground, if you want to go through with something like a merger or redirect, make a logical reason and try to get people agreeing to it before going through with it. Iftekharahmed96 (talk) 19:11, 1 October 2017 (UTC)
- Iftekharahmed96, you should review WP:BOLD. He is required to discuss only in the event that someone disagrees on a specific article. --Izno (talk) 20:34, 1 October 2017 (UTC)
- Fair point, but at the same time, the No Cliche article was linked to the Sega Sammy Holdings navigation box. Personally, I'm not against the merge and redirect at face value, the user just didn't present an objective reason for doing so hence this comment. Him being confrontational to a comment that wasn't entirely negative to begin with. Iftekharahmed96 (talk) 20:48, 1 October 2017 (UTC)
- An article's inclusion in a navbox is not a defense of that article's inclusion in Wikipedia. Not entirely sure why you think that's an interesting line of reasoning. Our inclusion standard is whether others have written about a topic. Templates, especially navboxes, can be changed trivially. --Izno (talk) 01:07, 2 October 2017 (UTC)
- You are aware that this user was not the person that wanted to delete the No Cliche article? Point being, if there was to be a redirect, it should have been re-directed to No Cliche as opposed to Toy Commander/Toy Racer. And again, "basically only notable game developed by the studio" is not objective, it's subjective. Iftekharahmed96 (talk) 10:14, 2 October 2017 (UTC)

Upload images help!
Hello Mikaih, can you upload the image character of Wrecking Ball (Overwatch) and Brigitte (Overwatch) because most readers doesn't know what they look. thanks in advance 49.145.250.51 (talk) 00:50, 13 July 2018 (UTC)
Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:13, 18 July 2018 (UTC)

Disputed non-free use rationale for File:MultiRacingChampionshipBox.jpg
Thank you for uploading File:MultiRacingChampionshipBox.jpg.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.
ATTENTION: This is an automated, bot-generated message. This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:02, 5 August 2018 (UTC)
Hatnote replaced with "see also" entry?
I appreciate that it was four years ago, but was there a reason you replaced the dab hatnote with an entry in the "see also" section in Cognitive training?
The hatnote is how things are supposed to be done when it comes to disambiguation.

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Dragon Age II screenshot.jpg
A tag has been placed on File:Dragon Age II screenshot.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image is an unused duplicate or lower-quality copy of another file on Wikipedia having the same file format, and all inward links have been updated.
If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Pocky & Rocky series
There is an user (Namcokid47) changing the name of the series to the japanese one (KiKi KaiKai) even if it has an established translated one and putting the original name of the games in there too without any reason or discussion about it. HÊÚL. (talk) 08:13, 7 October 2018 (UTC)
- Are you for real? You attack me for not sourcing one edit yet you outright refuse to source any of your edits to the Square Enix franchises template, and get in a hissy fit when others tell you to do it? Unbelievable. Namcokid47 (talk) 14:16, 7 October 2018 (UTC)

- You didn't source your nonsense on Template:Bubble Bobble series, or the majority of your edits to Template:Square Enix franchises either.
- It was not me who edited the Bubble Bobble template. I just saw the point that other guys were discussing and reverting themselves. The edits were made two days before my first edit there. All the Square Enix franchises were sourced. HÊÚL. (talk) 14:38, 7 October 2018 (UTC)

- I've reverted your edits because you lacked sourcing. I'm doing my job. You've been here since 2006, you should know this stuff by now. But instead you've resorted to cherry picking other editors and attacking them for reverting your unsourced claims. Namcokid47 (talk) 14:52, 7 October 2018 (UTC)
- You have been reverting my edits just because it was me who did them even when I source all of them. I did not know that it was you "job". I did not attack you anytime. This is crazyness. It is you that like to oblige your point on other. HÊÚL. (talk) 14:56, 7 October 2018 (UTC)
- Explain the unsourced edits to Taito/Square Enix templates. Explain calling SergeCross my "daddy" and that I run to him when you've made unsourced claims. Explain your block evasion. This is pathetic. I'm tired of cleaning up these templates because of your edits, and I find this insulting that you think you haven't done anything wrong. You've said some rather distasteful things to me in the past, so how am I going to believe you on that? Namcokid47 (talk) 15:00, 7 October 2018 (UTC)

You are the one who did not accept edits of others on your loved ones. 6) I never said anything about you. V-Rally
Hi, for some reason I forgot to type "not". What I'm trying to say is that, in my opinion, V-Rally 3 and V-Rally 4 are irrelevant in the article because the body does not mention them. Ideally, the lead should summarize the body of the article, so if something is in the lead but not in the body then there's a problem. I could create a legacy section and mention the sequels in the body, but I think it would be offtopic. Just because V-Rally is the first game in the series doesn't mean we need to mention every single sequel in the article (e.g. Metroid (video game) does not mention every sequel). Let me know what you think. Thanks. --Niwi3 (talk) 21:09, 21 November 2018 (UTC)
- But Metroid has a series article where the sequels can be discussed, V-Rally has no series article, so the first game article should at least mention them. Maybe rename Re-releases section to Legacy and add a paragraph about the sequels. --Mika1h (talk) 21:33, 21 November 2018 (UTC)
- That's why I think it's a good idea to have the disambiguation link at the top. Anyway, I'll leave them for now and see what the GA reviewer says. --Niwi3 (talk) 22:01, 21 November 2018 (UTC)

See User:RonBot for info on how to not get these messages. External links
Hi Mika1h,
I've noticed you've been adding external links to video game related articles, for instance here, here and here. Maybe you're not aware, but GameFAQs is listed as an "inappropriate external link" at WP:VG/EL, as well as "any other commercial video game news, reviews or walkthrough sites - such links can be seen as promotion of the associated commercial sites". I would consider PCGamingWiki also inappropriate, as its goal is to apparently help PC gamers with buggy games. Just letting you know that in this edit you neglected to move the console versions of the game from the reception section and remove the "PlayStation games" category. I'd fix it myself, but since I can't personally confirm that the console versions are based on the sequel, I don't feel comfortable taking on the responsibility.--Martin IIIa (talk) 02:21, 23 January 2020 (UTC)

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Michael Cranford, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Interplay (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

Edit summaries, please
Hello. I have noticed that you often edit without using an edit summary. Please do your best to always fill in the summary field. This helps your fellow editors use their time more productively, rather than spending it unnecessarily scrutinizing and verifying your work. Even a short summary is better than no summary, and summaries are particularly important for large, complex, or potentially controversial edits. Thanks! Eric talk 16:20, 22 August 2020 (UTC)

Hey! I saw we started editing the Microsoft Flight Simulator Games at the same time and doing many of the same things! Thanks for doing that, I'll stand down and let you handle so we're not accidentally stepping on each other's edits! And thanks for spotting that I'd accidentally upload the 2.0 cover for the 1.0 game. As soon as I went to look for the 2.0 cover, I realized my mistake. Thanks again and happy new year! Movie poster
Thanks for adding the X movie poster. By any chance have you been able to find the poster of Psycho-Pass: The Movie? For some reason the article uses a keyvisual without any sort of credits common in posters. Cheers.Tintor2 (talk) 13:21, 26 March 2021 (UTC)
- From what I gather it's one of several poster designs, just without credits. See here the same image with credits: [8] --Mika1h (talk) 14:43, 26 March 2021 (UTC)
- The latter seems good considering it illustrates the two leads. Could you replace it? I have no idea what's the original source.Tintor2 (talk) 16:53, 26 March 2021 (UTC)

Röki
Hello, thanks for Röki's cover! And also for linking Röki to point-and-click adventure games, rather than just pointing and clicking :)
https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=R%C3%B6ki&diff=1057396792&oldid=1056718682
However, I think linking the "Player character" article to word "player" is not a good idea. Player character is not player, it is the character he becomes in the game, like in Röki the player becomes Tove and in "Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom" the player becomes Indiana Jones. In the phrase "In Röki, the player takes the role of Tove," it would be better to link "Player character" with "takes the role" I suppose.
Hope I am not being a nuissance. I don't like when they are changing my text, so I don't want to change yours without your acceptance. — Preceding unsigned comment added by MichalZim (talk • contribs) 06:16, 2 December 2021 (UTC)
Disputed non-free use rationale for File:Victory Games logo.jpg
Thank you for uploading File:Victory Games logo.jpg.
If it is determined that the file does not qualify under the non-free content policy, it might be deleted by an administrator seven days after the file was tagged in accordance with section F7 of the criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. – Pbrks (t • c) 05:43, 24 January 2022 (UTC)

The file File:Evil Dead logo (slashed version, red, text only).png has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
Superseded by c:File:Evil dead logo.svg.
While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.
Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}}
will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. --Minorax«¦talk¦» 11:19, 29 April 2022 (UTC)

hello, Mika1h! i had a question regarding this edit that you made in this article. i noticed that, in the edit, you had combined the lines listing the european and north american release dates together into one line under the same citation to a eurogamer source. i have tried searching through the cited eurogamer source multiple times, and admittedly have been unable to find a north american release date. were you successful? if so, where were you able to find it? dying (talk) 04:24, 16 October 2022 (UTC)

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 18:37, 2 January 2023 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading File:Tribes Ascend screenshot.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. Question
Hi! I've noticed you put the GameSpot UK archive link to External links at the main GameSpot article. Is it ok if I put the GameSpot France and GameSpot Germany links there as well? Timur9008 (talk) 10:25, 14 February 2023 (UTC)
- Sure. --Mika1h (talk) 17:58, 14 February 2023 (UTC)

Autopatrolled granted
Hi Mika1h, I just wanted to let you know that I have added the autopatrolled user right to your account. This means that pages you create will automatically be marked as 'reviewed', and no longer appear in the new pages feed. Autopatrolled is assigned to prolific creators of articles, where those articles do not require further review, and may have been requested on your behalf by someone else. It doesn't affect how you edit; it is used only to manage the workload of new page patrollers.
Since the articles you create will no longer be systematically reviewed by other editors, it is important that you maintain the high standard you have achieved so far in all your future creations. Please also try to remember to add relevant WikiProject templates, stub tags, categories, and incoming links to them, if you aren't already in the habit; user scripts such as Rater and StubSorter can help with this. As you have already shown that you have a strong grasp of Wikipedia's core content policies, you might also consider volunteering to become a new page patroller yourself, helping to uphold the project's standards and encourage other good faith article writers.
Feel free to leave me a message if you have any questions. Happy editing! Arbitrarily0 (talk) 19:01, 12 March 2023 (UTC)
