Please do not warn me again for reverting vandalism, nor undo my corrections. And please take the time to read what's actually transpiring. 2601:188:0:ABE6:2CE7:9FE7:32F1:AC2A (talk) 02:55, 2 August 2015 (UTC)
- Responded on talk page already. Again, my apologies. — JJMC89 03:00, 2 August 2015 (UTC)
- No harm done. Cheers, 2601:188:0:ABE6:2CE7:9FE7:32F1:AC2A (talk) 03:01, 2 August 2015 (UTC)
Closing AfDs
You closed Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Dorking Tye but did not log the AfD result on the pertaining talk page. I did it now, please check out how it looks. Please do log the AfD result always when you close an AfD discussion as keep, merge or redirect. Thanks. Kraxler (talk) 14:02, 2 August 2015 (UTC)
- @Kraxler: Thanks! I forgot about that. I usually use a script to close AfDs, but it doesn't work properly when the article has already been redirected prior to closing. — JJMC89 14:18, 2 August 2015 (UTC)
- That's the problem with scripts, they need double and sometimes triple checking. Kraxler (talk) 14:29, 2 August 2015 (UTC)
"Original Content"
On the page of Eric O'Flaherty, you deleted what I said and said I that I would be banned because I put "original content" when I copied what both teams tweeted verbatim. Toppernation (talk) 03:06, 5 August 2015 (UTC)
- @Toppernation: All content must be verifiable with reliable sources. You did not cite a source. — JJMC89 03:09, 5 August 2015 (UTC)
Briefs - Vandalism
Don't have time to fix it myself, but someone's IP address vandalized the article on Briefs again. 72.73.47.218 (talk) 00:54, 7 August 2015 (UTC)
- @72.73.47.218: Thanks for the heads up. The edits have been reverted. — JJMC89 01:01, 7 August 2015 (UTC)
Your userpage
I can semi-protect your userpage, indefinitely. If this were a mainspace article I would go with a month at least, but maybe you like it open. — MusikAnimal talk 21:23, 7 August 2015 (UTC)
- However I'd argue if the WP:REVDEL'able edits keep happening we'll have to semi. This is what you get for being such a good patroller! :) — MusikAnimal talk 21:25, 7 August 2015 (UTC)
- @MusikAnimal: I have no idea what brought on whatever the IP was saying since I can't see the edits and can't find any interaction between us. Please go ahead and semi-protect it indefinitely. Thanks. — JJMC89 22:14, 7 August 2015 (UTC)
hello,
i am new to wikipedia editing so i hope this message gets to you. i request that you allow my recent edit to the canfield moreno estate page. you requested a citation which i had attempted to add in my edit summary. perhaps i did it incorrectly. anyway my citation is an article from the los angeles times of april, 29, 2007.
the link to the complete article is: [1] the relevant passage is on page four and reads:
Quote

"Sometimes, she admits, even her hunches have hunches--or she just gets it wrong. It's like what happened with the Paramour, a five-acre, seen-better-days estate built in 1923 for oil heiress Daisy Canfield Danziger that had most recently been a nunnery. Hollister had hoped to convert it into a hotel or spa or both. Many of her neighbors, however, were vehemently opposed, concerned about parties, noise, traffic. Nine years later, Hollister has tossed the hotel plan but is still dreaming: "I'm trying to sit tight now--live in it, listen to it. Sort out what's best." What would Daisy do?". |

- @65.102.135.31: My apologies, I missed the url in your edit summary. In any case the citation needs to be in the article, not the edit summary. I have added the proper inline citation here. — JJMC89 03:23, 30 July 2015 (UTC)
- hi, we have been in contact before regarding this issue. i wish to report vandalism to the canfield moreno estate page. i recently edited the page to include history about the attempt to commercialize the property. at your suggestion, i added a citation from the l.a. times to back up my facts. my edit has since been removed yet again by dana1923 citing inaccuracy. i believe that dana1923 has engaged in vandalism of the page. what is my next course? thanks. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.40.26.32 (talk) 18:41, 8 August 2015 (UTC)
- @67.40.26.32: I don't think it is vandalism, but Dana1923 may have a COI. I suggest starting a discussion at Talk:Canfield-Moreno Estate to get consensus on the addition of that content. If after a week or so no one objects or replies, you can reinstate the content with a note in the edit summary that there were no objections on the talk page. — JJMC89 19:17, 8 August 2015 (UTC)

Hello! I removed the misinformation about Margaret Sanger as it included many claims that have never been verified by historians. I will continue to remove such misinformation as needed. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Naha8 (talk • contribs) 20:58, 9 August 2015 (UTC)
Editing
I am allowed to edit and delete comments I wrote on talk page aren't I? You keep sending me links but none of them refer to deleting my own comments. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Missjws (talk • contribs) 22:27, 9 August 2015 (UTC)
- @Missjws: You should not remove you own comments unless they were accidentally posted to the wrong page, which in this case they were not. See the last statement here. — JJMC89 22:35, 9 August 2015 (UTC)
Papyrus ("thin" to "thick")
This is concerning the edit of the 'Papyrus' entry (changing the word "thin" to "thick"). I had edited it once before, but Frosty, another Wiki user monitor, changed it back. (Maybe your are Frosty, just with another account.) Believing my edit was not in good faith, Frosty also reported the edit to Dspradau as possible vandalism. I made my case with Dspradau, and he agreed with me and said I could change it. Please get in touch with Dspradau if you'd like to confirm.
I also had a long back-and-forth discussion with Frosty at his talk page (User talk:Frosty#Edit on Papyrus) concerning the merits of my change. Please read the discussion if you would like more of a context. But the short of it is, the original entry used "thick" (before I had ever touch the page) as a description. Sometime later, someone else changed it to "thin". A few days earlier, while reading about papyrus I changed it to "thick", not knowing the edit history of the page. So basically, I was really only changing it to a previous state without knowing it. This, among others, is why Dspradau agreed with me.
Please change it back to "thick" because I don't want to do it myself and risk being messaged once more by another Wiki monitor. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 24.5.142.124 (talk) 23:35, 9 August 2015 (UTC)
- @24.5.142.124: After reading your dicsussion with Dspradau, I have changed it back to "thick". The revert was for the same reason that Dspradau gave you. If the edit is persistently reverted by others, start a discussion on the article's talk page. Also, I appreciate you coming here to discuss it instead of edit warring. — JJMC89 00:05, 10 August 2015 (UTC)

Hello, I received a message from you concerning an edit I made on Samir Geagea's page. I did not make any changes on that page, as far as I can remember. Could it have been another Tony Chakar? If not, Could the edit have been made by someone using my name? Thank you for taking the time to respond to my message. Tony — Preceding unsigned comment added by Tonychakar (talk • contribs) 05:36, 14 August 2015 (UTC)
- @Tonychakar: I did not leave you a message. I left a message for 37.209.254.4 (talk). If you have a shared IP, then the edit in question could have been performed by another editor. — JJMC89 16:45, 14 August 2015 (UTC)
Oops
Thanks. 99.109.125.75 (talk) 04:34, 15 August 2015 (UTC)
- The IP is probably the banned editor noted in User:Arthur Rubin/IP list. The blanking is probably due to a new browser. — Arthur Rubin (talk) 07:22, 15 August 2015 (UTC)
Delsort for video games
Heads up re: Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Sludge Crawler that video games delsorts needs to be added to the list manually – czar 00:08, 16 August 2015 (UTC)
- @Czar: Thanks for the heads up. Is there a reason that WP:WikiProject Deletion sorting/Video games isn't set up like the others? Is there a script that will work? — JJMC89 00:48, 16 August 2015 (UTC)
- I've brought it up at WT:VG because I used to delsort and thought the manual listing was a waste of time, but no one wanted to change it. I think it had something to do with wanting to keep the page in the WPVG space (that changed a while ago) and making sure that page watchers saw when new posts were added (which the delsort script does)... so it might be worth bringing up again. – czar 00:54, 16 August 2015 (UTC)
- @Czar: I don't intend to manually sort them; it would be a waste of time. I'll just not sort to VG until such a time that it is the same as the other delsort pages. I'll bring it up for discussion at WT:WPVG though. — JJMC89 02:05, 16 August 2015 (UTC)

Hello I just seen JJ Aldrich as a wikipedia page and I tried to change a few things that are not correct. like her birthday and gym she trains out of. As well as trying to add a little more information about her. I am changing it because I'm her manager/trainer/boyfriend so I take care of a lot of these kinda things about her. how can I go about getting the correct information on there? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.176.103.228 (talk) 00:56, 31 August 2015 (UTC)
