The importance of a friendly greeting

Hello and welcome to my talk page. If you want to start a new conversation, please click "New section" at the top of this page. I keep the comments that follow from July and August of 2009 readily visible, because these friendly words of greeting made me feel welcome here on Wikipedia when I first started editing. Please offer your thoughts

I would appreciate comments and suggestions on any contributions I make. I am learning.Cullen328 (talk) 03:22, 3 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Nice work on Jules Eichorn. He's been needing an article for a while.   Will Beback  talk  06:28, 31 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
If I may suggest, now that you've posted the Eichorn article the draft below might be deleted. It's your talk page to do with as you like, but it's a bit hard to edit around.
As for formatting and pictures, a good way to learn is to look around at other articles to see what you think looks best. It can be helpful to break up long blocks of text into subsections. Perhaps it'd be possible to split the biography into two or three eras. Other than that, the formatting is usually kept fairly plain. As for photos, it's easy to upload them: the trick is in finding photos with appropriate licensing. If you have any personal photos then those'd be fine. There are might be pictures of the peaks he did first ascents on in the Wikicommons. File:Cathedral Peak.png is a so-so pic of Eichorn Pinnacle.
As before, feel free to ask if you have any questions. There are several editors here who are mountaineers or just admirers of the Sierra, so you're in good company.   Will Beback  talk  21:13, 31 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
PS: Many editors create "sandbox" pages for drafting articles. For example, User talk:Cullen328/Sandbox.   Will Beback  talk  00:17, 1 August 2009

Your climber biographies

Hey Jim, just wanted to say welcome and thanks for your contributions to the Sierra Nevada climbing history articles. You're filling a niche that's been missing here, I look forward to working with you. --Justin (talk) 11:54, 27 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I'll second that. Nice work on Allen Steck and welcome to Wikipedia. I don't know who you are planning to write up next but if your taking requests I think Peter Croft (climber) could really use a page. If you ever have any questions please ask. Thanks again for your great additions.--OMCV (talk) 02:25, 29 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Justin and OMCV. I am beginning work on Tom Frost and Glen Dawson. Comments on Norman Clyde would be welcomed. I will defintely read up on Peter Croft, OMCV. I am still "learning the ropes" in Wikipedia, to use a climbing analogy, and have all sorts of things in mind. My biggest challenge right now is getting permission to use images. My next biggest challenge is hiking to the top of Mt. Whitney with my wife in ten days - she's never been above 12,000 feet except for the train ride up Pikes Peak. As she's 56 and developing arthritis in her toes, it will be an accomplishment if she (and I) complete the Class 1 feat. Jim Heaphy (talk) 02:34, 29 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Request of Help on "Just the Facts" Tone

[edit]

Hi Jim,

I am very new to Wikipedia. I got your feedback on the draft article located under PhoCoHaNoi. Thanks so much for your comments. I would greatly appreciate if you would spare some valuable time to highlight those parts from the draft that I need to pay close attentions to regarding the aspect that you raised. I know it would be a long shot to ask if you would even consider providing specific examples by directly editing them on the draft.

Lastly, I still do not know on how to submit the revision for review. I do not see any obvious buttons or pull-down menus from the Sandbox setting that would be able to allow to submit the article for review.

Thank you so much.

PhoCoHaNoi

Hello, PhoCoHaNoi. I am not going to edit the draft myself, because I want this to be a learning exercise for you. Here are a few examples of unacceptable wording:
  • "celebrating the 73-year history of outstanding men and women"
  • "pioneering contributions"
  • "sustained leadership and strategic vision"
  • "Exceptional services to innovation ecosystem"
  • "stimulating small business innovation, meeting the Air Force and DoD R&D needs, broadening participation in innovation and entrepreneurship, and boosting commercialization"
  • " So, as Dr. Pham looked back now, he brought systems-theoretic science and control engineering principles, together with teamwork and interdisciplinary to bear fruition in solving warfighter engineering problems, various areas of specific focus for increased activities in space control autonomy and space domain awareness."
It is not the job of a Wikipedia editor (you) to praise a person. Every trace of this non-neutral language must be removed. A Wikipedia article should never say "Person A is great!" Instead, it should say "Reliable source C reports that Expert B says that Person A is great", along with a reference to Reliable source C.
As for how to submit your draft, I will explain that when the draft complies with the neutral point of view. Cullen328 Let's discuss it

Sending Messages to Other Editors

[edit]

Hi Jim. I will deeply appreciate anything that you can do to help. How can I find out about other editors and send them messages? I recently looked for an article about The Italian Coffee Company that I had read years ago. However, I could not find it. I believe that this article should be available. I am a new editor and I have a big learning curve ahead of me. Maybe you can post to my talk page. I am user Mojosa17. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Request page protection

[edit]

November 2024

Hi, Admin, I need your help to request protection for the page El Tocuyo, a city in Venezuela. It appears that rampant vandalism has disrupted the article. Additionally, a new section about "El Tocuyo Awards" has been added. While there may be verified sources for this section, the content is not aligned with the page’s purpose. The section focuses on a beauty pageant-related topic, which is not relevant to an article about a geographical location. This content should ideally be separated into its own article. To provide some background, the "El Tocuyo Award" emerged during Miss Universe 2016, when Miss Venezuela, Mariam Habach, failed to place despite being a strong candidate. In pageant parlance, "el tocuyo" refers to a frontrunner who unexpectedly fails to advance in a competition. In local gay slang, this is described as a candidate going from highly favored to becoming a "luz valdez." The term originated after Habach, who hails from the town of El Tocuyo, was eliminated. Since then, pageant fans have used the term to describe similar occurrences. I believe the "El Tocuyo Awards" topic should have its own page to avoid confusion and maintain the integrity of the article about the city. Thank you for your attention to this matter. 🌼𝓡𝓬 𝓡𝓪𝓶𝔃🍁 (talk) 18:55, 15 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Rc ramz. I see no recent vandalism. The beauty pageant-related content is not vandalism. Vandalism is a deliberate attempt to damage the encyclopedia. This is a content dispute, and the proper place to discuss it is at Talk:El Tocuyo. So, I will not protect that article. Cullen328 (talk) 23:55, 15 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, Admin, I recently deleted the pageant related El Tocuyo Awards as per MOS:SCOPE. 🌼𝓡𝓬 𝓡𝓪𝓶𝔃🍁 (talk) 08:15, 16 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Rc ramz, yes, I already noticed that. But above, you wrote This content should ideally be separated into its own article. What steps have you taken to preserve this beauty pageant-related content? Cullen328 (talk) 08:44, 16 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Rc ramz, please also explain why you have thusfar failed to explain your concerns at Talk:El Tocuyo like I recommended above? Do you object to article talk page discussion? Cullen328 (talk) 08:50, 16 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I do have plans to rewrite to have separate page but as of the moment I gather as much information, references for the said article and maybe publish under stub-class since yes it was in the category of beauty pageant but its like the hoaxes or the right term was PARODY in beauty pageant. And because as of the moment I work 2 to 4 articles mostly editions and main one. 🌼𝓡𝓬 𝓡𝓪𝓶𝔃🍁 (talk) 09:40, 16 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Clarification Regarding Los Olvidados Page and Security Concerns

[edit]

Hello Cullen328

I wanted to clarify a few things and seek your help regarding the Los Olvidados (punk band) page. I have been working on improving that page, but I noticed that my edits were recently reverted. Upon reflection, I believe the edits I made were legitimate, and I was attempting to replace the redirect with accurate content that reflects the band's history and contributions. Could you please provide further clarification on the issue?

Additionally, I’ve noticed some suspicious activity related to my account, and I wanted to make you aware of it. It seems there may have been some edits made that weren’t from me, which could indicate a potential security breach. I have since updated my password and taken other measures to secure my account.

Could you kindly assist me in understanding the situation and help ensure that my edits can be reviewed and restored appropriately? I appreciate your guidance in moving forward.

Thank you for your time and assistance.

Best regards,

ATXHustle ATXHustle (talk) 22:07, 16 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, ATXHustle. Your edit about the punk band was entirely unreferenced, which violates Verifiability, a core content policy. Content like Known for their raw energy and biting social commentary, they carved out a unique space in the underground punk scene of the Bay Area raises the question, who says so? That type of writing violates another core content policy, the Neutral point of view. Which edits from your account were not made by you? Cullen328 (talk) 22:35, 16 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Dave Plummer

[edit]

The quack I am hearing is a lot like the quack of the Dave Plummer Troll, especially the assumption that a press release by a prosecutor is a reliable source establishing guilt, but for some strange reason a press release by a defense attourney isn't a reliable source for the person being innocent. Do you think a topic ban would be apopropriate here? -Guy Macon Alternate Account (talk) 03:53, 17 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Guy Macon Alternate Account. The reference added was a Forbes article not a press release. I do not see the relevance of a defense attorney's press release to this specific matter at this time, though I am aware that you have made that defense attorney's press release argument several times. The glaring weakness of the Forbes piece is that is it is almost entirely about another company and mentions one of Plummer's companies in passing at the very end. To me, the fundamental BLP issue that is of great concern to me is the ongoing attempts to portray Plummer as a criminal. I am prepared to block any editor who tries that. But the recent edits do not try to do that. I am 100% in favor of your pursuit of accuracy but to be frank, I do not consider conflating of a Plummer owned .com with a Plummer owned LLC to be anywhere near as significant and problematic as attempts to call Plummer a criminal. So, I need better evidence of current ongoing disruption to start handing out blocks and topic bans, not one mediocre edit nearly two weeks after I semi-protected the article. Cullen328 (talk) 05:39, 17 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Fair enough. I will try to adjust my hair trigger to be less sensative (smile). --Guy Macon Alternate Account (talk) 19:15, 18 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

RevDel request

[edit]

Hi Cullen - seeing as you appear to be actively editing, would you be willing to RevDel the two edits that I reverted from the page history at Ellie Carpenter? A new account posted inappropriate images to this BLP, and I believe deleting the revisions is warranted. Thank you. Altamel (talk) 07:57, 17 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Done. Thanks for reporting this, Altamel. I have revision deleted the two edits and indefinitely blocked the editor. What a creep. Cullen328 (talk) 08:09, 17 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! Voting in the 2024 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23:59 (UTC) on Monday, 2 December 2024. All eligible users are allowed to vote. Users with alternate accounts may only vote once.

The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2024 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. If you no longer wish to receive these messages, you may add {{NoACEMM}} to your user talk page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 00:25, 19 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

User:Mackeyedits keeps making the same exact edits (adding uncited membership information about their organization, the Machapunga Tribe of North Carolina, which only has a Facebook page with 15 followers) to the Machapunga page. Back in September, you said you could semi-protect if problems persisted, which now they have. I pinged you on the talk page a couple of days ago. Is there anything that can be done about User:Mackeyedits? Thanks for your time. Yuchitown (talk) 18:36, 20 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Yuchitown. Since the editor is close to being autoconfirmed, I do not think that semi-protection would help much. Instead, I pageblocked Mackeyedits from Machapunga, although the editor is free to make edit requests at Talk: Machapunga. Sorry that I did not respond to your ping. Question from S31banko (05:32, 25 November 2024)

[edit]

How do I create my own article about a rapper? --S31banko (talk) 05:32, 25 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, S31banko. Spend several weeks making edits to improve existing articles, and learning how Wikipedia works. Study articles about other rap and hip hop performers that are rated Good articles and Featured articles to see how they are referenced and written, and what will be expected of you.
Examples of Good articles include Kendrick Lamar and Sean Combs and Positive Black Soul and Beyoncé and Chief Keef and Alesha Dixon and DJ Kool Herc and Dr. Dre and Drake (musician) and Eazy-E and Lauryn Hill and Kesha and Lil Ugly Mane and M.I.A. (rapper) and Sharissa and Timbaland and Vanilla Ice.
Featured articles, which are our very best, include Aaliyah and The Notorious B.I.G. and DJ AM. You should strive for the quality of these articles, and in particular, you should pay attention to the references to the reliable sources at the end of each of those articles. The references are the backbone of an acceptable article.
Read and study Your first article. You can start assembling a list of published reliable, independent sources that devote significant coverage to the rapper in question. Referencing for beginners explains how to properly format them. Once you have assembled your references, you can start writing prose that summarizes them. Good luck. Request page protection

[edit]

Hi Admin, good day. I'm writing this letter to request protection for the page on Miss Planet International, as it has been targeted by vandals who are repeatedly making disruptive edits. To provide some context, the competition was recently held and has become a controversial topic. This is especially due to reports of contestants physically hurting each other during the event, stemming from misunderstandings. Some individuals from other countries have made unconstructive edits, such as changing "Indonesia" to "Indognesia" (a derogatory term). Miss Planet International has become a focal point of their frustrations, particularly following the announcement of a new titleholder. Unfortunately, I am unable to undo the recent unconstructive edits as I do not have the necessary permissions. While I have managed to address some edits, it is very challenging when multiple vandals work together. Even when I tag the page as "in use" to avoid edit conflicts, they seem to disregard it. I have also left warnings on their talk pages, but they do not seem to take them seriously. Thank you for your assistance. 🌼𝓡𝓬 𝓡𝓪𝓶𝔃🍁 (talk) 18:08, 27 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Rc ramz. I do not see enough recent vandalism to justify protection. You need to start using edit summaries so that an administrator can investigate what caused you to "revert vandalism" for example. Provide a diff of the "Indognesia" vandalism and I will either warn or block that editor. Please be aware that I will be editing less often in the next few days because of the Thanksgiving holiday in the United States. Cullen328 (talk) 20:09, 27 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, here's the recent edit about the "Indognesia" dog a a deregatory term among pageant fans to certain country by unregistered account. Thank you admin for ur urgent response, greatly appreciated. 🌼𝓡𝓬 𝓡𝓪𝓶𝔃🍁 (talk) 01:11, 28 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Rc ramz, I have indefinitely blocked that IP from editing Miss Planet International. Cullen328 (talk) 03:29, 28 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thank you admin for taking action and keep things under control regarding this edits matter. 🌼𝓡𝓬 𝓡𝓪𝓶𝔃🍁 (talk) 04:32, 28 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hi, Admin as of now its so frustrating that when I currently checked the page again vandals started again you can check it yourself and the page is now distorted in titleholder section to edition and its like the unregistered account playing to make it fun and I'm not going to revert that now as I don't have the power to do so you can decide of what's the solution whether to protect it or not just to avoid unregistered account from disrupting the page... even the citation I provided with Indonesia has been deleted which from IDN Times an Indonesian news media outlet...hope you can help again in this matter. Thank you. 🌼𝓡𝓬 𝓡𝓪𝓶𝔃🍁 (talk) 06:39, 28 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
The editors has frustrations about the results that it was rigged and in pageant terminology "cooking show" so they are editing without knowing the rules and policies here in Wikipedia and what this community stands for... 🌼𝓡𝓬 𝓡𝓪𝓶𝔃🍁 (talk) 06:49, 28 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Rc ramz, you do have the ability to revert disruptive edits to the article. Simply go to the article history, find the most recent OK version, click on that and save it. Problem solved. As for me, I have ZERO interest in beauty pageants and have no idea what rigging and "cooking show" actually means in this context although it sounds like cheating. I assume that various forms of cheating are commonplace in this type of event rife with boosterism, promotionalism and sexualization. As an adminstrator, I will help prevent vandalism and disruptive editing. As an ordinary editor, I do not care about beauty pageants in the slightest, so please do not expect me to get involved with the content. Cullen328 (talk) 07:42, 28 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]
ok thank you I'll do that. 🌼𝓡𝓬 𝓡𝓪𝓶𝔃🍁 (talk) 08:09, 28 November 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Protected Teahouse

[edit]

Hello, Jim. I saw that you were a host on the Teahouse, and that you were open for questions. I am a new user, and had a few questions about this.

First, when talking about pseudoscience, do we say that it is false, or that it is unscientific? Though they seem similar, they are not the same. I thought, perhaps incorrectly, that Wikipedia asks you not to say pseudoscience is objectively false but rather it is rejected by most scientists.

Next question: why is the teahouse protected? I apologize if this seems like a complaint, but it is supposed to be for new users, who cannot access it once it is protected. Is there a way to reverse this, or at least ask the question somewhere else?

Thank you so much. I would really appreciate your answers. Lenderthrond (talk) 00:19, 1 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Lenderthrond. Wikipedia articles summarize what the preponderance of reliable sources say about a topic. So, if reliable sources extensively say that some notion is false, then so too will the Wikipedia article. If reliable sources extensively say that some notion is unscientific, then so too will the Wikipedia article. Maybe both. If reliable sources disagree, then the Wikipedia article will reflect and summarize that disagreement.
As for the semi-protection of the Teahouse, that is sad but necessary. The current semi-protection lasts only six hours. The fact of the matter is that there is a highly motivated troll operating in the past few months who despises Wikipedia as a whole and a certain group of administrators, including me, in particular. That group has been subject to very frequent and intense and dedicated profane attacks including death threats and lengthy diatribes for months. I have a very thick skin and can separate credible death threats from deranged ranting. Other victims may lack those skills. It is very disruptive. This pathetic person uses the Teahouse and various administrative noticeboards for maximum visibility, necessitating semi-protection. I wish this person would get another hobby or get therapy, but as long as they continue their attacks, brief semi-protection will be required from time to time. Cullen328 (talk) 03:04, 1 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello Jim! I have drafted an article (my first ever) and have been advised that the draft needs substantial changes made (fair enough). How can I engage your services? Kind regards, Stephen Walter Stephen Walter 2024 (talk) 23:40, 1 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Stephen Walter 2024. This is about Draft:John Haber, which was speedy deleted because the page "seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, group, product, service, person, or point of view". That indicates very serious problems with your draft. As I say on my user page, "I do some training and consulting about editing off-Wikipedia, but do not engage in any paid editing on Wikipedia."
You should start by reading the Neutral point of view which forbids any promotional editing and Verifiability which requires that content summarize reliable published sources. Also read the notability guideline for people and WP:Your first article. Those links should give you all the information you need. If you believe that you need training and consulting services at that point, contact me off-Wikipedia. Cullen328 (talk) 00:43, 2 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks Cullen. I should have noted that when I left this message as I had not forgotten it. Best, Barkeep49 (talk) 18:09, 2 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Yes, Ad Orientem, I have already read your post and will both do some additional research and collect my thoughts before commenting. I now remember trying to explain basic behavioral norms to that person. Cullen328 (talk) 04:38, 8 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Question about conduct of an admin editor

[edit]

Should I continue to try to talk to an admin on their user page if they pasted Template:Archive at the top of my comment on their user page, effectively blocking me from replying? I think they are being uncivil in article talk pages and I tried talking to them on their talk page about it. The admin literally said "nasty and suspicious" as a complete sentence in their comment and then applied the template with an explanation of "enough of this". I feel like I need a neutral set of eyes on this conversation and some advice.

They have a statement on their user page: "Rejoice when your callow opponent posts to your mature, well-watched User Talk page: the bat signal is now aloft." The admin has been on Wikipedia for 18 years and I am a newcomer trying to suggest changes that the admin has labeled as Wikipedia:PROFRINGE. I realize that my edits on articles might deserve to be reverted, but is it normal for admins to behave like this? Thanks. Lardlegwarmers (talk) 21:35, 8 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Bon courage is not an admin.--Bbb23 (talk) 21:47, 8 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, Lardlegwarmers, as Bbb23 pointed out, Bon courage is not an administrator. I agree that the response you got was rude. As for whether it is normal, that is difficult to quantify. Editors who spend a lot of time on controversial fringe topics are often known to be curt and dismissive with editors they perceive, rightly or wrongly, as pro-fringe. The article in question has been subject to massive disruption for years, and people get jaded. As for trying to discuss the matter on that editor's talk page, that is a bad idea. Any editor is permitted to ask other editors to stay off their talk page. Honor their request, with the exception of formal notices required by policy. Cullen328 (talk) 22:01, 8 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks. It seems like I could:
1) Avoid topics where this editor is active (let him win)
2) Post a formal notice on their page, or
3) Proceed as is and accept that so-and-so makes rude comments once in awhile.
I will admit that I am actually pro-fringe, in the sense that I don't trust the scientific authorities that Wikipedia relies upon in this particular domain. Maybe I'll just let Wikipedia be what it is and look for a different place to try to set the record straight. Lardlegwarmers (talk) 23:07, 8 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Lardlegwarmers, as for #1, this is not a competition with winners and losers. It is a project to summarize what the best reliable sources say about various topics. As for #2, the formal notice must be specifically required by policy, which does not seem to be the case here, so please do not do that. As for trying to set the record straight, please read Wikipedia:What Wikipedia is not, and especially Righting great wrongs. If scientific acceptance of the lab leak theory changes significantly, then so too will Wikipedia's coverage of that theory. If you do not trust mainstream science, then it is exceptionally difficult to contribute in that topic area. There is always the option of contributing regarding less controversial topics such asteroids and butterflies and the history of your home town and so on. Personally, I rarely make major contribtions to highly controversial topics although I occasionally offer a few words of advice. Cullen328 (talk) 00:28, 9 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Seeking assist in WP:ANI

[edit]

Hey there. Am wondering if you could help take a look at this case. Said IP address has persisted with disruptive behaviour and personal attacks, and I do think such behaviour is really unbecoming of an editor. Thank you! hundenvonPG (talk) 07:46, 9 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

HundenvonPenang, I think the other editors commenting there have the matter under control. I have nothing to add at this time. Cullen328 (talk) 07:52, 9 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
HundenvonPenang, after checking out the personal attack, I warned the IP editor. Cullen328 (talk) 08:00, 9 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks Cullen328. Will see how this goes, as I believe it's not the end yet. hundenvonPG (talk) 08:55, 9 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Hey Cullen328, said IP address in Talk:List of tallest buildings in Johor Bahru appears to have used much ad hominem language and accused me of "creating some statistics on my own like the claimed 'second largest agglomeration' fraud".
I fully doubt if that IP address has any intention of keeping arguments civil. hundenvonPG (talk) 09:33, 9 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I was saying that I am not making up any statistics on my own, why is there a need to overthink? @Cullen328, I suggest you go and read the discussion page, he is taking some words out of context apprarently. Also, I didn't accuse you of saying I was being disruptive initially, do you think the word 'disruptive' is civil to use? 155.69.190.63 (talk) 09:39, 9 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Out of context?
Ill-founded accusations of "fraud"? Based on what? He says, she says, you say? hundenvonPG (talk) 09:46, 9 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Please stop taking things out of context, more importantly, @Cullen328 the user still didn't reply on the talk page. 155.69.190.63 (talk) 09:47, 9 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
"creating some statistics on my own like the claimed 'second largest agglomeration' fraud"
Then who wrote this? Taking out of context? hundenvonPG (talk) 09:50, 9 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I genuinely do not think that accusing me that I am being disruptive is a civil word to use for anyone, especially you never initiated the discussion in the talk page in the very beginning and without any substantiated evidences. 155.69.190.63 (talk) 09:45, 9 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Look who's talking about "civil".
"You seem to have pretend not to see it due to some inferiority complex"
"This is indeed very sad and is a type of inferiority complex. I feel you."
"Civil", indeed. hundenvonPG (talk) 09:47, 9 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Initially you were the one saying I am disruptive right, way before the "inferiority complex", when I was just trying to state a fact? 155.69.190.63 (talk) 09:48, 9 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
"State a fact"? With no reliable sourcing? What fact?
Completely disregarding WP:EDIT, and WP is supposed to take your patterns as not disruptive? hundenvonPG (talk) 09:52, 9 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Also, WP:HOUNDING. hundenvonPG (talk) 09:55, 9 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

HundenvonPenang and IP, my talk page is completely the wrong place for the two of you to argue about trivialities. Stop it. Cullen328 (talk) 16:40, 9 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you, and Sorry!

Question from Mrs.Austin2025 (04:47, 14 December 2024)

[edit]

Hey how do I start a biography for someone --Mrs.Austin2025 (talk) 04:47, 14 December 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Mrs.Austin2025. Spend a few weeks making minor improvements to existing uncontroversial articles, like the history of your home town or some hobby that you have. Familiarize yourself with Wikipedia's Policies and guidelines, especially the three core content policies, Verifiability and the Neutral point of view and No original research. Read and study Your first article and then read and study the Notabilty guideline for people. Ask yourself at this point, "Does this person really meet that guideline?" It is also a good idea to read and study an essay Wikipedia:Writing Wikipedia articles backward which describes one of the most common mistakes that new editors make. Good luck!
