i want help for creating wikipidea page

Hi. This is ameer shirolkar, i am youtuber, singer, singing in 17 languages, member of mensa. I had youtube channel named "GOOGLE GENIUS SINGING" and Google page Named "MASTER AMEER SHIROLKAR" .i am an notable celebtity in india, can you create my wikipidea page. For sources and references search MASTER AMEER SHIROLKAR on google to find all information, images, videos, news, links — Preceding unsigned comment added by Ameeranmir (talkcontribs) 08:06, 22 July 2017 (UTC)

Hello @Ameeranmir: I am sorry to say but wikipedias policies doesn't permits Page about yourself if you are not notable. As you mentioned that you are a Youtube singer, all I can suggest you is to keep working-hard and become notable. I searched about you on internet but couldn't find a coverage about you.

As this is any encyclopedia any information we add here we have to cite sources before adding ny content for example you cannot simply write that "Messi is a footballer" in Leoniel Messi's page

You have to write like this Messi is a footballer<ref>"Your information source website address here"</ref>

I believe you are here to only create any article about you so I would suggest you to keep working hard in your life and sing any popular song and upload on YouTube. Keep on doing this and one-day you would become notable/famous. And media you provide coverage about you. Then feel free to come to me or any editor they would love to create an article about you.

Please read about your first Article creation guidelines here if you want to learn page creation

And if you directly want to create an article about other notable subject then you can visit the article creation page here] follow step by step instructions and remember to cite sources. If you create article about non-notable (notability is lower standard than popularity) person it may be deleted.

As you are only here to write about yourself dear, I would suggest you to keep working hard and uploading popular songs video sung by you on YouTube. It will make you notable. And there are millions of editors here, some one would surely write about you. But if you will write an article about yourself on Wikipedia it maybe deleted as you are currently not notable

I would strongly suggest you to go to Google blogs, it too has visibility on search engines. You can write as much about yourself there. Thank you for reaching out to me

Speedy deletion tagging

Hi Anoptimistix, thank you for your hard work. This is just a heads-up that you need to be more careful when you tag articles for speedy deletion. Chlewiska, Siedlce County, which you first tried to redirect and then speedy tagged as a duplicate of Chlewiska, Szydłowiec County, is not a duplicate article - those are two different places, both called Chlewiska, and located in different counties of Poland. Thus, it should neither be deleted nor redirected. Earlier you had tagged Aholanvaara for speedy deletion as a nonsense article, but that was not appropriate because "nonsense" refers to patent nonsense, total gibberish with no coherence - as soon as you can understand what the text means, it's not eligible for deletion as nonsense.

It can be hard to tag articles for speedy deletion appropriately, because the criteria are very specific and quite narrow. I know you are editing in good faith, but unfortunately, using inappropriate CSD tags can cause difficulties. The creators get misleading comments on their user talk pages which can be confusing for a new user, and it can cause unnecessary irritation as well. Please look very closely at the speedy deletion criteria before you CSD-tag more articles. Thanks! --bonadea contributions talk 20:38, 26 July 2017 (UTC) @Bonadea: Hi Thank you for cautioning me. I accept that i should not have tag Aholanvaara, but at the time I was patrolling many pages so didn't got time for a Google search and the article of Aholanvaara had confusing tone to understand at the time I tagged it. Later when I realised that it's a village I also added first reference at that article to prevent it from deletion in future. And about Chlewiska,as the first name of both the articles we're similar,it seemed to me at first to be similar articles and I sought redirect not deletion, I was going up to Requested moves rather than CSD, but the requested moves has hugebacklog. So I left a note to admins after tagging it to CSD, on talk page requesting that the article of Chlewiska should be redirected not deleted as it may disappoint new contributor who created that article. Don't take this too seriously. Someone just wants to let you know that you did something silly.

You might want to take a quick look at WP:INVOLVED. If you ever go for RfA you will get dinged for something like this. Anyways no harm no foul and I don't doubt good faith here. -Ad Orientem (talk) 20:52, 27 July 2017 (UTC)

@Ad Orientem: @Deacon Vorbis: Apology for the late reply. Guys when you started discussion in my geographic area it was midnight, so I was asleep. As of know I saw the debate is been closed and I agree with the arguments that I did it in good-for-nothing and should not have been involved. Yes it was good-faith edits by me, at the AfD there were no participants active there except the nominator proposing the deletion. I should should have to relist it, but I gave a second thought and searched about the topic on internet and upon research believed it as a notable article which surely needs a lot of copyediting, and improvements. I introduced references and and wrote few sentences explaining the concept, as it was late night when I was doing it, I thought about keeping the article and continue improving it next day. And thanks dear Ad orientem for that Rfa one, RfA requires lots of years of experience by editor but it has only been an year I am here, I am happy patrolling new pages, creating articles and adding new content on existing articles and bringing nominations of frequent article creating editors for Autopatrolled rights at perm, welcoming new users and reviewing pending changes and other important works here. I recently starting participating at AfD to save worthy articles from deletion, as last year when I joined there were 10 million articles now there are 5 million. I fear there won't be any article from few days from now. Anyways thank you guys for gently cautioning me, I will surely take care next time when I close an Afd. Have a lovely day. Anoptimistix Let's Talk 03:03, 28 July 2017 (UTC)

Where did you see the number 10 million articles? A year ago there were 5.2 million articles, now there are 5.4 million. There have never been more articles in English Wikipedia than there are now. Here are the statistics. So you don't need to worry about that :-) --bonadea contributions talk 09:32, 28 July 2017 (UTC)
Yup, no need to worry. :) I am not sure where did you read that the half the articles got deleted. The number of articles is increasing faster than ever before.
Assuming goodfaith is a good thing, but (to me) it feels like sometimes you do it too much. Once you reviewed an article, and didnt nominated it for deletion with reasoning (loosely quoting) "creator has put a lot of energy/time in it". The article was eligible for speedy.
But you are certainly a good editor. With time, you will become very good one. :) —usernamekiran(talk) 14:11, 28 July 2017 (UTC)

@Usernamekiran: Thank you dear Kiran for your lovely comment. "That creator had put a lot of time and energy in the article" comment was not needed I totally understand. It was one my first experience as a new page reviewer. The sole purpose was editor retention, as getting initial contribution deleted may discourage those good people in editing Wikipedia in future. Dear Kiran, I have nominated many test pages for deletion at CSD and it was successful further I have also introduced references as well as relevant content to save worthy articles from deletion in future. The pleasure that I get by helping newbies cannot be expressed in words. The basic problem is that the official editing help pages for beginners as well as citing sources guide are too complex and difficult to understand for newbies, and the excessive and mass template tagging may fear and discourage newbies as you can see from a message by newbie below. These things drives away newbies. Already Many people don't know that Wikipedia can be edited, some good people who want to contribute are driven away by mass tagging and deletion of their articles as well as unsourced content (as citing sources guide is difficult to understand). I hope wikimedia foundation fixes these issues and place popups of account creation which can encourage reader to become editor and allow a bot to automatically welcome new users with simple policies , that are easy to understand. And by the way once again thanks for your lovely comment Anoptimistix Let's Talk 15:09, 28 July 2017 (UTC)

@Shalanirajput: Hi ! Thanks for coming here. User:PRehse have added notability and reliable sources tag at Neelansh Koshta, it surely requires copyedits please read WP:MOS and WP:Copyedit. But Your article does have reliable sources by Hindustan Times and Indian Express so reliable sources should not be a concern, I think respected senior editor PRehse may not be aware with the Reliability of Indian media sources. The person Neelansh Koshta also has won medal at Olympics so notability should not be a concern. You can talk with that editor on their talk page. You can also approach Help page for help related to editing (Other editors will help you here). Next time when you create article about sportmens, cricketers etc make sure it meets any of the criteria mentioned here. For basic notability policy visit this page. Happy to help. Anoptimistix Let's Talk 15:42, 28 July 2017 (UTC)

I just replaced the reliable sources tag since the article is still riddled with them - but of more note is the notability tag. It requires a bit of care but the subject never competed in the olympics much less won anything - just some obscure hyper-named non-ntable competition.PRehse (talk) 15:53, 28 July 2017 (UTC)

Aholanvaara heat record

When will the finnish heat record be confirmed?

Selim Acar

Unfortunately, in this case, TurkishWikipedia is highly different in their standards and, actually, we've been labeled as always having the highest and that accompanies the fact advertising occurs here the highest than all other Wikipedias. Also, there are numerous concerns in the article, (1) there's a clear COI connection in the user, (2) the article is promotional with the sources not being significant apart from announcements or notices (worse when this currently has strong chances of being paid for) and (3) it seems to be WP:COATRACKing for a non-existent company article, of which wouldn't be accepted if promotionalism is still the cause for it being here. SwisterTwister talk 05:18, 30 July 2017 (UTC)

@SwisterTwister: Thanks for coming on my talk page, I had removed that uncontroversial PROD tag because the article of Selim Acar seemed notable as it already had a wikipage at Turkish Wikipedia. Yes I agree the author may have created that article as they may had any conflict of interest, This may be because editors here are least bother to create aricles about notable people belonging from Non-english countries. I am sure there might be at least 100 million notable people from Africa, Asia and other countries but we have hardly have less than 5 million articles about notable people from all over the world, this encourages paid and conflict of interest editing by their employees. Underdeveloped countries and less civilised countries do not have reputed and reliable media agencies to collect information about different subjects and thus we don't have enough reliable sources or coverages to create articles. However if you want to replace the tag of PROD, you are free to do so Anoptimistix Let's Talk 05:35, 30 July 2017 (UTC)

  • It's actually a good practice we maintain the highest standards compared to the others though, since we're the one highest visited, therfore we have higher expectations to make it as neutral as we can. It is a recognizable issue that other countries have no establishment in some areas such as significant coverage or the quality of it, but it would still be all about maintaining the meaning of NPOV. Also, relevant to the other wikis scenario, Wikipedia:Why_was_the_page_I_created_deleted?#If_all_else_fails.2C_try_another_wiki explains how we are not the single possibility in an article or the only place; other wikis have by choice undertaken lenient notability standards than us. For example, I know nearly every European Wiki has maintained lenient standards and especially more lenient as you go farther East into Asia, since their media establishments works differently. It's unlikely the number of 100 million notable people in Africa would be that high, since we would only want the ones with the highest quality of news, and "multiple coverage in independent sources" so that obviously would narrow it to a selective number, instead of the contary: Accepting all with any single one news. In other countries, it may be a significant achievement of even 1 news article but since our WP:Notability requires multiple, that would also contribute to narrowing a fewer number of acceptances. Actually, as far I as know, we are the only Wiki with the highest enforcement of requiring paid disclosure (certainly none of the AfricanWikis have ever held disclosure policies, based on my examinations there, so that would largely different how they and we operate encyclopedias); the only closest ones were French and Italian that also maintain a similar requirement. Obviously, it's fair to say Wikipedia has changed and has continued in the last years, and imaginably will continue, and being harder on selectively choosing articles is one of them. There are even countries that will either accept payment or donations to publish news, so therefore it wouldn't be independent if still primary; that's another factor into how genuine notability can be gauged and for us here. For example, I know that 10 years ago, we actually accepted company press releases as reliable, and that's not the case now. SwisterTwister talk 05:49, 30 July 2017 (UTC)

  • There are cases where even if an article has 5 sources, that alone cannot factor into Notability (source 1 is a company press release notice) and whether or not the article is advert-like. In TopYaps, there were no genuine claims of significance and there was a near CSD. In As for the later sources, they would not satisfy WP:Not guide, saying "articles or sources should not read like or be how-to guides". SwisterTwister talk 15:32, 30 July 2017 (UTC)

@SwisterTwister: Hi dear ! I have reviewed TopYaps as it had many sources for verification purposes per WP:WEB guidelines. The guideline for website unlike WP:BIO doesn't specifically mention criteria's it focuses upon sources. Apart from wiki guidelines search engines also showed it's significance as major reports by the website we're published on the top of Google news section. The website is quite notable has large subscriber base on social media accounts Anoptimistix Let's Talk 16:54, 30 July 2017 (UTC) Anoptimistix Let's Talk 16:54, 30 July 2017 (UTC)

However, the number is actually not quite as large as it seems; source 5 is actually a company profile based off the company's own website, and the middle sources are only guide-like marketing how-tos, those wouldn't satisfy WP:What Wikipedia is not. As WP:Notability says, quality coverage is what matters, not the number of republishings of reprints. SwisterTwister talk 02:50, 31 July 2017 (UTC)

The article Abdul malik Afegbua has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No sources at all

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Hopefully, someone else will create, or when and if I find out more I will. I do create disambiguation pages when there are two or more good links and then any red's are also added, but not if there is one good and 1 red.
