2006 Somali warlord offensive

[edit]

Hello Fontaine347. Just wanted to let you know that I believe you made a mistake when you moved 2006 Somali warlord offensive to Advance of the Islamic Courts Union (2006). Your edit summary stated change without consensus by sock 'AmirahBreen', however it was not AmirahBreen who moved the page. It was moved as the outcome of this discussion. I have gone ahead and reverted the move. If you do believe that Advance of the Islamic Courts Union (2006) is a better title, you should open a WP:RM discussion to gain consensus. March 2022

[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm GA-RT-22. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Resignation of Ratu Mara, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you! GA-RT-22 (talk) 17:41, 3 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Help with Jihadist insurgency in Niger?

[edit]

I noticed you moved the page 2021 Niger attacks to Jihadist insurgency in Niger. I support the move, but- the article still needs to be reconstructed to avoid confusion. Could you please help me expand the article to include info from before 2021? :) Dunutubble (talk) (Contributions) 13:33, 14 April 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Introduction to contentious topics

[edit]

You have recently edited a page related to the Arab–Israeli conflict, a topic designated as contentious. This is a brief introduction to contentious topics and does not imply that there are any issues with your editing.

A special set of rules applies to certain topic areas, which are referred to as contentious topics. These are specially designated topics that tend to attract more persistent disruptive editing than the rest of the project and have been designated as contentious topics by the Arbitration Committee. When editing a contentious topic, Wikipedia’s norms and policies are more strictly enforced, and Wikipedia administrators have special powers in order to reduce disruption to the project.

Within contentious topics, editors should edit carefully and constructively, refrain from disrupting the encyclopedia, and:

  • adhere to the purposes of Wikipedia;
  • comply with all applicable policies and guidelines;
  • follow editorial and behavioural best practice;
  • comply with any page restrictions in force within the area of conflict; and
  • refrain from gaming the system.

Additionally, you must be logged-in, have 500 edits and an account age of 30 days, and are not allowed to make more than 1 revert within 24 hours on a page within this topic.

Editors are advised to err on the side of caution if unsure whether making a particular edit is consistent with these expectations. If you have any questions about contentious topics procedures you may ask them at the arbitration clerks' noticeboard or you may learn more about this contentious topic here. You may also choose to note which contentious topics you know about by using the {{Ctopics/aware}} template.

Please note in particular that, until you have made 500 edits (so about 130 more) on the English Wikipedia, you are restricted from editing any article or talk page (except to make an edit request) within this topic area. SilverLocust 💬 21:11, 12 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Please do not violate WP:ECR as you did here or you will be blocked from editing. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 00:11, 5 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I didn't make any disruptive edits. I just made a good faith comment.--Fontaine347 (talk) 00:16, 5 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Please review WP:ECR. You are prohibited from making any edit that relates to the Arab/Israel conflict, broadly construed, except for edit requests on article talk pages. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 00:20, 5 October 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Hello, I'm GA-RT-22. I noticed that you added or changed content in an article, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so. You can have a look at referencing for beginners. If you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. GA-RT-22 (talk) 14:51, 17 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
