Speedy deletion nomination of Amos Frumkin
[edit]You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles. See the Article Wizard.
A tag has been placed on Amos Frumkin requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.
If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}}
to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.
For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this.
Please take a look at WP:PROF; if Dr. Frumkin meets these criteria, would you please add more references/etc? thanks! ErikHaugen (talk) 18:03, 6 January 2010 (UTC)
As this article's title does not meet our neutral point of view policy at WP:NPOV I have started a discussion at Wikipedia:Neutral_point_of_view/Noticeboard#10th-century_city_wall.2C_Jerusalem. Dougweller (talk) 18:57, 23 February 2010 (UTC)

DYK for Jezreel (city)
[edit]On July 9, 2010, Did you know? was updated with a fact from the article Jezreel (city), which you created or substantially expanded. You are welcome to check how many hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, quick check ) and add it to DYKSTATS if it got over 5,000. If you know of another interesting fact from a recently created article, then please suggest it on the Did you know? talk page. |

Hi Broad Wall! Re your recently-created page on rock-cut tombs, there's a similar article on sepulchres, which is very heavily biased to just one locality and it occurred to me that, rather than have two articles on quite similar themes, you might consider improving that article by including your material there. Just a suggestion! Regards Jimmy Pitt talk 12:29, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
- I see what you mean, and your proposed re-titling of Sepulchre seems a good idea. You can do this yourself with a simple move -- go to sepulchre and click on the "move" tab at the top of the page; this will bring up a new page, where you can enter a new name for the article and give a reason for the change. I could do it for you, but you might find it useful to learn how to do it yourself -- if you have any questions feel free to ask. Jimmy Pitt talk 12:48, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
- That's odd! I know that only autoconfirmed users can do page moves, but I'd have thought the number of edits you've done would have pushed you up to autoconfirmed. In the circumstances, I'll do the move using Rock-cut tombs in ancient Israel as the new title and leave you to take it from there. Jimmy Pitt talk 13:00, 13 July 2010 (UTC)
Hi Broadwall, I saw some wording in the article about the "Tomb of the Pharaoh's Daughter" which sounded almost 'weasel word-ish' in attributing the lack of care of the tomb to the involvement of Israeli settlers. The photo accompanying the text appears to back up the statement. However, another photo appearing here http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/File:City_of_david2.jpg shows the tomb within a larger context. In that photo, the building next to the tomb appears to be a Palestinian home, and while there are buildings that suggest Israeli habitation in the shot, there also are buildings that appear to be in Palestinian possession. Given Silwan's unfortunate political situation, I feel it's very important to really be careful about maintaining a NPOV. Thanks! 174.70.120.166 (talk) 02:01, 24 July 2010 (UTC)

Hezekiah's Tunnel
[edit]If not in Silwan, where? Chesdovi (talk) 13:34, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
- It runs form Kidron to siloam pool under the City of David. Silwan was uninhabited until the early Christin monks moved into the tombs. And lay entirely on the eastern slope of the valley, farming villagers not wanting to build on the arable valley floor.Broad Wall (talk) 13:40, 14 July 2010 (UTC)
- As today it lies under expanded Silwan, this info should be placed in the appropriate place. Chesdovi (talk) 13:51, 14 July 2010 (UTC)

[edit]Please help me. I added footnote number 15, but with "edit" I have a problem with: {{cite.....}. When I just copy what everyone did, something goes wrong in the article itself (title, etc.).
